  • more of an advertisement than anything else....

  • Sorry, I mean never good looking

  • durable watch but never good looing like Patek Philippe, Constantine, IWC, Jaeger LeCoutre and many others.

  • My favorite watch is a $25 Timex Expedition I found behind a bed stand in a hotel room, still works great, and that was 4 years ago. I never even changed the battery.

  • 1:1 SOLICITOR £750 LEAVING FOR BARBADOS TOMORROW NO FINANCE

    NO THANK YOU

MR ADRIAN DWIGHT SWABY MADE LSC

  • Wasted £4,000 on a rolex -_-

  • i have my dad watch automatic 40 years old its still working

  • the first time i took a lube and put it on, it was like entering into another place. That really caught my attention too LOL !!!

  • @child4ever dirty boy haha

  • ITS A WATCH DAM IT

  • BANG!

  • This video says nothing of "how" it's made. They only say it's "constructed" then the work conditions and the marvel of technology it is. What a false video title.

  • overrated and overpriced.

  • His voice makes me sleepy...

  • apparently rolex pays good to its employers.everybody in factory wearing rolex watches

  • @balikesier usually the employer gives a free watch after being hired on. but i wouldnt doubt that got paid well

  • Excellent video!

  • tis not that rolexes are " more accurate" that makes them cost sever thousand dollars it the fact that it would be the very last watch that you would ever have to buy. They are designed to last for generations. There are some watches that have been around for 5 generations that are still the exact same today as the day they came out of the factory.

  • i check my speaker till 0.32

  • people who buy these expensive watches are assholes, dumbassses

  • @gazzdhillon poor motherfucker

  • This is not how a Rolex is made. This is a workshop where they are repaired and serviced. Rolex manufacture nearly a million watches per year in factories. Lovely high quality watches but hardly hand made (and hardly exclusive for that matter).

  • Waste of money to spend that much on a watch, or any piece of jewelry really. How can you wear such a thing on your wrist when there are people starving in the world? A $100 digital watch would be only about 10 times more accurate than you would ever need - to do more is just extravagance and conspicuous consumption.

  • @skeeveskeeve

Because nobody should ever enjoy what their life has given them because others aren't as lucky?

  • @skeeveskeeve i take it you cant afford one then?

  • @skeeveskeeve I agree. A person who buys one of these can be either rich or pretentious. Either way, only a materialist dumbass would judge a person by his watch, his car or anything he owns.

  • SWISS MADE MEANS SWISS MADE.

  • There is not a single watch on earth that does not contain some parts manufactured in China. This is a fact. Truth is, there aren't hardly any products that do not contain parts from China.

  • China Likes this

  • Digital watches far superior.

  • @victorgenty Not really.

  • OHHH...SHIT, I just dropped a screw.....DAMMIT.

  • I bet the parts are made in china

  • @halffaceshow

    They aren't made in China.

  • notice the top two comments are from the same person...

  • This video is about watch assembly, which is entirely different to watch making. I want to see one man sit down and make all those little gears and intricate pieces.

  • @3nasacova lol my guess is a machine does it and some guy just makes sure its the right size

  • looks like it is tedious job to make Rolex

  • will it blend?

  • @darmaVVIP best will it blend comment because of how fragil and expencive this object is ahahhahaha

  • I've been selling watches online for a while now and I just bought out a large hoard of mens two tone(18k yellow gols and stainless steel) rolex datejusts, they have diamonds and come with an appraisal certificate. I'm selling them for 5k US dollar. I also have stainless steel mens and womens rolexes, two tone men and women rolexes, breitlings, even gshocks. I also have platinum and fully diamond covered watches. PM me if you're interested.

  • What would have improved this video immensely is if it showed how a Rolex watch is actually made, otherwise it was a good recruitment ad for watchmakers.

  • vintage opname LOL

  • The watch evolved over 1 million years,

  • you guys are lucky to even hav a Rolex on your wrist.. Id be more than glad to own an ordinary invicta or even a swatch woud be great. What more a rolex..

