Nice all in one unit, but haven’t hear anything from a miko that sounds good. The sound quality is not really there for the price you have to pay. But it’s still a great unit for rap and hip hop music. I think the AD and DA converters are not the best. Like to hear something with a better recording if you or someone has one. Do you know of a track that was recorded with the miko so I can hear a better recording of it?
Yo! Props! for REAL yo! I've been lookin for a good synth to buy, and now I've got a target to set my sights on. Love it, yo. Thank you, legit. *DJDj Out*
Miko and Neko are nice pieces, but Native Instruments Maschine with the 1.7 version has VST integration which gives you direct access to 10s of thousands of additional sounds. Maschine + Komplete 8 is a killer combo. and costs a fraction of what the Miko and Neko costs and is much more portable and flexible IMHO. The sampling workflow is tight too. It is really fun to use
I don't really know too much about Miko, but isnt it the same as a PC and a Midi controller, except the both of them are in it or does it have something else that is special?
Your right. They are suped up pc's with keyboards. Ok. What's your point. That's the goal they were trying to reach. And they accomplished it. Yayyyy. Keep it up open labs. Thier will always be broke haters.
@pimp1pimpc there actually souped down computers, 32-bit 2gb RAM 2ghz processor a $300 laptop at walmart is better than that...it's only purpose is a midi controller and a free DAW that I could crack if I wanted to use. This is a complete waste of $3500
@RizzoAstronama lol dude, you dont know any of what ur talking bout.. those open labs neko's have 20.000 stock sounds, software for around $2000 not calculated with the sounds. so stop hating, try to afford one, before having such critiscism
@RizzoAstronama yes because $300 laptops come with a midi keyboard, touch screen + 20,000 stock sounds. Apparently you have zero idea what this product is actually used for. When it comes to what it was made for, it slaughters even a $2k laptop.
Well i came in this useing the SP1200 Akai s950 and MPC 60,that was years ago now i'm rocking with logic and that shit is boss. Just use whatever works for you.
hey what up boss i just got me an miko about a week ago and i would love to have those sounds do you have them already in format sfz or however i need them so i can just play them sound for sound in the miko if so hit me at 601-454-5154 oh and check me out on my miko lets shut these pussy ass bitches mouts hit me up ..........ask 4 redboi
the current crop of shit music coming from fantoms/motifs etc is evolving into a new crop of shit from Mikos/nekos etc
Music is generic enough without people who get sponsorship telling us to copy them...this shit is for wannabes who will mortgage their life to make beats that will be outa date by the time they get one
word. everyone just wants to fit in. its not what u have, its how u use it. i respect cats who use these items as tools and not just something to flaunt. most of these dudes aint even musical minded. i know dudes on fl studio who make better music than these dudes an their 5000 dollar COMPUTER keyboards. the open labs line aint shit but shit suped up pcs wit keyboards on them
I feel u %100 bro, the miko nice but if u a wack producer u just making more wack beats on a $5K keyboard and it looks good to have on your myspace like ooh i got all this gear i must be hot
hahahahahaha, nah man, more than a toy, and as far as fantom and logic go, that dont even compare to an Open Labs bord, u not just paying for the bord and computer, u also paying for software that would usually run yo ass 1-2g's. Yeh, u got ur fantom, but Miko owners have payed an extra G for a Miko, and they can run ANY DAW, and simply buy a fantom, clone all the sounds off the fantom, and send that board back . . . No competition, open labs killin everything, end of
That thing looks Queer. It looks like what the future might look like according to Gary Glitter. Dudes beats are sick though and with everything fully programable, it sounds like some cats could make lemonade southern sytle. I'm looking for something better than the Maschine from Native Instruments. I live loop and need live sampling. Thanks for the vid and hit me up if you have an id Ears......
I once tried the miko in a store it was pretty cool
it's basically a pc with a built in midikeyboard I mean why should pay thousands of dollars for something you can with a regular pc....and I don't like the fact that is does everything LOL I like to have hardware in my studio like soundmodules keyboards a big ass mixingboard that kinda stuff gives me the feeling that I'm a producer LOL
Think about it first.. if you had windows xp home edition, the free version of Reaper and regular soundcard and 25 key audio controller and vsti plugins wouldnt life be great? but that's a meeko is.. trust me i love hardware but dont ever buy stuff becuase of hype
Man! first I was like FK" that Miko even after all the miko vids I done seen, even the ones from timbaland, lil jon and the industry cats, but This vid right hear mad me want one, That real talk, I think im going to go ahead and cash out on one. Peace! RILEYBOY BEATS
