  • great song and they still rock now!! check these out RSI BE HAPPY its in the same spirit as this and is funny as too!!!

  • fuck that guy looks like devon

  • "Two little boys had two little toys, each had a wooden 'ORSE!!!!" And: "Up goes a shout - OY!!!" Unforgettable.

  • Great hommage to Rolf (even if it was a p*ss take), but their actual song "Rolf" was better. In the same league as "Two Pints" and "I've got lots of famous people".

  • hahaha i never thought i would find this! quality with a capital Q!

  • This was real "alt-ern-ativ-ism" and we had lots back then. Splodgenessabounds, Spizz (whatever)!!!! Toy Dolls, The Pogues, ...Cliff Richards!!!! But nowadays, all ya get is awe that Boom, boom, hip hop,x factor, ...cannae play a note, but make millions oot of the young anes!!!...oh and dont forget Cliff Richards!!!

  • Rolf Harris for punk and skinhead kiddiewinks!! Love it! :D

  • It's meant to be out of sync, they're taking the piss out of miming on TOTPs.

Hence 'There's something up with these boys, their movements appear uncoordinated to me.......'

  • omg ollie69 , the great Roger Rodent , spoke to him loads at gigs , and around the town in north-heath...sad time...but good memorys live on

  • reminds me of when i was young & could bounce around like that at a gig

  • war came too fast not at last. get real you twat.

  • Punk rock doesn't stop this being one of the worst songs ever written.

    What are Splodgenessabounds doing now?

  • @edmund184 I think Max Splodge still does "solo" stuff

  • That's my late father on bass what a legacy to show my children who never got to meet him.Live on dad, forever in cyber space.

  • @olllie69 your kids will love this, indeed it is a great thing for your kids to be able to see their grandad in action and in such a cool group, RIP

  • @olllie69 your dad rocks

  • Bloody Hell. That is just terrible. They've missed the whole point of the lyrics - they might have been singing any old crap. This is a tender song about two friends who find themselves on opposite sides during the American Civil War, but find their friendship overcomes their differences.

This singer just shouted the lyrics with no thought at all of what the words mean.

  • fuck you it's brothers in arms in gallipolli ww1 it was the true strength of anzacs!!!!

  • @cliffray24

Can't be Gallipolli, mate - the song was written in 1902, Gallipolli didn't happen until 1915.

  • Marvelous stuff ! I remember that other song they used to do with the - ""Rolf,Rolf Doo-be-doo Rolf " backing vocals.

  • The chick is 65 now and has no teeth..she is my grandma.....sorry guys.

  • Genuine cockerney punk rockers...nice to see...my arse.

  • Pause at 2:31 ha ha

  • Went to see them at tramshed woolwich...

Everyone wanted to fuck baby greensleeves...Especialy me!!

  • What would Simon Cowell say????

  • Very poor

  • ROLF!

  • splodgenessabands & toy dolls are some of the best band from back in the 80s god they were unreal

  • ROFL Wow - Now this is what I call Musical Genius !!!!!

  • Just brilliant :) they were the days hahaha

  • Steve Wright-Kunt.

  • it not supposed to be good lip sync DUH :L

  • Remember seeing Splodge at the CPH in Crystal Palace back in 1981.

  • Love it!

  • sory but u can beat abit of rolf harris 4 this song

  • I think their best track was called, He was saying goodbye to his horse, which I think was on the B side of this when originally issued. Anyone got and want to post it. Cheers

  • The best music

  • Terrific! Did anyone notice how the VU meters don't move - just stay at max.

  • Takes me back more than half a life time. Cheers for the posting, Nostalgia Eh? not as good as it used to be. :o)

  • When this first came out it had me on the floor and it's still funny today. When I think about it now, a song like Two Little Boys was almost asking to be demolished by the punks and nobody apart from the Pistols could have done it better. Is Max Splodge still around?

  • Saw them last night at Hedge End Social club supporting bad Manners, brilliant Gig !!

  • It's bad that a band this good still supports other bands 30 years later, when they should be the praised and supported by others!

  • my dad was in this band 4 a while (not this vid tho) Noel Hendrick is his name :D lol

  • Brilliant, fckn Brilliant, this was my favourite song before leaving the U.K.

I guess Rolf Harris took his own revenge by covering Stairway to Heaven.........

  • Rocking against gingers to this day!!

  • my friends dad is the sax player!!!

  • I bought this on vinyl a few years back , the lyrics were a bit more... um... explicit .

  • never heard of thm orthis song till nw nd its fukin brilliant im only 15 but dam should be more punk bands likke this out now a days

  • jeez u talk alot

  • Purchased their cassette album in 1981. It was brilliant. Was stereo. Malcolm's Mum, What's that funny Smell, just to name but two or three. I wish I hadn't sold it to a second hand shop in 1986, along with many other cassettes and records, cos I was running low on funds. I would pay a King's ransome to re-acquire that Splodgeness tape. Well, it would have to be the actual one I owned. And, by King, I mean Paul King, singer out of King, who is now probably worth only 30 pence a year. Ahem. Oops.

  • anyone got 2 pints from totp?

  • thanks for this

  • The 'Carry On' element of punk rock. Not a criticism: Splodge were/are brilliant. Anyone got a video for the epic 'Morning Milky'?

  • Me and my mate, the last punx in Wales circa 1980, 13yrs old and dull as fuck went to the Splodge gig at the Woolwich Tramshed January 23rd and stayed at Max's flat for two days. The nite after the gig Captain Sensible picked us up and took us to the Mousehole studios where Podgy Mcmillan was recording.Imagine it,two 13yr olds drinking a party can of Harp and a bottle of vodka in the back of the Captains Cadillac for an all nite session in the studio. Fucking great.Viva la Splodgenessabounds

  • Went to see bad manners last night in Norwich. These did a guest appearance and it was F**king brilliant. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  • Oh how good is this!!!!

  • What would Rolf Harris think about this now? Actually the video is not out of sync, it's just that Max and gang wee such bad mimers!!

  • I'm guessing Rolf would find it funny. He has a great sense of humor and see's the funny side of most things.

  • Rushed out and bought it when i saw them on TOTP in 1980. First time i have seen it since, want to rush out and buy it again!!!!! Brilliant stuff.

  • Great! Just luve it! Jalle

  • Fab! Ohh Max is so handsome :p

  • Great! Just luve it! Jalle
