This will sound sick but I actually like the smell of sweat at the gym and natural foor odor smells healthy to me as well. So I wouldn't mind it if I was smelling either of these guys' feet. But if the shoes are that bad, I don't know, I would have to experience them to see. But these guys seem so awesome, I don't even think smelly shoes would deter me from being around them!
These shoes gave me shin splints. I was bamboozled into the barefoot running business and this is what kept me off the streets from running for over a year. Now I run in Asics, the best shoes ever!!!
@JuliRafMardieta you must have put them on and started right away your suppose to walk the first couple of weeks before you run. the bones in your feet actually reform overtime and that's what makes it easier to run barefoot. I weigh 240 pounds and when I run/jog in them I'm fine, with shoes i get back pains and my knees buckle when running but everyone different.

I own:
KSO Trek (least stinky)
KSO [reg.] (worst stench until washing once a week with Tide)
Sprint (2nd worse)
Bikila (worn only 7 times so still fresh)
Bormio (least stench despite being full leather)
Just take a cap full of the detergent pour it into the shoe and make sure you cover THE WHOLE SOLE in both, throw them in the washer, pour another half cap of detergent. viola
I have bikila. And i dont know why but it doesnt stink. I wash it when its very dirty lookin. And when i wash it i soak it in tide detergent powder and after 8 hrs i wash it with clean water. And air dry until its very dry. Not very dry means its gonna stink. Like socks. Can someone tell me if its really safe when i wash it with washing machine? Doesnt it gonna rip a part of it?
great video guys. i enjoyed it! yes, vff do stink. thats why i have 9 pairs. i rotate them until they stink, then wash them all in the machine on cold. i've never had stinky feet problems my entire life before vff, but then, i've never worn shoes without socks before vff. go barefoot!
oxiclean or washing machine does get rid of the funk but not for more than two wears. i havent tried listerine as a user suggests, but baking soda overnight soak or denture cleaner does the trick. im sure vinegar will too but there will probably be a touch of that still lingering so i havent tried that. also, the video's intro music is too loud and you guys need to get a mic.
If you looked at the instructions you can machine wash them then hang them up to dry. They smell great afterwards. I bought two of the same pair and keep one washed and drying while I wear the other.

I have 2 pairs.
After running I just wash them with a bit of shampoo in the shower.
It is that easy.
Then I let them dry and they are fresh as new.
After working out with normal shoes you change your socks, do you?
So same thing with toe shoes.
For everyday use I wear (toe socks) that absorb sweat. So I my shoes don't stink.

Vinegar or baking soda. If you buy new ones, don't get them soaked and the smell hopefully won't be so bad.
