  • Alright, but the batman animated series was one of the best cartoons to come from the west.

  • MOORE IS AN IDIOT FOR NOT UNDERSTANDING HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY. SENSIBILITY IS NOT A MAD MAN'S PRIORITY. WHY DID NORMAN BATES DRESS UP AS HIS MOTHER WHEN KILLING HIS VICTIMS???? DO WE REALLY HAVE TO QUESTION THE SENSIBILITY OF THAT DECISION?! LOL! THE MAN IS INSANE! THERE IS NOT QUESTIONING ANYTHING WHEN IT COMES TO INSANITY. BATMAN IS NOT NORMAL. DOES MOORE, THE MORON NOT UNDERSTAND THIS?! MAYBE BECAUSE HE'S ENGLISH AND HAS NO CLUE ABOUT AN 'AMERICAN' CHARACTER!

  • @peteagassi Woudl you shut the fuck up about Moore and Batman being Crazy for fuck sake.

    1. Batman ain't that crazy because he has self control - I.E never going to far or to end a life because of his dumb values.

    2. Moore is one of the most intelligent writers you will find today. If Moore is stupid...then you must be a feeble minded goldfish by comparison.

Moore has state that Batman is a psychopath....but a retarded and goofy one at that.

  • @EndlessLaymon HE IS CRAZY. YOU CLEARLY NEED TO READ MORE COMIC BOOKS. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM AND THE JOKER IS THE FACT THAT BATMAN HAS THE MEMORY OF HIS FATHER REIGNING HIM IN, STOPPING HIM FROM GOING TOO FAR AND CROSSING THE LINE. READ MORE PLEASE. THANKS.

  • BATMAN'S INSANITY IS WHAT SETS HIM APART. HE IS TRULY THE MOST DISTURBED COMIC CHARACTER EVER CREATED. THAT'S WHY OTHER SUPERHEROES ARE VERY SUSPICIOUS OF HIM, BECAUSE HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS NO REASON FOR DRESSING UP, AND THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT. THIS IS A FULL GROWN MAN WHO CHOOSES TO DRESS UP AS A BAT. THERE IS SOMETHING PATHETIC ABOUT IT, BUT ALSO SOMETHING VERY DISTURBING ABOUT IT. THE CHARACTER IS PSYCHOLOGICALLY UNSTABLE. AND VERY DANGEROUS.

  • @peteagassi Wrong. Go read Punisher Max. Frank Castle is more disturbed than Batman [can't kill people, only hurt them] when compared to the genocidal mass murder who tortures and kills people in the most depostic and mean spirited ways like The Punisher does.

You clearly haven't read too many comic books.

I bet you're just another Nolan fanboy that is really just a fan of the movies, not the books. You have no educated in comic books, just excited for the shit looking Dark Knight R

  • @EndlessLaymon NOPE. BATMAN TRUMPS ALL HEROES IN THE CRAZY DEPARTMENT. ANY GUY WHO CHOOSES NOT TO USE A GUN AND DRESS UP AS A BAT IS THE CRAZIEST OF THEM ALL. I MEAN, FORGET THE DRESSING UP AS A BAT ASPECT AND JUST FOCUS ON THE FACT THAT HE IS TAKING ON THE MOST VILE AND DANGEROUS CRIMINALS AND REFUSES TO USE A GUN. THAT IN ITSELF IS THE HEIGHT OF INSANITY.

  • @EndlessLaymon THE FACT THAT BATMAN 'DOESN'T KILL' MAKE HIM THE MOST INSANE. HE WOULD SAVE SO MANY LIVES IF HE JUST KILLED THE JOKER--BUT HE DOESN'T BECAUSE OF HIS INSANE DOGMA. ANY NORMAL PERSON WOULD KILL THE JOKER, BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE THE LOGICAL THING TO DO. WE DO THAT IN SOCIETY TODAY; IT'S CALLED EXECUTION; IT'S WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE DO IN RESPONSE TO DANGEROUS INDIVIDUALS. BATMAN KEEPS THE CRAZIES ALIVE. THAT IS INSANE.

