Imran clearly mentioned in one of his recent lectures that his own student is salafi, and in this lecture (10:05) he says the salafi are his brothers and he means no disrespect for them! Is that demonizing them? His problem is with their methodology of understanding the Quran and Ahaadith, and he has his opinion regarding methology as a SCHOLAR of Islam. Is he not allowed to give his opinion in an intellectual discourse?
