  • reboot should never happen.

  • .... oh god, you're a moron. Love or hate Nolan's Batman movies (I personally don't care for them and think they are ridiculously overrated; but that's me) - they are set in a supposedly superrealistic world. Hell; Nolan was even a big jerk enough to ruin Gotham City and making it look like - and I quote from behind the scenes of Batman Begins here - New York on steroids. We need the real deal, which a reboot can give us. And of course Justice League won't be released n 2013... are you dumb??

  • By reinvent i think that itll be like batman beyond (just what jeremyjahns mentioned). think about it, if this is the last batman before a reboot and BANE is in it that basically calls out bane breaking batmans back or something and then someone else will take over batman. get me?

  • I think you watched that YouTube Poop "Batman Wears Hockey Pants" cuz he actually says "I'm NOT wearing hockey pads".

  • Nothing wrong with a reboot. It's like when comic book titles get worked on by new writer and artists. But please, no origin story.

  • a batman beyond film would be amazing!!!

  • How is chuck Norris badass?

  • If anything, they should make a movie of Batman Beyond.

  • Here's the thing... can you immagine Aliens in Batman Rising? SpaceShips, things from another world and real super villains?

This Batman What if Batman was real? fighting crime lords, psychos, mobs,...

But fighting Aliens, robots, SuperVillains, monsters or other superHeroes? no...

So Im Ok with this New reboot so that they can get out of it all and seal it.

  • @AshPeace do you mean The Dark Knight Rises?

  • @vishifishi01 Yes and I cant immagine him fighting along with superman and the justice league againts aliens and monsters... thats just... wrong!

  • @AshPeace I know what you mean. Nolans created this realistic Baman universe and WB are gonna come and shit all over it as a thank you to Nolan for making them $100000000.

  • DC: OH YEAH? Well, we are gonna make a JLA movie and we don't need clever planing or charicter building or years of hard work. And our movie will be better than yours nanananana!

MARVEL: Ok buddy. (pats DC on head)

  • @supernerdproductionz This is actually a rather interesting reversal of what Marvel and DC did with their Avengers and Justice League cartoons. In the 90's, Marvel made an Avengers cartoon without any build up whatsoever. But DC allowed the universe from the Batman and Superman animated series' to expand before they created a JL/JLU cartoon.

  • Who do think would be a good director for a new Batman movie?

  • Batman Beyond!!! would be so epic... they have got to do it...

  • This Clint Eastwood reference was epic!

  • I think I understand why they want to reboot batman.

The actor who played the joker in the dark night died, so rather than try and find someone to replace him, they want to start over and create a joker that is similar, but doesn't feel like they are trying to redo what was already amazing and have it fall short.

besides, this way we might be able to see the joker take on batman some more.

  • Clint Eastwood as elder Batman?! FUCKN YES!!

  • god dam it batman has been rebooted more than my pc has

  • @torquetheprisoner so true lol

  • my god is warner brothers naive

  • let's face it guys...nolan put batman in a tiny box. There's no way some of batman's sci fi villains can exist in nolans universe so a reboot is necessary.

  • @ULTIMATESPIDEYFAN well if you think back to how they fitted Bane to be a disgruntled wrestler to be another risen leader of the rule-less side and cunning, but still be the man that can break batman. So they can even make Poison Ivy real, cause her original wasn't all poison kiss and such. she did other things too.

  • Comment removed

  • You make a Justice League movie, bring it on, I'll go will all my friends to watch it.

You reboot this series... F88k you, WB!

  • WHAT THE FUCK WARNER BROS DONT REBOOT OR RE INVENT WHATEVER THE FUCK YOUR TALKING ABOUT ITS A GREAT BATMAN SERIES AND I THINK NO ONE IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD REBOOT IT PLEASE DONT REBOOT IT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BATMAN BEYOND!!!!! oh god, i would love if nolan made a batman beyond movie.

  • I like Batman, but i think they should give him a break and give another hero a shot. Flash anyone?

  • Must be honest, I'd like to see an adaption of The Dark Knight Rises, done well, of course.

  • If they make a completely new Batman after Rises, then they should name it "Batman Reborn" and make a story similar to Batman Beyond. That'd be cool and yes, Clint Eastwood as an old Bruce Wayne sounds great. Nicolas Hoult as Terry McGinnis(new Batman)??

