donder09 the beaches of Manihiki are on the inside of the lagoon ...what you are refering to is the outer coral reef of the island which provides protection from the pounding surf...had you'd visited Manihiki prior to Nov 1 1997 you wonder have encountered a different Manihiki...unfortunately Cyclone Martin changed the face of Manihiki forever. Hope you had good time though, just next time bring a longer ruler lol!

Can I ask how you know that our beaches are 4 inches and 1 inch wide in the best parts? I can only guess that perhaps you managed to pull out your 1 inch willy to measure it huh! All our islands in the CI are unique in beauty. Rugged or green,it is presented as the good lord created it. Don't rubbish our islands, we are very blessed to have come from these places. KAPONGA

Right on man, looks pretty good to me on Google Earth. You can even see some cool underwater ruins that go for the whole length of the east side of the island. Any idea what they are from?
The Crabs were cool though. Their my fave crustacean. The first to recycle to make their home. Good work Crabs. :-)
