The ballroom Bix played in at Hudson Lake is still there! It looks almost the same as it did when the Goldkette band played the summer.
In fact, The West End Jazz Band is hosting it's 10th annual Jazz Train Ride to Hudson Lake on Sunday May 1, 2011. Tickets are still available as of this posting. Go to their website for details: (Google "West End Jazz Band).
As of last year the cottage Bix stayed in was still down the road, an easy walk from the ballroom. Owner was trying to sell it.
One more Eastwood Lane roll "A Gringo Tango", can be found on the channel "ampicob". The tempos each of these piano owners have chosen are a bit fast in my opinion, but not so much to detract from enjoying the performances.
You can hear Eastwood Lane play two selections from his Adirondack Sketches, courtesy of a fully-restored Ampico player piano, on the Youtube channel pianmn199. The selections are "Down-Stream" and "The Old Guide's Story", both on one roll. This same user also has Youtube videos of two other Lane rolls of his compositions: "Persimmon Pucker" and "In Sleepy Hollow" (the latter a suite of 4 selections).
It's performed by the wonderful pianist Bernd Lhotzky - who has done some beautiful interpretations of Eastwood Lane, Bix's piano music (I used his version of "Flashes" in the video I made about Bix's early life) and music that Bix played (his version of "I'm Coming Virginia" is gorgeous)
Check him out on iTunes - he has some really great albums!
Thanks again, Mook, for a wonderful visual and audio experience. Your choice of music and images truly take me back to another era, and it's magical, just like Bicks.

The Blue Lantern is still there, just as it was. South Shore still operates to Hudson Lake which is the second to last stop before South Bend.
