  • 3:45 This is the way you go to the hospital! :L:L But yeah I loved the book it's uplifting and kind of shows you that you should just live life. I loved the last page where it was like "Live live live live." =] Great review. =]

  • @lostteen08 yessss!

  • this book is one my favorite but te only thing i dont like about my copy cause i accidently ripped it and i was very mad and would you kindly switch me copies thank you

  • its not a ward! lol

even Craig said so. its an Adult Psychiatric Hospital...

    Psychiatric Wards are long term.

  • Whoa Emma Roberts is definitely your twin! But I can see Andie MacDowell too (:

  • I wanted to point this out the first time I watched the video, then forgot. Your twin is not Emma Roberts. It's Andie MacDowell. Hope you see what I mean :)

  • @themissingn It's the hair.

  • I need to read that!!!!!

  • oh sounds really interesting! i wonder how it will compare you the movie? which i havent seen...

  • It sounds like Ned Vizzini would be awesome at NaNoWriMo!

  • @themissingn Oh definitely!

  • I just moved this book higher on my Books I Want To Read But Haven't Had Time To Buy/Check Out list.

  • @iamlordkimmiemort DO IT!

  • I really liked this book! It's so different from all the other plots I've heard. - jillian

  • Living in NYC, it's not that strange to live super close to a hospital. I live about 6 blocks away from one.

  • @SoloStellatv oh okay! I live in such a rural place that it's sort of rare to live that close to a hospital.

  • I read it a few years ago, I thought it was a great book ^_^

  • I finished the book a little over a month or so ago and I LOVED it! Great read!

  • @redvines731 Agreed. So good.

  • I just read this book earlier this year (though I picked it up in NYC in May 2010) -it was a very cool mental health-type book and I was sad that it took me so long to read it. Should I check out the movie?

  • @beyondelsewhere I actually haven't watched the movie yet

  • I just read that book this past summer and I definitely loved it. Plus, WOW! Emma Roberts is totally your twin!!!

  • I kept thinking while I was watching this video that you look just like Emma Roberts. I was going to say that in this comment, then you said you were going to buy the book with the cover of Emma Roberts because you look so much like her. I like predicted you were going to say that and didn't even know it until you said it... weird. Haha! xD

  • @bookmovieguy BRAIN POWAAAA!

  • This book is one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend. :)

  • I think I'm gonna pick this one up.

  • @MidnightPancakes Awesome!

  • good review, made me curious...I really should write this down!

  • @1book1review You should!

  • I really liked your review of this book. I think I will pick this book up, for sure :-)

  • @trioval83 thanks! please do!

  • i actually bought this book

  • @AwAriDoll Awesome!

  • @AwAriDoll lol yeah it was good! i was shocked when it was turned into a movie lol

  • I thought it was a really clever book. Unfortunately I didn't finish it. Maybe I'll pick it up again!

  • @RoxinPunch NIFTY!

  • I absolutely love this book. It is a really hilarious book even though it is about depression. It helped me out a lot.

  • @desertislanddream yes yes. i'm glad!

  • "This is the way to go to the hospital" LOL

  • @aleb110 :D

  • Love this story. xD So witty, and touching.

  • @KnorkiestKnorks agreed

  • BEST BOOK I hate movie covers

  • @Fundippsoyeah YEAH. I like his original covers.

  • One of my favorite books of all time!! So glad to hear your thoughts on it.

  • @AwKnees yayyy!

  • You DO look like Emma Roberts! I'll check it out. Great review Liz :)

  • @KateyMateyLaa Thanks Katie!

  • I kind of want to read it now but i'm reading The Great Gatsby which you should also start reading.

  • @Cosmo0819 Yeahhh I need to do that soon! :]

  • I loved this book. Also, I finally got to read Anna and The French Kiss a couple weeks ago. I was hesitant bc the title sounds so girly but it was an amazing book!! It wasn't too sappy or girly. It was just great! I don't want to get into a new series now bc I don't have time to read with my work schedule, but do you have any recommendations for a good newer book? Thanks for your awesome videos!

  • @lululala139 Yeah the cover makes it look super sap, but it's good stuff.

Lola & The Boy Next Door (of course), Beauty Queens, ANY of Sarah Dessen's books, White Cat, Red Glove

  • What I loved most about this book is that Ned was telling his true story in a fictional way, Ned now spends a lot of his time giving talks at schools around the country about suicide prevention.

  • @InterrobangYA Yeeessss. It's great

  • I absolutely loved this book!!

  • @dcpoxy07 Me too!

  • also, y ur hare whet?

  • @LukeMerren It's so dryyyyy

  • I read in your description "I bought this book myself and all opinions are my own". DO YOU EVER GIVE US SOMEONE ELSE'S OPINION LIZ?!?!

  • @LukeMerren Well.

  • I started this book once but then life got in the way and I never ended up finishing it, hearing this review of it makes me want to pick it back up... well there is that long plane ride...

  • @coherencynotrequired yeah, you should.

  • i watched the film before i read the book, and i found myself really disliking craig in the book. his character was more tolerable in the film, but i think the writing style became irksome after a while. both the film and the book were likable in certain ways, though! i'm definitely more of a film person, so i may be a bit biased toward the film adaptation :P

  • @ohceecee I would guess that the book isn't as... dynamic? as the film. It's the same way with Hitchhiker's Guide. The writing is a bit more laid back.

  • I really enjoyed this book, although I got kind of sick of his writing style after a while. I don't know why, but I did. I also enjoyed the movie but I felt it could have been a lot better. And and and I love the book cover and you're awesome and okay bye!!

  • @evisruc yeah it's really laid back (Writing). Sometimes the movie is more dynamic. YOU ARE AWESOME AS WELL

  • I was in charge of our YA Book Club at Borders and this was one of the books I selected to discuss. I absolutely loved it! Still haven't watched the movie. But that's okay because I love the book so much. =)

  • @nycityshinesbright yeah, the book is rad.

  • I read this book right around the same time you were reading it, which I thought was neat. I loved the book, but I haven't seen the movie yet and I'm eager to compare the two.

  • @TallShortGirl Yayyy!

  • This sounds really great! I think this is something I would really enjoy. You don't see too many self-discovery type books centered around male characters.

Oh yeah, and you're very pretty, I meant to post that before but I forgot because I'm ditzy like that xP

  • @SaveMePlease985 yeah, it's nice to find them.

    Thanks!

  • It's definitely a tough experience going to a psychiatric hospital and getting through it. I've been in one myself. Psychological issues have too much stigma around them; people tend to assume you're just acting certain ways for attention. It's good to hear there's a book that in a way is positive about it. =D

  • @Ragieous Yes yes!

  • I love the movie and i have the book; but i never get around to reading the book :P

  • @changethestarz You should change that. Right now. RIGHT NOW.

  • is a movie right

  • ahhhhhhh @ the vidcon sign on ur wall... did you go? 2010 or 11?! i was at 11

  • @MariaMoments I was at BOTH. #vidconHipster

  • @elizziebooks oh. i didn't see you. hipsters.... ahhh too mainstream.

  • This one is on my TBR list! Might have to get it soon (;

  • @thereadingchick YAY! Do it.

  • First!
