  • The haters can say whatever they want. Hate cannot take away beauty or talent or the gifts we give each other. Sinead has given so much to the world- things that the haters will never know in their lifetimes. It's them that I feel sorry for. Wishing you love and peace, Sinead. And thank you!

  • Interesting interview and very educational. Thanks.

  • STUTTERING PRICK WITH THE WHITE HAIR

  • Do you have a problem with people who have mental illness. Cause I'm fucking Irish and I'm fucking bipolar.

  • @WiccaLyn2012 Don't let the haters get to you. They feed off the negativity, like psychic vampires! Laugh it off, and be well. Let them smoulder in their anger and don't be dragged down by them, yes? :-)

  • She aint got Bipolar she,s just fuckin Irish ha ha ha

  • she rocks!

  • Dude, grow your hair.

  • I believe she was angry and touched on a subject which was ignored by many and unknown to the general public, especially in Ireland where I'm from. Priests were always trusted and respected so highly and you would never think of doubthing them. Sinead started the ball rolling on the subject of child abuse within the catholic church regarding priests and she is a hero for doing that.

  • @bancombe1 Totally agree! She went through hell but look what she turned that into - absolute genius and amazing creativity. No one will ever compare to her!! I love the shit out of her and her music is in my soul.

  • @bancombe1 Amen to that! I'm ahamed to say that a lot of us were not aware of all the abuses that were going on and she took on so much public hate for speaking out. She should have been commended instead. I've always loved her singing but now I respect her for coming through the life she had.

  • I love Sinead and support her always, not just because I suffer from bipolar but the reason is being Sinead is straight forward, helping and honest. Sinead recieved a lot of flak when she ripped the picture of Pope John Paul II apart on tv.

  • In my eyes, she is an image of beauty and what a woman should be.

    Love you Sinead. xx

  • People will always remember her for her controversies, not her music, and I often wonder if she now regrets it? I think I would, no matter how noble my causes. I would of gone about it a little differently, like Bob Geldof or something.

  • Well done Sinead, what a brave interview xxx

  • She's candid, brave and just an incredible person. I want to be her new best friend or girlfriend.

  • Sinead i love you so simple

  • Never so much cared for Sinead, was trying to find a piss-take of her on a tv spot ripping up pictures.

But after watching this interview, new found respect.

she looks bizzare with the hair n tat's in the ryan tubridy interview.

  • Would LOve For Her To Do A Beautiful Song About How Our World Is In Trouble,,,,,,,

  • I Respect Her As Well, and Can Totally Relate,,,,,,I've Oft' Told People That The World Is Bi-Polar,,,,,,,It's Really OK,,,,,,,LOve You S.

  • I have so much respect for Sinead's courage and honesty in bringing this out about her life with bipolarism. She is so incredibly talented and this illness is so difficult to live with for most people. I applaud her and her bravery in being so honest. I have always been and will always be a fan of hers. Way to go, Sinead!!! You'll always have my respect and admiration.

  • I have bipolar as well...she is my inspiration and on low days I turn to her music. She's our hero, our voice. The press and those that make fun and slam her can all go to hell...I bet if they wrote a story about themselves it would be much much worse. Go Sinead...You inspire us all

  • she has beautifull eyes!

  • i love her!

  • I adore her! I shaved my head and a friend said I looked like her! <3

  • @MsSchizophrenic13 post it on your youtube channel (backround) if you have the same eyes like here than i will marry you :)

  • @FranziskaLiebtBill I'm sure I don't have the same eyes as her but even if I did what a sweet offer -giggles- I'm in a relationship already xD

  • @MsSchizophrenic13 oh dang you have a boyfriend :( and i have a girlfriend the world is not fair :D but i hope i can see that pic on your profil the days with you all the best !

  • @vanessadoll31 kid you understand it in some years :)

  • What;s so funny about peace, love, understanding, and,...let's throw in JUSTICE!

  • @vanessadoll31 maybe something for you

  • What i admire about Sinead is how she stands for what she believes in regardless of the risks not only of her career but her own life. Her ripping the POPE'S picture on live tv cost her more than she was going to gain & still years later after CHILD ABUSE IN CHURCH made headlines on news papers was the moment that everyone understood what was her purpose on ripping that picture. Genius & very brave of her!!!

  • Her strength, her love, her honesty, her being her and being straight about what she feels.....is not a crime against humanity. . . so for every person who has a negative stance on sinead shows your ignorance....she is a human being, a woman who has made a life for herself and found her own pathway in life difficult as it may have been. However, it does not give all and sundry the right to dehumanise her or incorrectly call her names because she speaks whole heartedly and openly and honestly.

  • @wd40plus

the question is,do any hear u?

  • @Goethewrote u sound like a sad angry person.

  • The people who hate her can all go to hell. She's one of the few artists I actually respect.

  • @danielmountain Her music is actually 'art' and what she did by making N.C.T.Y. her own is in actual fact a rare art.