  • Comment removed

  • ive bought a high end watch its not a rolex but its a fineat its the same consept but they are realy nice running watchesi had to take it to a jewler because the 9 poped of and ended up right above the "3" and my crown was bent but none of that was my fault...i love my watch as any watch collector would. ive had a watch since i was 5 and im 14 now. so i love watches and i would pay anything for my self winding watch.

  • a invicta worse every penny you do but a rolex worth only one thing the dream of being a greater thing that they already have fucked you remember a submariner would cost about 800$ in late 70s now it's 6000$+ or more also they have no better value than a 200$ watch even swiss military would perform 20,000 m under water and this is officially certified ! fuck ur own self and tell me why you wear a brand that worth 1/6 of what it really cost?

  • @kingmax1001

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. The fucking ocean floor doesn't even go down to 20,000 meters. Might want to check your decimal places, there. And Rolex's (like them or not) DO hold their value pretty well because there are a lot of people who want to buy one; especially for a slightly reduced price from a NIB model.

  • transformerbc-$725,000.00 collection of watches!? I tend to think that the only person that is living in a different plant is you; and that planet is called YOURSELF. Only someone who is self-obsessed, or wacko, would spend $725,000 on just watches alone, even if that person had one billion dollars to spend. Now I KNOW that you are making it all up.

  • @p0669 Talking to an amatuer like you who does not know or understand about watches and collectors, is like throwing pearls to swines. There are Art collectors, Car collectors, Antique collectors etc: We can aford it. We do what we want with our money. Probably you come from a very backward country, and you may not know all this. I truly empathize with you. That's why you are surprised like " how can someone pay so much for watches " I truly feel very sorry for your ignorance. cheers mate.

  • transformerbc- I can see from the senselessness of your posts that you have not owned a genuine Rolex watch. Obviously, you have turned to the darkside of the force. A true Jedi knows that ony a Rolex watch is the most perfect watch in the world, and all their employees are perfect. The testing, manufacturing, designing, and operating of a Rolex watch is all guided by the Force. Only a Sith Lord deals in negative absolutes.

  • @p0669 Are you in a different planet ? or in some sort of an asylum ? Did I not tell you, that I do have some Rolex watches. Did I not tell you, that they were certified by the agents ? You must be from a sick planet, where wierdos exist, and surely Rolex has got a Jedi Clown to be their spokesman. I don't think you ever owned any high end watch in your life ( maybe a second hand Rolex ) It will be wasting my time mentioning the other brands, you may not be aware of their existence.

  • @p0669 You maybe a bit litterate, but educated !! No ! There is no perfect watch ? perfect employees. Go read your comics and watch your science fiction movies... and get stoned in a world of your own. What a laugh !!!!! No one in star wars wears a Rolex. Here's a piece of education for you. No automatic watch in the world is 100% perfect, near perfect maybe, and it all depends on it's usage. Only the twin quartz is perfect.

  • @p0669 Just for your information, I own a GIRARD PERREGAUX, VICTORINOX Swiss Army, JAEGER LE COULTRE, ULYSSE NARDIN, ORIS, AUDEMARS PIGUET, FRANCK MULLER, BAUME MERCIER, and a 50 yr old ROSKOPF and some high end Japanese wayches. These are just some of my collection over the years. They are all regulated on a high-end winder BUBEN & ZORWEG worth $5000.00US. I am obviousley talking to an amatuer....Don't throw pearls to swines. My collection is worth $725,000 US.

  • Rolex is as much a pharmacutical company as a watch company. They sell a drug. The average buyer has no idea what they are getting. They are good watches, but come on $4500 for an Air King in steel? It's rediculous. People will seemingly pay any amount for one. I like how the company is still privately owned and a non profit foundation, however.

