@benitepapa - unfortunately, you do not know your facts, and are relying on a propaganda piece that has been clearly debunked and is riddled with misinformation. There have been more than 1.1 million wells that have used a production enhancement procedure called hydraulic fracturing in the last 60 years, and there has never been a single case linking hydraulic fracturing to ground water contamination. You should research the facts instead of relying on propaganda. Gasland is a joke!
@OOGEEP1 well there you have it people... OOGEEP1 wont even admit that fraking has caused 1 single case of contaminated water... not a single case...... well... if you cant even admit one single OBVIOUS case from gasland then there must be hundreds if not thousands of wells that have CONTAMINATED THE GROUND WATER. We are not getting the straight facts from these oil giants! its as simple as that!!
@benitepapa There have been cases of problems during well construction, but none have been linked to hyrdaulic fracturing. You obviously do not understand oil and gas drilling. No oil giant here and offended at the reference. Just small independent producers and hundreds of thousands of landowners. I'm amazed to see that the very energy source you are condemning, you are using to energize your computer to send out more uneducated propaganda. Do as I say, not as I do. Good grief.
@benitepapa Also, before you and others continue to attack those of us that work 365 days a year to provide you energy, perhaps you should learn to at least spell the technology you are attacking. There is no such thing as "hydrofracking," "frack," or "fracking" ---- clear signs of propaganda!!
@OOGEEP1 WOW.... there you go again, changing the subject and spinning the truth.... It will be a non-stop argument with these gas giants... This guy is FROM THE INDUSTRY! and hes claiming that there is no such term as frac'ing!! as though hydraulic fracturing doesn't exist!! YEA RIGHT!!! just read a wiki on hydraulic frac'ing and you will see.
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT YOU COULDN'T EVEN GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER AND INSTEAD PULL ME UP ON SPELLING!!!!!
@benitepapa This "guy" is a proud mother, aunt, active member and volunteer in my community and state. I volunteer my time in numerous education, safety, training, scholarship, etc. We are not "gas giants" or "big oil." For more than 25 years, I'm proud of the industry I worked in and serve, and misformation or propaganda like yours should be corrected and stopped. I never stated that hydraulic fracturing does not exist. I'm proud of our ability to safely produce domestic energy supplies.

fracking for gas lets gas and drilling chemicals leech into your drinking water. watch the documentary GASLAND, and make up your own mind.