  • @danielmountain Sinead is a hero, one of the few people left on this earth that has the guts to stand up for what is right.

  • @danielmountain She has a unique and lovely voice and it's not fair to put such pressure on our artists. She was young when she got famous and she didn't have the support she should have had.

  • Thanks Sinead for your sincere words, looking forward your concert in Southbank in Marc. All the best in the new year :)

  • Sinead hasn't got Bipolar if she never had any form of mania. And Bipolar is pretty well now considered to be genetic. My experience of bipolar tells me I've always had it.

  • Like i toked my anger out on other famous people videos with bad commends. People that hate or even judge famous people are jealous of famous people. I mean 1st lady gaga. 2nd Jessie J and now Sinead WTF. I'm 24 and wanted to take my own life, I'm depressed and i let people making me feel bad and ugly. I'm an music freak and dievi is right lesbians would like to date sinead coz i sure want to lol. I had a crash on sinead since i 1st saw her.

  • it sounds more like generalized anxiety disorder

  • how is this bipolar if you dont have ups and downs? just downs?

  • I just lost a very dear friend who was bi-polar to suicide

  • she's brillant!!

  • Bipolar IS hard to diagnose, they are finding out more and more that the disease expresses itself very differently in regards to being more depressed, and not showing much of the 'high'. She's had 3 children and has been a mom since she's 20 as she says. She's 46 now and still a lyrical and vocal genius. Love you Sinead!!

  • She's always been bloody AMAZING. People are haters, and push their issues on other people. She's always been honest, upfront, and her own person. She looks like an angel, sings like an angel, and she's still loved 'round the world.

  • Got bipolar 1 myself...lots and lots of us. Robert Downey Jr., etc, 23 is a magical year for starting bipolar. That's when there's a big "crumbling" in the brain. It sounded like soda crackers being crushed.

  • I just love Sinead O'Connor.

  • This is one of the most gifted singers in the world. i am grateful to hear her story..I have only known bits and pieces through the years. This was prior to her becoming an ordained minister.

I love how she discusses putting Gods words to music etc. she is by far one of Gods voices. Listen to her version of "Silent Night"

  • she looks like an old lesbian women...but a hot one offcorse...:P

  • @dievi I'm sure many women wish she was a Lesbian. Unfortunately for those women, she likes blokes. She's not old, she's fucking gorgeous.

  • I m bipolar II as Sinead, we are confused, full of troubles, but in the best way often honest, intectually meaning, but most of all we need hope and faith by the others. Great sinead i always love you

  • @peoniesfleur good for you, you get a gold star :P

  • What a likeable person.

  • What a real, honest woman. Love her.

  • She brilliant. One of the most haunting and beautiful voices in music.

  • I wish I could be her friend. And kick those wedding blues. I'd marry her in a heartbeat and write a poem for her every day. Thank you for what you have done. I will be on my merry way now.

  • @BongoJohn341 aw...I like you :P

  • she's beautiful

  • im so happy shes in a better place now.after all shes been through.

  • @peoniesfleur I wonder why you and I are in the media too...

  • Comment removed

  • May be your "not nice upbringing" instead of BP gave you some eating desorder isues.

ever wondered why you need to control that much what comes in and out of your body?

is that being positive? ... I guess positive does not necesarily means helthy.

Excuse my orthograrhy. I'm from Argentina.

  • Love how honest she is ! She is an amazing woman !!! With a god given talent !! Love her

  • What a beautiful, brave young woman.

  • @peoniesfleur kids raised by an abusive parent are basically scarred for life, I don t think its fair to expect them to see the good in their "abuser", It s the mentality of blaming the victim and trying to punish the poor kid again for her lack of empathy as an adult....the lack of seeing the good in people won t happen if she lives in fear as she says in the interview....and blame "mom" for her lack of empathy...i m guessing sadists lack empathy

  • So there's definitely a tiny little belch from the interviewer around 00:29 right after such a...

    Great!

  • @fairhillnorrie I had one like that, it took me years to recover. Thankfully I never married him. I wish you the strength you will need to get through this, the support you will need to get away from him, and above all, the realization of the hope that this too will pass and better things await. You never know, you might be MUCH happier living single. My best to you & yours, and please, get away from the emo abuse of a BP spouse in denial, and much happiness to you. Rediscover you & Good Luck!!

  • Now I have to buy Theology, too. LOVE Sinead toooo much, her music has gotten me through depression and also worse...her cover of "I am stretched on your grave' is perhaps my all time fave Sinead tune. I am so glad she's doing well and is finding happiness too! :) Thanks for this post.

  • how brave & honest with herself she is!!!!! Trust me, alexithymia & narcissism "on" the same person, can kill you, if you mess up with....Not to mention depression that we all more or less have nowadays.

  • Totally screwed up, no doubt she had a troubled childhood as did many Irish people, she was a very bright kid, now she's on the mental cosh, promoting big pharma like a born again christian. Never got the "high" thing so she was depressed then?

