"Although storms may descend, mountain and valley may quake, for the days that remain, this is the promise I make: No shadow fall across this land! Before the wind and fire I stand! And you, my child, will know no harm, enfolded in my arms..."
this is said, like, what... a day, max, before she decides to leave for Valinor, forever? Lol, fuck. "for the days that remain"- I would've assumed that for someone whos lived 6,000 years, her promises would have a longer warantee. Thanks, Gladdie.
@Ben1607 - and on that note, fuck the selfish Valar; and fuck their selfish "high" elven followers over there on Valinor. -The whole bunch is hardly any better than Morgoth, they totally left the children of middle earth to rot because they were too fucking busy enjoying themselves in paradise.
Saeros, Feanor, Galadriel, (there's probably more)- for apparently enlightened super-beings, alot of the "Eldar" sure do come accross as a bunch of clueless, egotistical, and self-righteous bastards.
@Ben1607 But she DOES stay until Sauron is defeated and Aragorn is made king. THEN she leaves with 99% of the Elves. So.... not entirely without guarantee.
@ModerneVampiressa - so what? Lets say I (Eru) had a family of 10 children (valar, elves, men, and others) and I let one of the bigger young boys (Sauron) beat the shit out of 5 of the other children (Men, Hobbits, Animals) while I watched TV with my other 4 children (Elves on Valinor), would the fact that my sister's niece (Gladdie) happened to interviene one afternoon (third age) and beat the shit out of the bully-boy (Sauron), and then she was like "Im never coming back-
Is Legolas the one singing this song in the musical? I have never seen it, but he sings to the Fellowship when they reach the Nimrodel River....And what character sings with him?
@JediLegacy Thanks for answering me!! :) And the last question, if you don't mind. I've been asking everywhere to see if the World Tour is really going to happen this year, but no one seems to know. Have you heard anything or have there really be no news about it?
@chocolatecookie15 I'm not sure, actually. As far as I knew (I haven't followed the news), the final performance was in 2008, the LOTR website (can't post the link) still says that there will be a world tour in 2011. Honestly, I don't have a clue, but it sounds pretty unlikely at the moment. I hope I'm wrong; it was pretty amazing. Sorry :(
@JediLegacy Yeah, I also checked the website...and I hope they really can make the tour this year :( Thanks for answering me though, I'll take your word for it being amazing :D
Michael Rouse's voice is as gorgous as he is. I personally like Michael Rouse better than Orlando's version. Although I like the blonde hair better, I like that the Legolas in the musical actually sings like he's supposed. more than once in the book Legolas is singing to himself or out loud to the fellowship...
Just stunning! I wasn't lucky enough to see this musical live, but just listening to the soundtrack makes me wish from the bottom of my heart that I could have been there every night! I wish it would return to the West End. In an age of "shallow" musicals like Legally Blonde and Mamma Mia (don't get me wrong, I love them both), it's a relief to find something so moving, something which captures your heart and your imagination in the way that LOTR does. The best musical since Phantom and Les Mis!
I'm afraid I actually got it from the Theatre Royale whilst I was there watching it. You might wanna try what MissLittleBrit suggested, cuz otherwise I'd have thought its impossible to get =[

WORLD TOUR 2011!!!!!!
hiblinist916 2 years ago 44
They'l most likely only go to specific locations due to technical resources. So
it may only come to a few cities in America, IF they bring it here. They hate the way Americans do theatre.

@hiblinist916 I hope this will be true! I want to see everybody from musical actors, but specially Michael Rouse:)
