Carter was sort of the last original cast member to leave ER. When he left, the show was sort of hard to grab on to, to relate to. Even though there were stil some good cast members on the show, like Maura and Goran, it was defiantly the end of an era.
does anyone know what the video that is called on here that is like the scene right before this where he tells abby about the letter dr.greene made him write when he first started? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANYONE IM DYING TO SEE IT!!
there are so many Mark Green scenes in the later seasons even though he isnt in it, but you always remember him when you see those scenes.. for example:
Carter teaches Michael the "two different kinds of doctors" stuff that Mark taught him in first season.
Carter says to Morris: "you set the tone Morris"
Morris getting woken up by Lydia just like Mark was in the very first scene of Season 1.
I miss Carter, and the whole gang. I grew up watching ER and maybe this is naive of me to say, but ER gave me a tiny glimpse of what it would be like to be a doctor, and I can gladly say that I'm on my way to being one.
This makes me cry evertime I watch it, I miss Carter so much! after he left the show it wasn't the same, it has never been as good since he left. Carter was E.R. for me. Hearing the voices of Mark Benton and Carol as he leaves is so amazing, watching this gives me chills. This is the perfect ending to the best E.R. character of all-time. I also totally agree that Carter and Mark had the most heart wrenching endings on the show. I really hope Noah Wyle comes back for the series finale..
That WAS Carol. Hicks had a very very different voice. This is Carol. Love the scene. I think I am one of the few people who still likes the season's following this one. I really love 14!
(sigh) I miss Carter, Benton, and Greene along with the rest of the old cast. I hope before this series comes to an end the whole gang reunites one last time.
This marked the END of when ER was decent and where it had decent storylines , I missed most of the last season and did not mind Grey's is a much better Show than ER now
ER really has to stop making me cry. I suppose it is a bad idea emotionally to sit down and have marathons with the season DVD's, but... I guess I'm a sucker for emotional blow-outs.
Me three, I also agree. Really loved the whole Paris episode with the running in the rain and all and this ending well it's definitely Carter worthy and I love the choice he made to stay in Africa. Michael Crichton always said that Mark and Carter were two characters that were always very special to him and very close to who himself is, so of course he made those ends unforgettable =)
Great. I think Greene and Carter had the best and most beautiful and emotional endings in the show. Although many people don´t like this storyline for Carter and thought it was great, helping the ones that really need you in Africa and try to raise attention towards them is always a fantastic choice. Thank you very much for the clip.
After this, Carter just marched out the front doors and Morris was sitting there and he tells him....... "You set the tone Morris"..... as a joke of course Haha........ I love that piano jingle, love this clip. Thank you a million trillion times for this clip and you set the tone Lady Phate
One day you'll look up, maybe ten years will have passed, Carter you're gonna make a good doctor, Carter you gotta hurry it up, you got a million things to do, you set the tone Carter......... OMG I could see this a million times and never get sick of it, so pretty it's making me cry with joy of course.
Carol's voice is in there. It's from the 1st season episode "Blizzard" when Mark and Susan put a cast on Carter's leg as a joke and then there was this big accident on the highway and the whole ER was in a frenzy but Carter was sitting in a room trying to get the stupid cast off which is when Carol said to him: "Carter, you gotta hurry it up, you got a million things to do".
You set the tone Carter
