i have a legit from the 70s and i have one of the reissues... i like my 70s strat so much more, kills the reissue any day of the week. but the reissue wasn't bad

I got a MJM dallas boost on trade for my tube screamer, has switch for cream tone or spike position to adjust to your pickups, cream side really warms and thickens the sound big time BUT takes some highs off and tad of fuzz on top.Not sure if im keeping it yet. Theres some really cool sounding fuzz pedals out of England call D*A*M all vintage parts and handmaid if your into that
I had a MIM strat with vintage pups, had those put it and I bought them used, any ways it was way to thin sounding on the vox on the hot side. Cold wasnt too bad but clean on the normal channel was great, think it was position 2 on the pickups. I heard alot of people not liking those pups, the Area 51 what ever the name from was from dimarzio were real good sounding. Les pauls and SG sound great on the hot side because there warmer guitars.
@kissrocks45 I am one of the few people (I guess), that doesn't like the "hot" boosted mode in the Vox, It makes it sound really thin. The OCD is good, it does make it a little thicker, but still not "marshall thick". I find the OCD to be just the next level of distortion from the full drive. so I use the full drive for slight to heavier overdrive, and the OCD is a similar tone but more distorted, and a little more bottom. Hope this helps (I'll demo the OCD with the box.
