This is truly a silly memory! Now I have the whole song stuck in my head after, oh, how long? I was little when I saw this on the Sing Yourself Silly video.
But there was only one part of the video I didn't really want to see. After this song played, it would cut away to Maria and Luis (I didn't know who they were at the time) wearing those disguise glasses (the ones with a nose and mustache attached), saying "Now that was silly!" Now I look back at that and think, "Why did I ever do that?"
Oh. My God. I haven't seen this in years!! XD Sesame Street!! And this was the best thing ever! If you don't like Sesame Street, you lost all connection to your childhood. I <3 U Ernie!! I <3 U Honkers! I <3 U Dingers! And I especially majorly <3 Rubber Duckie!!! I love everything related to this show in every way! XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
I'm surprised no one has ever caught onto the fact that Ernie and Kermit's voices are (almost) identical. They were both originally done by Jim Henson. Now, his son does them. And, think of how much more of a stretch it must be for Frank Oz, to do the voice of Miss Piggy!
Actually I thought it wasn't working at first or the voice wasn't matching the picture correctly, but after listening and watching it, it seems to be working ok.
You could post up the other one if you want. Mine has not a clear picture, so maybe you might have a better one.
omg this reminds me of my dad! dont ask ! ... great memory

if the rhythm were more sinister, a song like that would be sung by Jafar.

For some reason, I was reminded of John Denver watching Ernie in his overalls and farmer's hat.

Are the horns & bells real or are the honks & dings in the post production stage? I think they're real.

I dont agree, Ernie sounds a little less nasal than kermit. And Steve Whitmire does Ernie and Kermit now, not Brian Henson...
