@SerfatyWoman3 Hi Jessica! I am SUCH a huge fan of your work on ANTM. Currently My Friend Makenzie And I Are Creating A Webshow About A Kid who Moves To Hollywood and meets a bunch of celebrities, you being one of them. It's gonna be hilarious when you come to visit Raina and her fictional family in the series. I hope Ya Watch It When It Comes Out
thank you was realy nice. i did only background a lot in europe when i lived there for 2 years. it was amazing experience even had a few lines. :) i wish i lived in new york or los angeles so i can go to auditions. i live in toronto and to do background there are a few good( from what i ve heard agencies) but the ask for registration fees. :( but you never know if they will give you any job at the end of it.:(
OK!! That was amazing!! BUT...JosephAnne...you are giving casting directors WAY too much credit for acting that good while reading lines for us!!! hahaha!
Thanks for the visit. Glad you liked it. Go see my other shorts - Search JosephAnneCaro. I'm just finishing my post grad work and will be shooting a feature - I hope - this spring. "Chet and Benny Make a Movie." I hope you watch for it.
By the way, do you know a good casting director in L.A.?
Someone once said that a good actor...Preacher... can so graphically portrait a scene that you can smell the salt in the Ocean and see the lost coin. And what makes a good actor and sets him or her apart from a bad one is the preparation.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was inspired to write it because I was forced to work with an actor who wasn't very good. He kept over doing everything. I thought a short like this might help other actors to realize that a performance can be very subtle. My advice, audition as often as you can - school, community theater - act in a many shows as you can - even small parts. The more experience, the better you get. And - take classes with a teacher that a lot of people recommend. Best - Joseph
I am a 15 year old trying to take on acting one step at a time. This is a video that is really inspiring to me. The performance was excellent. The twist sort of threw me off until I rewatched it. Do you have any tips for me? You guys really know what you are doing.
I really liked the script, especially the surprise twist ending!!...it's a role I'm usually not cast in (very serious, intense)...and shot mostly in close-ups, so it was a great learning experience for me too.
this is amazing work of art u all did there lights camera and dont get me started on the acting great job keep it up
