  • Very nice sound to both the tune itself, and the equipment you are using.

The D'Addario EJ37 strings that you are using are a bit lighter than the set that I use, but I tried them out recently, and I may be using them in the future.

  • @dadgadjohn Thanks for the kind words. The EJ37 string set was put together by D'Addario for Richard Gilewitz. He designed them to be tuned down a whole step or more and to keep the tension at a good sounding level. I'm sure they will give you a good sounding guitar.

  • Reminds me of Leo Kottke ;) nice

  • @Foodie88 Thanks. I appreciate it!

  • @GeoGuitarPlayer Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it!

  • Mark,

Mark, I hadn't been to your site in a while and just came across this video. Great job on the slide. You have a nice, smooth technique which gives a very clean sound. The fingerstyle really brought out another dimension of the guitar. You have a knack for finding some beautiful guitars with great sound. Maybe it's the guitarist??

  • @timewarp310 Thank you very much. That is a really great compliment! Much appreciated.

  • @Nealpaisley Thanks Neal. Coming from a good slide player like yourself, that means a lot to me.

  • First to view, YES! I've only messed around with versions of open D tuning. You make me want to learn more!