  • @ethorii I see the point that transformerbc is making, and I fully understand his predicament. It does not mean if a watch is cheap 'IT'S NOT GOOD QUALITY" unless it's expensive, than it is good. It shows ones stupidity to think a $4500 grand Seiko is ridiculous. Nobody cares or bothered whether a company is privately owned or a non profitable organisation. The proof is in the pudding or simply said " the product " A wise man faces facts and admits magnanimously his error. " The cowards don't.

  • @ethorii Well known Pharmacutical companies too, have mucked up in some of their products, and have withdawn them from shelves around the world. By reading his comments I believe transformerbc knows what he is talking with regards to watches and their different grades of movements, which I myself never new in the first place. Tks. I totally don't believe he is anti-Rolex, otherwise he would not be owning some of them.

  • @ethorii I believe it is the complacency attitude on the part of Rolex not admitting it's fault in some of it's QC. Rolex prices keep on rising every year despite the downturn in the EUROS. The other point is: Japanese high end watches are reasonably priced because of cheaper labour, unlike the Europeans. High labour cost, welfare state, union controlled, long holidays, lazy working attitudes, and at the end of the day consumer bears the high cost for this european product. Come on! wake up !

  • @novad777 Are you suggesting that those are bad things? Many people have died for those right and for a very good reason. Do some googling on chinese factories to see what i mean. As for the cost of LUXURY watches: they are supposed to be expensive. Part of the price is the "true" cost of the product: assembly, shipping, materials etc. The rest is pure profit for the company. Notice the all caps on 'luxury'.

  • That is why the Rolex dial has printed on it, "Officially Certified Superlative Chronometer," because of the testing it undergoes at the COSC center. Once it gets back to the Rolex factory, the watch is assembled and then put through further testing by Rolex technicians. Rolex didn't become the most successful Swiss watch co. in the world by having movements that 'malfunction.' If you bought a watch brand new, and it immediately 'malfunctioned,' it wasn't a Rolex. You got robbed with a fake.

  • @p0669 I don't think you understood what I was trying to tell you ? This watch was from a authorized dealer, and certified and checked by the Rolex agents themselves with it's serial nos intact on the inside. You mean to say it's so perfect that it will never malfunction ? High-end cars and Rocket satelites do malfunction even after high extensive tests, even commercial planes for that matter. So you mean to say only Rolex technicians are perfect in the world.

  • @p0669 I am sorry to say, your ignorance has got the better of you, as you don't seem to understand what I have been saying all these while. If this was a fake I would not have bought it in the first place. If the local agents have certified it as genuine, than it looks like Rolex geneva is selling fake watches in conspiracy with their distributors ( This is exactly what you are insinuating ) If Rolex is perfect ....then you don't a service centre ? again you are missing the point. How absurd ??

  • @p0669 If it malfunctions, than it's a fake Rolex, If it works, than it is genuine. What if it malfunctions a month later ??? what you call that ?? please be realistic in your comments. What about the previous Rolex watches that I owned, which are working well and purchased from the same authorized dealer. Fake ? Don't put the blame on customers when something goes wrong when you are sorely responsible for it !!!!!! In this respect the Japanese are much better than the Swiss with no dignity.

  • @transformerbc : i have to agree

  • @p0669 The Japanese are man enough to own up to their mistakes and rectify it. You are absolutely right ! I got robbed by Rolex with a genuine fake " manufactured by Rolex Geneva. You know something " All the high end watch makers reps I know are laughing at your comments...the ignorance and understanding that you have shown. Sad to say you have missed the whole point.

  • That doesn't make any sense. Rolex sends every movement they make 2 the COSC testing center. For 15 days, in 5 positions, at 3 different temperatures, the movement is thrown around, violently shaken, and all sorts of other abuse and constantly checked and monitored, by special computer and camera equipment. Only 3% of Swiss made watches get the COSC certification and even then a Rolex technician will put the watch through further testing to see if meets their exact standards. QC is HIGH.

  • transformerbc- I have owned two Rolex models now and after reading one of your posts, it makes me wonder if you had a real, genuine, Rolex watch. Rolex is constantly making improvements in their movements to make them better, more accurate, and more durable. Did you buy your watch from a genuine 'Authorized Rolex Dealer?'

