@LiquidSolidusSnake My understanding is there were several reasons why Wheatus told Sony to go to hell. Lip Syncing was just one thing Brendan didn't want to do. Sony also did a really shitty job of promoting Wheatus's 2nd record "Hand Over Your Loved Ones," which is a major reason they fell out of the lime light after the 1st record. It took a year long legal battle to get their songs out of Sony's hands, but they repaid them with Suck Fony, a re-release of the 2nd record on their own label.

I respect his decision. They must have more freedom being on their own label; the 3rd albums pretty original. Hopefully, increased downloads will spell a death to major record labels (though I'm sure they're crafty enough to adapt to survive) and we will someday see Wheatus restored to glory.
