I love "Hey Jude" and I remember my surprize when I learned in my teens that it had been written for and dedicated to Julian. I've always thought Paul McCartney showed great compassion for a sad little boy who's mom and dad had broken up. I've also thought it rather poignant that John sang along with Paul. Does anyone know or have they read anything on the late Lennon's thoughts on his son's song? Thanks! :)

He also bought a letter to give to Julian that John wrote Cynthia about how much he loved Julian. She had to sell it because Yoko and John were greedy beyond belief and only had $100,000 (pounds) from age of 7 until grown and then when Sean was born had to split it with him on top of all John and Yoko still earned. I despise Yoko Ono. Glad Julian hasn't held it against Sean though.

Remember that Julian had Cynthia for a mother & John had Julia. John was rejected by his mother & father, but Julian has always had a good mother as Cynthia behind him giving him good morals, reading about Julia, she didn't appear to have any good morals. John always had that rejection to deal with.

Julia didnt really reject John- his birth father left but Julia took John&lived with her new husband in a small home- John's Aunt Mimi was the one who took John away from his mother- she thought the small living was not that right place to bring up a child.

Julia was in&out of Johns life after that- but he always adored her.

but you are right John had to deal with a lot of rejection his whole life. I do think Yoko kepts Julian&John away 4 sometime, when John was with May he SAW Julian more.

I took a diferent path all my life. When I was a little girl I saw a Disney special with Julian and just fell in love with him... I didn't know who his pather was... Til my dad showed me... After growing up I realised that Is not a advantage being the son of someone like John. People never gave the attention Julian deserved as a great artist, because of his last name... Pete was the drummer in the German and Cavern days, George Martin wanted a session drummer for the first album and so on. For several reasons they went with Ringo.
