They got on stage and sang for the sake of the song. Adele isn't just singing words and notes, she's making music. Listening to Adele sing this song gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. If you aren't passionate about your music, if you can't let the music flow through you, if you sing trying to sound good, you won't do the song justice. Adele is the most overrated artist we've had in a very long time. She isnt original in the least. I hear women singing like her all the time but they just didnt get the recognition she did because her image is actually what is helping people pay attention to her cause even with a pretty face, shes the anti hottie/thin sexpot. She's not on the same level as Whitney, Mariah or Celine. Her voice is distinct but her vocal range is nothing special.
