Tycoon was to be an English adaption of the very successful french musical Starmania. It never actually materialized but Tim Rice did put together an album of English adaptions of the songs with some of the hottest artists of the time. Celine Dion appeared on two tracks. She actually has recorded many songs from Starmania in french, including this one, with much success.

People forget about this wonderful song. Wasn't it supposed to be on a soundtrack to a musical called "Tycoon" ? Was the musical ever made ? Cyndi is INCREDIBLE. One of the best performers of all time.

It's taken from the english version of the most popular and successfull french musical ever, "Starmania"!

Unfortunately, it's was never brought to stage in english although the concept album was absolutely amazing!

I hope to see it on stage in english one day!

I don't know, I think if you translate this musical into English it will lost a lot of sense. French version is fantastic... Cyndi sings this song in an amazing way, though, I think it doesn't mean the same than in French version and the feeling that some French or Canadian singers reflect in it is absolutely different. It just an opinion, I prefer French version so far...