  • i really wonna see a flash movie but batman reboot my guess it will fail badly

  • justice league movie 2013 they better have the smallville cast or i will fucking murder them

  • Don't you dare speak the words "Lord of the Rings reboot".

  • The Reboot is necessary only if they make the Justice League movie since Nolan's Batman is not in the same Universe as every other DC Hero.

  • i have hated joel schumacher since batman forever

  • 1:09-1:11 rofl

  • they should at leased hold up for a few more years for this Batman reboot, at leased say 5/6 years? But you never know it could look awesome and turn out to be an unexpected "just as good as Nolanverse" batman film. I'm basing this on how awesome The Amazing Spiderman looks from the trailers. JLA movie = good luck with that (Y) Seriously it's such an obvious "well MARVEL are doing the avengers.....Justice League anyone?" I kind of hope it flops because with diff actors and new characters = NO

  • If they're going to do another Batman franchise, I seriously think they should cast Gerard Butler. He looks like Bruce Wayne and I'm sure he'd be able to play him good too.

  • Eastwood does have a batman voice lol. He would be PERFECT as an older Bruce Wayne.

  • the green lantern actually mentioned Superman

  • i will give it a chance after the dark knight rises, but the whole fact they are doing a reboot with new actors and director i will just say this, if you want to make a better triology then the current batman movies then HA GOOD LUCK! i dare you to try and end up that as that one director everyone laughs at in movie conventions

  • Batman Beyond is needed because Terry is the coolest Batman

  • Yeah, they need to go "beyond" with it. If they insist on crapping out batman movies, that's where they should take it.

  • superman new flick looks like shit, there making everything look different which is like no, the point of movies are details... reynold should play flash i will give him that, but not Hal Jordan COME ON!!! that movie blew donkey dick. and HJ is such an incredible character i think they should at least do a Justice of Society of America to introduce the JLA...

  • We need new unknown actors to play our childhood heroes, they need it to keep it traditional and keep in original no enhanced fucking suits of armor unless there going to the Rose kingdom come side of the story but thats later... but to be honest dark knight movies did not capture batman morbid persona and his martial arts and mind.. not saying i want some crazy bastard jumping around every where.. but you can see to much detail in batman armor which sucks because batman is mysterious

  • I think part of the real reason is that Nolan wants to complete batman but not with bane he wanted to end it with joker but probably thinks it's fucked to replace ledger who died so I think that bothered him .Nolan's batman films aren't exactly too matched up with the comics story and character story or personality but his movies are the most looking realistic

  • @JeremyJahns "Reinvent Batman". If Warner Bros. and Legendary get it right, and the mind of a director who is like Nolan but has his own way of creativity, It would look something like this /watch?v=6RppxhOdby4

  • I think the Batman Reboot should be like the Batman Arkham Video Games. Who's with me?!!!?

  • @29AndreG im with you

  • @MrSharon783 Nice, is any one else who thinks this is a KICKASS idea?!?

  • @29AndreG Why don't they just make a Batman Beyond movie?

  • @29AndreG That would be horrible. When movie exactly copy the game it mostly sucks balls.

  • Maybe they want to reinvent Batman on the chance that the third Batman movie dissapoints.

Which considering that the expectations are enormously high, and the fact that YouTube critics like this guy don't seem to have considered the possiblility of it not living up to expectations, may just happen. Not being a troll, just giving my thoughts.

  • I feel like if they wanted to do a JLA movie they should just use the trinity. There is already Batman and Superman movies coming out, all they need is to bring in Wonder Woman. The interaction between the characters are always interesting and the action scenes have the potential to be epic. Gina Carano would be a perfect Wonder Woman, just saying.

  • @cd64803 Actually that's not a bad idea. Yeah what better way to introduce Wonder Woman than by introducing her in a batman and superman movie.

  • Nolans Batmans are way to grounded.

  • califilipino didnt they say that about tim burtons batman

  • Batman Beyond is fucking awesome!

  • An animated Justice League movie would be amazing. Just saying.

