I was also shocked and saddened by Brother Dave's homegoing. I feel as though I have lost my father. He has been a major influence in my Christian walk for over 35 years. While I have sadly watched many Christian leaders fall along the way, David Wilkerson remained a straight arrow in his walk with the Lord. He is one of the few whose word I always trusted. God Bless and comfort his family.
@francie1953 Yes; I still can't believe he's not with us now. I have read his messages and books since I was a teen in the 70's. I read his blog daily on my PC and my mobile phone. I could always count on a good word, an inspiring word of hope, from David Wilkerson. He is greatly missed!

I'm not a Christian (not mainstream, in any case), but here was a man I can respect, a true 'Man of God'. I wish I had of met him.

Bro. Dave was a weeping prophet and his release from this life
is a sign. Our loving Savior said: "It is enough".
ALL of my Pastor friends I've known 40 years, some younger
than me, have gone home to heaven in the past 5 years and I
am left. The American church is ASLEEP. It is running after
idols such as "The Perfect Marriage", or "Raising Perfect Kids"
instead of SEEKING AFTER THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.
Preaching like that of Bro. Dave isn't accepted in the churches,
and now he's gone.

I am shocked and saddened by Brother Wilkerson's passing. :( His ministry has had a major impact on my life and walk with the Lord.