  • your worst than hitler

  • books suck they should be burnt

    comic books rule

  • you are a troll

  • don't fuck with the bat

  • IS ALAN MOORE A FUCKING MORON?! "There aren't really any sensible motivations for dressing as a bat and fighting crime." NO SHIT! THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF BATMAN! HE'S FUCKING INSANE! HE'S NOT NORMAL! IF HE WAS SENSIBLE AND NORMAL, IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY BORING! BATMAN IS A FUCKED UP, PSYCHOLOGICALLY DISTURBED INDIVIDUAL! IS THERE ANY SENSIBLE MOTIVATIONS FOR WHAT PSYCHOPATHS DO; SHOOTING SCHOOLS UP, KILLING BABIES, ETC. BATMAN IS A PSYCHO, BUT A PSYCHO THAT DOES GOOD- OR THINKS HE DOES.

  • @peteagassi Oh come on, you know that everything you've just said is a copout to justify the silliness of Batman. You are acting defensive because you have invested interest in the character. If you had zero interest in Batman you would have no problem agreeing with the points made by Moore.

Many people have witnessed loved ones, parents being killed in front of them but they don't put on a laughable Bat costume and fight crime. Even by comic book "fun" standards Batman is stupid.

  • @EndlessLaymon Moore is a pretentious douche! How can anyone begin to even predict what a certain individual is capable of under extreme trauma? Would a normal man dress in women's clothing? Would a normal man cut off a person's head on a greyhound bus, then continue to lick it for no apparent reason? Would a full grown man dress like a toddler? This has all happened. How can we predict what lengths mad men will go to? WE can't. If some mad man dresses up as a bat, thats his choice.

  • @EndlessLaymon Would it be sensible for a man to dress as a clown and molest little children? No, but it happens in real life. Nothing is sensible when a mad man is making decisions. Batman is a mad man. But a mad man who does good. Moore is an idiot.

  • @peteagassi Moore is not an idiot. He has written Batman - he knows the character and is able to tell you THE TRUTH ABOUT HOW UTTERLY foolish the concept is.

Clearly these comments by Moore and McFarlane have touched a nerve with you.

Nevermind though. people say 'the truth hurts'.

And Moore is not an idiot. If you are as well versed with Alan Moore's writing as I am and have watched and listened to his social commentary as much as I have you would see how he is very intelligent.

  • @peteagassi What's so amusing here though is that you only have ONE argument: "But Batman is insane".

Which actually isn't really true. It certainly wasn't the case when Bob Kane created Batman- he was influenced by a Davinci drawing, Mask of Zoro and The Shadow.

And what is the excuse for all the other hero characters who dress up?

I bet you're just another guy who saw Chris Nolan's movies - fell in love with em, listens to what hardcore fans say and thinks hes a fucking expert.

  • @EndlessLaymon YES, BOB KANE ALWAYS INTENDED THE BATMAN TO BE CRAZY ON THE BORDERLINE OF INSANITY. THE CREATION OF THE BATMAN WAS IN RESPONSE TO SUPERMAN--WHO WAS AN IDEAL GOOD GUY AND STOOD FOR TRUTH JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY. BATMAN WAS A DARK, COMPLICATED, TORTURED HERO. YOU NEED TO READ MORE OF THE FIRST BATMAN ISSUE AND BOB KANE'S EARLY BOOKS. ALSO, ALL THE OTHER HEROES HAVE A REASON FOR DRESSING UP: SUPERMAN WEARS HIS HOME PLANET'S CLOTHING, FOR EXAMPLE. BATMAN HAS NO REASON = INSANE!

