If you like the look and game play style of this, you should check out SIMULCRA on the Amiga it works really well on UAE Amiga emulator you can get the image in dozens of places. Its very like this but you can fly too, and your ship has various upgrades and boosters that you get from killing enemies. You have to shut down data grids, and it can be tricky how you go about it in later levels, Its simple gameplay that evolves into complex tactics.
This game got some crap because I guess there's no strafe button and the tron style computer theme was lame. But after watching this video I'm putting this game number one on my Jag wish list. Even after buying a Jag online I kinda still like to poke fun at it, but honestly I'm having a blast and think I can build up a killer collection despite the Jag's so called "lack of quality software"
This is a great game. It can get quite tough and it's a shame there's no way to strafe but I love the gameplay overall and the look of the game. Also the bonus flying missions are sweet!
Whew! Very impressive early 3D graphics. There were smoother-looking 3D games by the time of I-War,of course, but the atmosphere of a virtual world composed of a million colorful polygons is beautiful and effective in its own way,and Atari pulls that concept off to perfection here.
The problem is,it looks like you can only defeat enemies by trading shots with them. That would be a gameplay killer. Still,if I had a Jaguar I'd be hunting for this game. I love how the enemies shatter!
Seeing this video has inspired me to finally purchase this game because it looks cool. I have heard alot of negative things about this title but I've also heard alot of trash talk about the Jag and most of it is BS.
Did you get to play this with the Catbox thing?

PROS: really cool soundtrack, other arcade-style games should take note.
CONS: everything else.

I absolutely love this game! This is exactly the style of game that at the time was primarily found on the Jaguar with possibly a few exceptions.

Funny how Atari used samples from an AMIGA speech synthesizer.

There was so many polygons it made my head hurt. And what was up with Steven Hawkings saying damage critical in the game.

I actually finished this game! It's pretty good, though it does get repetitive. Still, a nice title overall.
