i lol at the lack of killswitch knowledge and tom morello's guitars in these comments, arm the homeless and soul power don't have 2 volume knobs for the pickups, they have the killswitches installed into them, a les paul doesn't have a killswitch, you just switch between the on pickup and off pickup.
actually arm the homeless is a completely custom creation. it's a frankenstein guitar, because the original company that made it for him did a really shitty job, and so tom retrofitted everything about it except the body, which is the only original part on that guitar.

you're right,but i think almost every gibson has 2 pick up with separated tones and volumes and a killswitch of course...buckethead uses a gibson les paul...
Technically what morello does is not a Legit "Killswitch". He turns the volume off on one pickup and leaves the other on 10. thus using his toggle he switches from the pickup that is off to the one that is on, it makes a kilswitch sound, but a true killswitch would completly shut off all electrical flow to the amp as if the guitar was unplugged. i hope that settled your guys little fued.
Allow me to explain tom morello's way. He takes a GUITAR (heard of that?).
OK, it has two volume knobs and two pickups. He takes the volume for on and turns it all the way off. Then the other one is all the way up. Then he uses the toggle switch to switch between them thus making a kill switch. My brother has talked to him and he even explains it in some videos. If you want me to send you the link just ask.

i think tom morello guitar "Arm The Homeless" is using a double humbucker pick ups w/c is 1 wire from pick ups- 1 volume knob.. 1 wire from 2nd pick to 2nd volume knob and then u nid a 2 way toggle switch each pick ups will be connected at the switch so dat if u off sa 1st pick up and switch down d toggle switch it has a sound :D
If you wanted on a Strat could you just wire one end of the switch to nothing an the other end to the guitar circut? (I know his is a double humbucker not a strat and his came with it)
Soviet is right. Tom Morello can afford a replacement any day of the week. That's why he can be so hard on his toggle switch and not worry about anything. But it is pretty bad for the switch.
But the Arm The Homeless guitar...and well...any guitar with writing on it that he uses are the some ones he uses every single time...so i dont think he replaced them.

The switch toggle is pretty cool, but I want to see some technique, use that over some jazzy blues licks or some smooth ripping metal solos, good style to implement into any style of playing, good job bro!!!

You can buy the same for less money: a Squier Fat Strat Black & Chrome =)