  • I want Batman to live on in cinema as long as possible, period. Warner Bros. would be smart to make a hybrid of what Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan created and keep the dark/gloomy atmoshpere(no campy shit like Batman and Robin). As far as Warner Bros. wanting to make a Justice League movie, if it's animated it'll probably be a better quality film (just a hunch); if they decide to cast people and do a live action movie, that guy in the video is probably right, it'll most likely tank.

  • @darkpoetree If done well a live action Justice League movie could be successful as Marvel was with Xmen and Fantastic 4 plus sequels of both and they are soon releasing the Avengers.

  • @hydrolito I agree with that but what makes me think twice is the fact that they're trying to do it in such a small time frame; if they worked about 5 or 6 years on something like this, I have no doubt they could establish a decent live action Justice League movie. 2 years after "The Dark Knight Rises" is an injustice to a Justice League movie. And I loved the Fantastic 4 movies so i also agree there.

  • 1 word

    Cashgrab

  • A franchise like Batman is ever growing and changing. Eventually, like the '89 Batman franchise before it, The Nolanverse will be rebooted. It is the way of the world. New continuities are ways to get new ideas so that the franchise can evolve.

  • There is only one way batman reboot could work and outdone chris nolan , if James Cameron makes it , which is not going to happen.

  • @balwindergill1 .... wtf...

  • The logic behind a batman reboot is to get a different version of batman than Nolan's and there are a surprising amount of ways they can take it. The point is not to screw the Nolan trilogy but to say that's it's own continuity and start a new one. Like how each animated series is different from each other

  • David Fincher baby. Imagine that fucker creating batman.

  • "DC" (ie the companies that own the movie rights) need to get their S together and make some GOOD DC character movies (which, other than the last 2 Batmans) are just...well, not good. Green Lantern wasn't unwatchable...just not good in the way that many of the Marvel movies have been. They need GOOD movies with the core characters and THEN launch JLA. And wait a few years to have the Batman reboot. Spidey waited 5 years; let's at least give Bruce that much.

  • Further more: 1. We've seen Batman, in his own movies as a "Tough, brooding, dark, Lone Warrior" type. In a JLA movie: We might see him as a "Tough, brooding, dark, Gen. Patton" in JLA.

    2. Granted: 2013 WOULD be too soon, We're still waiting on a Wonder Woman movie, AND The Flash. So we're probably looking at another 4-5 more years before JLA goes into production, IF Warner Bros. is SMART about it. Let's Hope they are.

I hope they do a Batman Beyond, BUT, They'll need to do JLA first.

  • You guy don't listen well, do you? He said "Reinvent" NOT "Reboot". There's a difference between these two words. Further more, Nolan is NOT the end all be all of Batman's existence, neither is Bale for that matter. Granted: It WONT be like Dark Night, but that's because of a really small detail that all of you are over looking: IT'S NOT A BATMAN MOVIE, IT'S A JLA MOVIE!!! Just because Batman's in it doesn't make it Batman's movie. So just chill, alright?

  • reboot of batman ?! wb has gone crazy.....screw them

  • wtf dont reboot it. its still good! after some thing is good dont fuck with it you'll just ruin everything.

  • batman beyond would be very nice

  • I hope they go back to the comics - only they do it right this time. When people think of the Batman movies inspired by the comic books they think of Schumacher's awful interpretation. Tim Burton did it right when the first Batman movies were created. Without Burton, the Batman movies would be nothing. Of'course, Burton's vision needs to be updated. People shouldn't doubt the reboot. As long as they find the right person again, I have every faith that they won't fuck it up.

  • I WANT BATMAN BEYOND.

  • Doesn't everybody think it's irrelevant that just because there's gonna be a new batman movie after TDKR that it's gonna be another schewmaclker film? I'm pretty sure they're gonna make it just as dark as the comics we're currently reading.

But then again people R probably getting tired of me arguing so fine sure you guys win I can't reason with anyone on the web... I am Done.

  • To early to comment on what a Batman reboot would be like. Since the Nolanverse is seperate to all other DC characters, a rebot for Batman is needed to tie into a Justice League movie. But to make a successful JL movie with the New Superman and Green lantern films tied in it would need to come out after a second GL movie and The second Superman movie with the new Batman reboot between those to movies so they all have a chance to tie in with eachother.

