to address the iceburg lettuce debate: it won't hurt them, it's just not particularly nutritious, as it's mostly water. you eat alot of it, you'll get the runs. they eat alot of it, same thing. a little bit is just fine. but yes, the greener leafier stuff is best, if only as a vitamin C supplement in their diet.

Not exactly. It depends on what kind.

ICEBERG lettuce is BAD for guinea pigs. It can make them sick.

Romaine lettuce is great for piggies.

Remember, guinea pigs are one of the few mammals that CANNOT make their own vitamin C. They have to get it from food.

you'd be surprised sometimes they look like mom, sometimes they look like dad, more likely they will look like both. sometimes they look like neither!

Yes. Cavies are social animals. It's not a choice between having one or two, it's a choice between having 0 or two (at least).

BUT if you are getting to male guinea pigs, make sure they are related. Because non-sibling guinea pig males CAN (not will but can) become enemies.

ive just got a guinea. hes probabaly a lil smaller than urs here and he makes those noises when he gets food and al almightly squeal when its finished (followed by louder screechings which i assume means hes angry that its all gome! lol) just wondering if its normal as ive not had a guinea since i was about 4 lol and that was a long time ago!!
