Well yeah, that guitar sound is really strange. It works well with the newer sounds but not the old ones. The Jazzmaster was something between PRS and his SG as far as sound goes. And for the other guy, that guitar is a Gibson SG Junior, not a Fender .And if you meant Ben's bass, it's a Lakland.

it's a "build up the hype" type of thing..sort of hinting the intro so people will get hyped up because right then they go crazy because they know the band is about to "blast out" and play Circles..and by blasting out that's when Mike and the rest of the band enters..and everybody's hyped up and starts jumping and going really crazy over the melody. This is why concerts have directors..to know which strings to pull for the audience. Geez, i analyze these things too much i think. hehe.