  • if they reboot then we'll be back at square 1 shitty batman movies like we were in the late 90s before Nolan brought the series back

  • Like 4 Batman Beyond

  • Fuck the Batman Reboot!!! Maybe a reboot after 10 years, but not now!! It's too soon.

  • @BatBadAssMan i'll put it to ya lyk this: seeing the current nolan-verse batman in the justice league movie wuld b lyk pumpkin pie ice cream with beef stew. yup. thats why nolan has to reboot it

  • Clint Eastwood needs to be in something batman. He was going to be two face in the batman series but the people who made the show thought it would be to grusome.

  • @calvins1998 if clint eastwood would act in one it would probably an live action version of the dark knight returns definitely

  • When im older i wana make a batman beyond movie

  • Little Truth...

    1. I'm tired of computer language working it's way into the english lexicon - "Reboot"

    2. Nolan never had intentions of making a 2nd film let alone 3

    3. Batman is 70 years old and does not live in the movies

    4. A character that iconic have have many inetrpetation or directions, so stop crying.

    5. People assume films have to have continuity as in part 1, 2,3, etc...

    6. Nolan's Interpretation is not the best or only, how about Grant Morrison or Alan Moore?

  • So after The Dark Knight Rises, you don't want any other Batman movie made ever?

  • It makes sense why they would wanna reboot it. only because Nolan's movies are just realistic versions of batman. and superman/flash/wonderwoman ect. would not fit into that catagory of the whole realism. so i can get that tthey wanna redo batman to be able to fit a Justice league movie like they did with all the marvel movies. and from that reboot of batman they would make superman or flash ect. leading up to Justice League...but I think they wanna do another batman, just have nolan do a 4th.

  • Think about it, they can't continue the Nolan Batmans because the realistic Batman won't work if Superman (an all powerful alien) is in the picture. That just doesn't make sense. They need to reinvent (or reboot if you prefer) Batman and make it so he's a bit more comic-like and fake, with a crazy joker (if they use him) etc. There will be a mention of Superman, I'm sure, and vice versa. Then some movie (or 2) in between then and the 2015 JL movie. It's not a continuation of Nolan's films.

  • It IS a reinvention. The new Batman will have NOTHING to do with Nolan's (epic and realistic) Batman tellings, it will be reinvented for JL movie. I'm guessing the new Superman movie coming out will also set up the JL movie. The JL movie will be in 2015 and NOT in 2013. Nolan will stay on as producer (or as a supervisor) for the set up movies and JL movie just to make sure they do a decent job. Nolan's Batman films will remain preserved as the greatest series of all time (in my opinion).........

  • If they do reboot batman at least have the director of 300 or saw direct it....

wait that would be the dumbest shit as well

  • That WOULD be the dumbest shit...EVER!!!

  • Ummmm... Rebooting Batman... It's not broken... Don't fix it.

  • Chuck Norris as Batman would be the greatest thing since Anne Hathaways birth.

  • i actualy think a batman reboot is needed at this point. the Nolan movies are the origin story of batman essentialy. In Begins, Bruce becomes batman and sets his standards. In Dark knight He learns how to deal with an opponent who´s the total opposit of himself as well as facing the consequences of his double-life. Rises will by the looks of it be about Knightfall and batman learning to cope with defeat and finding balance with his double-life. After rises, he will be Batman as we know him,

  • avengers will suck cuz of the director and the fact its a 3d movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Of course there will be a "Batman re-boot" - lets all use our brains here and think about this for a min.... Actors/Directors move on & reboots in movies happen every year. Do we really need another Buffy movie? (its a re-boot) Do we need another Starship Troopers movie (its a re-boot) point being. Sorry to burst everyones bubble. But things change all the time. (For the better or worst)

  • I have nothing to say except thanks for stealing the words out of my mouth

  • i hope they reboot it and its like the arkham asylum games i've always thought even i could write a better batman but why would they want me to write the script?

  • Batman mention Superman in Batman and Robin.

    oh...

  • The only batman reboot I would like to see is Batman Beyond. Possibly if Clint Eastwood was still in the game, he wouldn't be bad for old Bruce.

