Nothing will work until Parliament gets its heads and hearts in the right place, which is dedication to the child's right to both parents. The way you get that is by establishing equal parenting for both parents. Many Canadians have a very clear understanding that the family courts are a disaster for children, forcing parents to become bitter enemies. If we have a strong presumption of equal parenting, we can take terror out of the divorce process, and show real concern for children.
