I drove a Murano (co-worker had rented it) thinking it'd be more stable / carlike. First turn with a little bit of speed and it scared the crap out of me. Folks who like their high vehicles can keep em. I'm sticking with physics. The physics of being able to avoid wrecking in the first place.

Any moving object-including SUV- will flip if the speed forward exceeding its inertia and the abrupt change of its direction certainly contribute to it. Simple law of Newtonian physics.

seriously, this car is one of the most stable SUV or car in general. i've had mine for 6 years. still like new. i used to live in Nebraska where the snow is horrible and now in the desert. this car is amazing. I still like to know how you would flip a Murano.

hmm car held up well considering the weight, recovery service frankly terrifying to even watch, and for people who are slagging off muranos for rolling over i should point out that u can role anything it just needs the to get to a specific angle relating to the centre of gravity, it's simple physics (for the bond movie casino royal they rolled mustangs using a very small ramp to get the camera angles before using the DBS, proving the point)

I hope all of the occupants exited with nothing more than minor injuries. The vehicle can be repaired or replaced. People can be repaired but they can not be replaced. This vehicle actually held up pretty well especially its roofline.

Nah!! All you need is a conventional station wagon such as Subaru Legacy wagon, Volvo V70, Nissan Stagea.... there's more but I'll not go on. Basically, if you chose correctly, you can even have a little "sport" while carrying lots of stuff in its boot (or trunk). You can have a sporty drive after doing special deliveries. XD

I agree about the wagons... We just got out of an Outback (only because it needed too much work and we weren't willing to go through it again) and the stability is a lot more comforting in the wagon than in the crossovers.

@hollygreen1981 I rolled a '96 Outback and I was suprised how well it held up considering the nature of the accident. 6ft. drop straight onto the passenger side corner of the roof. It completely crushed it yes, but man what a drop it was. It was cool watching them pull it over onto its' wheels.
