Ik ben blij dat ik nu ook iemand op sokken zie spelen. Mijn leraar aan het conservatorium (ik deed Docent Muziek met orgel) vond het maar raar als ik zei dat ik het liefst op sokken speelde dus ik op les stug met schoenen aan....

Je hebt meer contact en aanslag en bewegingen gaan subtieler en soepeler. Vioolspelen doe je ook niet met handschoenen aan.

Indeed. The pedal has a 1' flute, which at the end I gradually close off (after each pedal motive). This has to be done with care, because the pipe is very small and every millimetre affects the sound considerably.

Never seen anything like the ending on an organ before. Amazing! Is it accomplished by slowly closing off the stop?

Zonder schoenen spelen maakt soepeler bewegingen en een subtieler toucher mogelijk. Het begin van Tu Es Petra doet denken aan het bespelen van bv. een marimba, met stokjes; vandaar de vergelijking met een percussie-instrument. Uiteindelijk blijft het echter een orgel, dat klopt, en daarom heb ik de tekst bij de video aangepast.

Ook dit is interessant! Dat van die schoenen had ik beter hier kunnen vragen... ;P

Hoezo is dit een nieuwe manier van pedaalspel? Ik ZIE de link met percussie niet. Of zit dat 'em in de registraties? Die zijn in ieder geval erg origineel! Al denk ik dat halfopen registers op een orgel als dat in de Laurenskerk niet nodig zijn.