  • They should make black mask the main villain

  • HEY HEY, ILL HAVE ALL OF YOU KNOW THAT GOTHAM CITY WAS IN FACT MENTIONED IN "SUPERMAN RETURNS" (2006). SO YEAH.....YOU AINT GOT NOTHIN ON THAT. p.s. your still awsome jeremy

  • i think they should just countinue batman from were nolan leaves, they can intreduce robin and batgirl later on, hopefuly they will do that, becouse i would to see a darker more series robin, and hay the fourth movie can have two face, aka harvey dent, still alive, if they don't do that in the third.

  • Dude, there's a really big reason to reboot Batman.

    It's called fucking money!

  • the only thing good about dc right now (for me at least) is their game batman: arkham city.

  • Marvel is good in movies, but their comics are alot less interesting to me. I hate the characters. It is too bad they can't do a jla movie, because if they did it really good, it would be more badass than marvel.

  • They should just continue the story onward from smallville. Batman and the other super heroes are mentioned in this series. They hat need to continue from there

  • Good God.. Marvel has their shit together, DC is all over the place. It seems to me that anytime someone attempts to do a DC movie, they take a lesser known franchise or set of characters or something that isn't generally accepted. None of the newer releases of Batman have mentioned Supes and Superman never mentioned Batman like Jeremy said.. Warner bros is ruining everything with this reboot of Batman, and "The man of Steel" is probably gonna do bad as well.

  • without nolan the series will be NOTHING

  • @califilipino If it turns out to be better your 5 thumbs and yo ass will feel reaaall dumb.

  • @jesse10022 nahh bruh now i only got 4 thumbs cuz i wonder who gave it thumbs down... but anyway yea the series isnt getting any better when nolan leaves lol

  • @califilipino he won't be directing but i did hear he will be a producer

  • @thegroove14 yea i just hope it wont be like transformers with spielberg directing it tho....

  • @califilipino Wrong. Without Burton there would be nothing.

  • @aidenmccloskey talking about the nolan series tho

  • @califilipino They're not continuing the Nolan series. They're beginning a new one.

  • @califilipino false. animated series > batman from 90s > justice league/the new batman animated series > nolans stuff.

  • @EnvelTheTrader not talking about any of that other shit. im talking about the nolan series that will possibly get another director

  • @califilipino oh. ye i kinda wanna see a reboot with no relation to nolan series.

  • @califilipino Nolan came no where near to the comics nor the TRUE portrayal of Batman. And the sotry is completed jumbled around and incorrect

  • @califilipino The Tim Burton ones are the best.

  • @V33ct4wr are you high

  • I don't think a re-boot is a bad idea. The difference between Batman and the Lord of The Rings is that the Lord of The Rings is a single story. Batman, however, is a character with tons of great stories and villains and various ways to interpret the character. Adam West Batman is just as valid as Frank Miller Batman. I'm honestly glad Nolan won't be directing any more movies after Rises because I really want to see where a new creative team will take the character.

  • They mentioned superman in Batman and Robin. "This is why Superman works alone."

  • @MrHugawookie Batman and Robin is not a modern day Marvel movie.

  • @timmyenminoes Of coarse it isn't. It;s DC.

  • I really dnt like DC movie except Batman the dark Knight rises because I'm in it as a prison guard but seriously marvel is a way better franchise basically because the tell story of their characters an brings them all together unlike DC simple as dat

  • Who else thinks that a live action Batman Beyond movie needs to be made and directed by Bruce Timm thumbs

  • @mojoman10k Heck He should direct every comic-book movie for only he and Paul Dini can get the job done right.

  • they should totally make a batman beyond movie

  • nolan said he would direct batman 4

  • @Devman60006

No he didn't, look it up.

  • im happy they'r rebootin it, not because i dont like the trilogy but because theyr obviously rebootin it so they can make justice league, the batman dark night series isnt really related to the justice league, and if its not related it really wont make sense for them to make a JL movie, so in the reboot they are most likely gunna get him and superman to meet or somethin like that. honestly im a big D.C fan NOT MARVEL and honestly marvel is kickin DC's but now and you know it, so this will help !

  • are you really suprised that they want to reboot batman? they've only done it like 10 times & thats why batman movies usually suck ass

  • wasnt batman begins a reboot to batman

  • since chris nolan's batman trilogy has his story ending, makes since to create a new take on the character to me. tho i do think its way too soon to already reboot it.

