  • not the best and the video quality doesn't help matters.

  • Mahlerianvidz is Just stupid this is one of the worst intrepetation's of mahler's 1e symphonie..

  • One of the most satisfying pieces I ever played in my time as a horn player, and definitely one of the most trying physically. Great job, and this will always be one of my all-time favorite pieces.

  • I think that the Childrens Orchestra of Venezuela does a decent job, "Orquesta Infantil de Venezuela" with Simon Rattle conducting. Almost 400 junior high school kids playing Titan. type "rattle infantil"

  • Any women in this orchestra?

    Did I hear a brass player crack a note at 8:20 ?

That's pretty damn fast at the end.

  • @tl1358 Yeaa you did you a crackk, but it's a highh note, C sharp on a Bb trumpett! ;o pretty difficult to get at the end of this movement xD

    I haven't seen any women either =/

  • @SmartieRockz That's funny. I play the clarinet. I have no problem hitting high c sharps! Just kidding. If this is the Vienna Philharmonic they have a poor history in employing women.

  • @tl1358 I know right =/ Clarinets can go high with ease though ;) haha :L With brass you have to work incrediblyy hard lolll

  • Sinopoli is no so fast

in score you can see :

    ''draengend bis zum schluss'

    excellent conduction

  • At least now I understand what did inspire Dudamel in his schizophrenic gear changes in this very same extract. Awful imho...

  • @Fafner1976 Well Mahler is pretty schizophrenic...

  • The tempi are very erratic and not in keeping with Mahler's score. Abbado seems to get it right. Check out his youtube entry for this finale.

  • the best interpretation

  • umm...

I feel good as a whole, but the tempo from 7:50 to 8:30 is too fast... other is good!

  • i must look at a score of this - did Mahler intend quite so many changes of tempo as Sinopoli gives here in the final 3 minutes?

  • its cosmic".. ._.

  • no wonder, he died in the trenches.

  • WIENER PHILHARMONIKER!!! hetzel, janezic, etc.....

  • it's the philharmonia orchestra!

  • Totally disagree... Sinopoli is one of my favourite Mahler conductors.

  • The orchestra is fabulous, but Sinopoli goes too fast. I don't think he was a good Mahlerian...

  • Great :) I'm playing it with the youth orchester of cologne :)

  • great,i love Vienna Philharmoniker best!

  • i love it,,,he takes his time,,,this guy slows down the rits to a stupefying pace, they way it's supposed to be............powerful ending....

  • vienna horns section rulezzz!!!

  • Dies sind die Wiener Philharmoniker, erkennt man z.B. am ersten Geiger, der bereits unter Karajan oft spielte.

  • 8:19- trumpets mess up... uh oh.

  • Sinopoli has his eyes closed the whole time. He already has the idea of the sounds he wants in his head. A true Mahlerian!

  • no female, so its vienna

  • this is vienna, notice the vienna horns

  • look at the trumpets .. is it Vienna????

  • Triumphant is correct! It's wonderful to listen to...and a bear to play. I was exhausted when we were done.

  • Magnificant the final of Mahler's Symphonie "Titan".

  • Great to see some Sinopoli/Mahler, but very frustrating not to know which orchestra is playing.

  • Wonderful Sinopoli-Mahler...but..I agree with kma...why cut video just in the highest point of last movement? that's one of Mahler's most exciting passages...

  • you suck. you cut the symphony at the point where the greatest chord ever is played.

  • the greatest

  • Awesome! my last name is mahler! dont think im related though :/

  • oh yeah!!! the full movement. Great finale!!!! I love Mahler!!!

  • What a triumphant finale that will put Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture to shame !

Hope Sinpoloi did not have a heart attack when it was drawn to a close.

Thanks for uploading. Wish Mahler's 10 symphonies will be available for sharing among all his fans!

  • a triumphant finale taken directly from the hallelujah chorus of Handel's Messiah

  • 1. trumpet Prof. Hans Gansch. one of the best players in the world!! his brother is thomas gansch 1. trumpet mnozil brass
