they need to add like tying handbrakes on the cars so you dont have to leave them on level tracks and you can have a more realistic operation. I think it would be neat that all you would have to do is right click on the consist and have a tie hand brakes button and you can select how many handbrakes to apply and then a button below it that says kick off hand brakes

@5IrFaN5 This guy must be running it on low settings, I have Trainz 2010 EE and I crank it up and it looks way better than this. But yes, Graphically RW is a bit better. In other aspects like content, support, community, and a much better editor, Trainz wins. I see RW more as a Train Driving Sim and Trainz more as a Railroad Sim. But both titles have both aspects. I recommend RW to those who just want to drive trains, and Trainz to those who want to sim the full experience. Both are good though.

@5IrFaN5 That's quite alright, because the graphics aren't as important as other aspects, especially if you're a rail enthusiast. I can't do all the stuff I want to do in RW, and that's what's important to me. But, Like I said, If you just want to drive trains and admire the pretty scenery, then RW is your sim. BTW I doubt RW would run at anything above slide show speeds on a Pentium 3, if at all, but whatever. Exaggeration is an effective tool to make one's argument appear stronger I guess.

The graphics on the trains themselves look okay to a very limited degree,, but the building and other texture's/graphics are down right rubbish,, they call this a modern game?? game's like BF Badcompany 2 have better Graphics and Less requirements then this...

This game recommend a Nvidia 8600 series graphics card which is old as fuck. Bad Company 2 recommends a GTX 260 which is way newer then the 8000 series graphic cards.

You're the one talking out of your ass. Mate you have no idea what you're talking about. The reason why train sims and flight sims have higher sys reqs, it's not so much to do with the graphics cards but the processors and memory. The reason for this is they are calculating more user and AI simulation changes than your FSP games. Take a look at FSX sim with FTX terrain. You need overclock PC at 4.2GHZ with 12GB Ram and min 1GB Video card C to get good frame rates.

@jasonr71 FTX Terrain take nowhere near those system specs to get a good framerate. And there is basicly no simulation game sold currently that is CPU heavy if you got a decently up to date computer. I mean, the minimum to run for example FTX Australia pack is

RAM: 512MB (2GB recommended)

You're a dickhead. Check this link out from my buddies at Orbx smartass. Search for Natural Beauty: FTX Pacific Northwest Preview clip . You will see comments from users on what specs are needed to get the best framerates and we're not just talking about high frame rates , we are talking about mid 30-40's using 10,000rpm HD, higher FPS if you are using SSD's and I7 overclocked to 4.2ghz.

What IT experience do you have?, do you know how the code is written for a game like FSX ?

@jasonr71 If you can open your eyes and read your supposed "friend" is saying you need a GTX 285 which is a pretty shitty card nowadays compared to others, yea he also says you need a 480 but no way in fucking hell you need that. the i7 he don't say what type of i7 just the quad core one, which is pretty old and just about as good as any quad core out there. The harddrives does not affect FPS at all to your informations, if it does its like 2-5 fps if even that. 6GB of RAM, standard today.

You will nto need a i7 clocked at 4.2Ghz at all, SSD's and 10000rpm harddrives will not make any difference to FPS, just loading times. The 6GB of RAM you will not max out at any point basicly. And if it takes what you are saying, the game code is shitty as fuck. The game is old as hell now.

When the original game was released the graphics were acceptable. But it seems that Auran has not kept up with them and they are no longer really acceptable in 2010 (almost 2011 already), they really need a huge boost in resolution to make them more detailed. Still, overall one of the best Train Sims out there, in my opinion better than the Railworks game and about $850 less to buy the entire game compared to Railworks entire game.