  • @p0669 Hi ! It's definitely a genuine one, with all the serial nos. intact, and from a authorise dealer. Even the best watches in the world out of a million or thousand could malfunction at times. Nothing is perfect. It even happened to a Patek Phillipe which cost around US$180,000. There is no question about durability with regards to the Rolex, but the QC is in question ? Have they become more complacent ? with no regards to customers sentiment ? Unlike the Japanese Seiko Grand.

  • @p0669 It's a masterpiece. If there's a malfunction, in any of their products, they replace a new one immediately with no questions asked, but unlike the swiss these days they are quick to blame the consumers, except for making chocolates. The Seiko Grand costs about US$4000.00. The movements are fantastic. A complain to a Japanese means his life, unlike Rolex ! The can't be bothered attitude. COSC certification is a sales gimick (serve the internet ) and see for your goodself .

  • @transformerbc The Seiko Grand is not $4,000... and from what ive been reading YOUR collection is not worth $750,000. sure you have a couple that are $5,000 and up(Franck & Girard) but only a few. so from what iv'e read, i would say it's worth $20,000 to $30,000. Sorry to say, you were a few $100,000 off.

  • @nblincoe Sorry to say ! I don't think you understood my whole point. The collections that I have are from the mid-eighties. What I have mentioned are only a fraction of my collections, not all. In some parts of the world, especially in Asia $750,000 is peanuts to many. In welfare states, it's unthinkable and beyond human comprehesion, say ! to even own a $1,000 watch. Besides collecting watches, I also collect high-end amplifiers and tuners, which again will be unthinkable to some. cheers mate

  • @transformerbc

    Post a picture or stfu

  • @p0669 A friend of mine had a Rolex GMT II which ran about five minuites a day. His complains went into deaf ears. He gave up on Rolex after several complains and vists to the service centre. I own five Rolex watches that were purchased about twenty years ago, and are doing well so far, but the new ones are RUBBISH ! Years ago they were unknown, it's because of the publicity Hype they are selling, and not on quality or movement. the price increases every year. ETA movements are just as good.

  • @p0669 Finally as I mentioned ETA movements class A is just as good or better, like TAG HUER, LONGINES, OMEGA and many other swiss brands without COSC certification -4/6+ accuracy as apposed to Rolex in house movement with COSC certification -4/6+ accuracy. So there you are. Paying more for nothing.

  • I am making this comment, because I had a Rolex sports model, fully Gold, paid a bomb for it, but had to sell for a lower price, after encountering several problems. VERY VERY BAD QC. It's total ripp off.

  • Their latest mechanism on their automatic watches are are not as reliable like some twenty five years ago. timing is not accurate. Dealers are told to give excuses instead of money back guarantee or replacement if there's something wrong with the watch within a month or week. You have to pay a hefty price for a malfunctioning Rolex watch.

  • Don't trust Rolex watches, they are not well made. Their automatic mechanism has problems. The service is bad, and they don't seem to care about their customers anymore.

  • If you don't like the watches of today then buy a watch of yesterday

  • why design such sophisticated watches? they do the same job as any other kmart watch....tell time. so why?

  • @just1left2002 Craftmenship, Quality, Elegance, Sophistication, Indulgence. Given the choice between Kmart or Rolex, I'd take the rolex everytime.

  • @defender5151 i also agree the luxury watches are classy, and nice looking i dont have a rolex its a fineat but its had no problems except for the 9 poping off and my crown was bent during shiping but thats it it only cost me 22.95 t0 fix the problem they had to take the crystal out to fix it. its amazing what jewlers can do!!!

  • extreme class....extreme refinement.....extreme luxury.......ROLEX.....

  • machine

  • Amazing VDO! I had no idea Rolex were made by hand! Now I understand the cost factor.

  • Thank You Excellent Tutorial

  • nice bro

  • You're 12.

  • 12? like how?

  • It's easy to tell when you type like that.