  • She is a very brave person! End of story and enough said.

  • i bought a cassette of "the lion and the cobra" when it came out......loved it and my daughters loved it through the years.....also "i do not want what i haven't got".....i'm bi-polar and can relate to sinead's personal story in a big way....her songs mean so much to me and strongly tie me to my daughters eternally......i am working up two of her songs to sing at an open mike night, hope you don't mind, sinead......

  • Talking about people's most painful memories and past with feigned tenderness, for the purposes of entertaining an audience in a morning show. Both presenters hoping they can get her the person to cry. Or say something sensational.

Never have been able to watch more than a minute or two of interviews like this.

  • @MrBooboo212 "I bet her current issue of looking for a boyfriend is a freaking fake. That's only her brilliant idea how to grape people's attention to follow her because she will release her up-coming album soon by early next year." She doesn't come across as that type of phony, at all.

  • What a refreshing personality who speaks openly from her own pain.

  • Sinead is very talanted person. Of cause Great singer.

  • It's amazing how some people are full of hate over Sinead. I know that she did some things which has upset many people. But I can not hate her. I prefer an artist full of mistakes but with honesty and truth, than a correct artist but hypocritical and negligent.I respect Sinead a lot because I know she is a sick-minded person, and I'm very grateful to her to have said things that shook the world, puting in risk her own career, believing in her principles.

    Thank you, Sinead!

  • @Kaibrigh Yeah most of ppl like commercial products, we like humans!

  • @Kaibrigh Sick minded ? Why because she dared to criticise the evil that has been perpetrated by the Catholic Church. I love her for her outspoken nature. The Church is responsible for so much evil on this earth, it's not God's representative it speaks for Lucifer.

  • @TelecasterLPGTop You don'tunderstand the "sick mind". I referred to the bipolarity that her own assumes. Obvious that I do not consider her rivalry with the Catholic Church a result of a "sick mind", on the contrary, I have always been on the side of Sinéad independent of what she does. She is a warrior, and even though many people do not consider, she is a winner.

  • @Kaibrigh Right on!!

  • @Kaibrigh Ok, I know she ripped up a picture of the pope but how many people can still be bitter about that? Has she done anything else? Becuase if people are still hating her about the pope thing, that's just pathetic. She had very good reasons to do what she did.

  • @Android18uk She did have very good reasons to do what she did. I agree with Kaibrigh. There is a lot of hipocracy and abuse in the Catholic church. Rules that don't go with our present world. It needs to change and grow or continue losing us Catholics that no longer consider ourselves religious or Catholic.

  • @Kaibrigh Hold your horses, you forgive Sinead because she's sick-minded? HFS!

  • @Kaibrigh You've completely missed the point. She coped, she lived, she's made amazing music and she's not a "sick-minded person."

  • Yes, all of us with Bipolar II and who have had suicidal thoughts AND talk about it are just trying to grab attention "prolly." Sheesh...this is an excellent interview, and I am amazed at the idiots who have posted here. And I'm not sorry for calling you idiots - some of what I've read here include the most insensitive and ignorant comments I have ever seen on YouTube. And that's saying plenty.

  • @jnmklo9 whoa now! Yes we really DON'T want anyone to develop it so their Mother or Husband "finally understands it" I do agree Bi P. 2 is tough at times more than 1. It's hard to know if your loved one is just "very happy" or just having a bad day and not an episode - God bless them

  • Sorry I mean does not develop bipolar - it does run in families to, if you get suicidal ideation to the extent Sinead has done then you are psychotic and depressed and that is lethal. It is great that she is honest about it and a late diagnosis is typical

  • Sinead has definitely and without doubt got bipolar 2 which is more depressive and to any of the naysayers I sincerely hope your child or partner or relative develops bipolar because it is a very tough disease.

Lots of people claim to have it but I am an expert and Sinead has it

  • @jnmklo9 I really liked reading your comment. You sound like you know the Psiquiatric point of vew. Not everyone is well informed most of the times and yet... everyone talks... thanks!

  • I'm in two minds about the current tale about wanting to commit suicide. On one hand I'm concerned for her children and on another I think she wants to grab attention (again).

  • I heerd on 1SEP2011 that Sine-Aid Ocoonor is looking for luvv. She's tired of making surrogate use of phallic fruits and vege haha

I would prolly be generally attracted to Sine-Aid , if she would grow her hair out, down to shoulder length. Cannot deal with the look in this clip. A woman's GOTTA look like a woman.

4:50 I also never really got the lows in the typical diagnosis. A series of true Highs would be nice to experience. I'm rooting for ya, girly.

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • @SELFproclaimedVIRGIN So? Perhaps you are a virgin who needs therapy, if you are spamming this all over the Net and YT...who cares if you are a virgin? Be celibate or be active sexually, but stop the UTMI spam, please!!