  • Do NOT. REBOOT. BATMAN. Seriously Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy is just perfect. A work of art. To "reinvent it" sounds to me like Hollywood trying squeeze any money left on the franchise.

  • @doane1981

Silly you, thinking about originality and preserving good storys.

We live in corporate America, where we violate every possible moneyfount till it bleeds and crys.

  • what are they going to do bring back The Penguin, wait no, Arnold back as Mr Freeze.

But seriously why in the fuck would they re invent batman, I guaruntee they cant do any better than Nolan and company

  • Peter Jackson is sorta directing a reboot of LOTR, lol. He's doing the prequel book, the Hobbit. YAY!

  • Don't want a JLA movie.

BATMAN BEYOND!!!! It doesn't have to be a direct continuation of Nolan's Batman series. It can be a sort of reboot/spinoff/sequel! IT COULD WORK!

  • personally, i'd really enjoy seeing a Batman Beyond film in live-action, but since he was solely created for the DCAU... i'm not expecting it. if they do decide to try Justice League again, maybe they should try something smaller to start, like World's Finest or Teen Titans. but i do agree that the Nolanverse Batman would have to go if any of those projects went forward; not because there's anything especially wrong with him (VOICE!!), but because his story doesn't fit into the JLA continuity.

  • i wonder if it will b 4 kids or 4 teens-adults.

  • GET OFF MY LAWN.

  • Funny enough the Batman Reboot won't even tie in to the new JLA movie...

  • wow, that's like rebooting spiderman! oh wait.

  • @Explod1ngNinja no..different story bro

  • God tell me there gonna make a Batman Beyond sequal, and with Clint Eastwood as Bruce.

  • I vote for Batman Beyond sequal or redirection.

  • if you're gonna reboot something don't make it the same as begins cause lord knows how many times we've seen the origins of batman. don't do joker, or any of the villains that have been done before. get hush and black mask out their, they both have a bone to pick with both bruce wayne AND batman, making it a batman centered story. the dark knight made the main titled character feel like a background character and gordon the main. thats not good.

  • I love what nolan has done with the batman mythology but i hate the fact that he took him out of the dc universe

  • I think that they might just make another Batman movie that connects the it to the Justice League and that movie won't be as dark or serious as the Nolan movie, but either way, its a dumb idea and its too late to do this.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Nolan's Batman movies, but I can imagine one other director who can pull off Batman: Darren Aronofsky. So a reboot wouldn't be a disaster if that were to happen.

  • Agreed that Nolan's Batman is just epic but they need to reinvent him because the realistic world Nolan has created will never work in the JL movie where there will be a flying dude, a green magic man etc. Also, the JL movie is scheduled for 2015 so that gives time for the new Superman to get involved in it all. BUT I hope to God that they wait until late 2014 or something to release the Batman reboot, so people can start to get over the EPIC DKR. Also, a cripple Batman after DKR won't do much.

  • A batman reboot is ridiculous, but they do need to reinvent the character for the jla movie. I mean can you really see nolan's batman in charge of the entire justice league?

Just compare nolan's batman with batman from the justice league show and you'll get what I'm saying.

  • They should do a Chris Nolan version of Batman Beyond.

  • I never got how Batman and Superman could work together. Batman would be like "I've gotta get across town before the bomb goes off and kills a hundred people" and Superman would go away for a few seconds and then come back and say "Done". I just don't get it.

  • well im excited to see what they will come up with next because Nolan wasnt going to doing anything science fiction like putting killer croc in the next film or mister freeze

  • I think the batman reboot is necessary but it must come out like in 30 years thats how it is going to be good.

  • Yo I agree with you 100% please you should start a blog or something better to stop the reboot. Dude I want to the same but I ain't got that pull

  • I think in order to do the Justice League Movie you would have to make a Batman/ Superman movie and then they can probably make a movie of the "Secret Orgins" episode of the Justice League Animaged Series

  • @DarthMex1991 That could work.

  • If Warner Brothers Really Wants to make money, they would make a movie called "Harry Potter and The God Damn Batman" i don't think there is a single person on earth who doesn't like Harry Potter and Batman.

  • @YellowBastard33 how about you-know-who?