  • @peteagassi

    1. Why do you have to type everything in capitals you fucking moron.

    2. Bob Kane intended Batman to be crazy? Prove it! Batman was just a darker hero than Superman, that's all.

    3. You're telling me to read more Batman when I am in the process of selling hundreds of Batman comics I purchased and read over the years, lol.

  • @peteagassi 4. In the comic crossover "Deadly Knights" The Punisher [darker and more insane than Batman] attempts to shoot The Joker and Batman intervenes and basically says that The Punisher should be in Arkham Asylum.

    5. Once again, Batman IS NOT INSANE it is the only thing you keep hanging on it because I have debunked all your other moot points.

The fact that Batman can control himself clearly shows you he IS NOT INSANE as an INSANE person is out of their mind and has no control

  • @EndlessLaymon BATMAN IS THE MORE INSANE. YOU JUST EXPLAINED IT YOURSELF. ANY NORMAL PERSON WOULD KILL THE JOKER; THAT WOULD BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO. BY KILLING THE JOKER, YOU WOULD SAVE SO MANY LIVES. THE FACT THAT BATMAN KEEPS HIM ALIVE IS WHAT MAKES HIM INSANE. IT'S INSANE DOGMA. BATMAN DOESN'T KILL INSANE CRIMINALS--HE KEEPS THEM ALIVE SO HE CAN CONTINUE TO FIGHT THEM. THAT IS PURELY INSANE. GO READ 'THE KILLING JOKE' which ironically is by Allan Moore. READ THE END: BATMAN IS NUTS!!!!

  • @peteagassi Moreover, if you wanted to read a story about a psychotic character that is "dark" and [apparently] "mature" then why not read something like Hannibal Lecter books?? Are you still a kid>? Why would you want to read a story about a 'psychotic' character who would be laughed at like crazy in the real world. A full grown man dressed as a giant bat and wearing a cape and underwear on the outside as he throws batarangs and other stuff from his utility belt at people...

  • @EndlessLaymon LAughed at in the real world? HAHA! Are you kidding me?! IF Batman never existed and you ran into a 6 foot 2, 200 pound full grown man in a dark alley and he was dressed as a bat, you'd be shitting your pants! Even if the guys was in a clown suit, you'd be shitting your pants! What he's wearing is not the point. The point is that you have a deadly, grown man who is clearly insane, but unlike Hannibal Lecter he does GOOD. He is a classic character. A beloved American legend.

  • @peteagassi So is Micky Mouse. Grow the fuck up. If you're over 17 years old then you should approach reading material aimed at your age group. Is laughable when DC try to make Batman seem more mature than it really is - "trying" to make it dark but they won't have a word like FUCK or CUNT in there when grown people use these words daily. They also won't put sex and nudity in there. This content is prevelent in all REAL adult books. Batman is for teenagers. Period.

  • @peteagassi I have seen people dressed up as Batman...it is a fuckig joke. And any person who tried to act like a real life Batman you can guarantee I would piss myself LAUGHING at their expence. I would then happily watch the person being pulled into the back of a white van by men in white jackets as this BATMAN is kicking and screaming. ;)

  • Btw, Todd drew incredible follow-up to Batman: Year One.

  • Costume is questionable, but this is a COMIC BOOK WORLD, and it's not REAL WORLD. Silly, campy, or gritty, realistic - this is the author's imagination.Bruce wouldn't be a vigilante if he was married and had children, in my opinion. Spawn has balls of steel, so does Batman in some stories, like in Dark Knight Returns. Plus, Batman is a portrait of mentally challenged person gone for making one's life better.

  • When Alan said that his parents were killed and then he realized he should be Bat, that's not like that - his parents were killed, he was brought by Alfred, he saw the real face of Gotham and wished someone could make something with it, but no one was like it, except for Jim Gordon, but he's married person and father, so he could take a bad deal of risks, while Bruce Wayne is not. So he studied martial arts and science to do it by himself.

  • Comic books are made for FUN!!! People tend to be too serious over time. Actually I like Batman, but I personally don't read today books about his adventures because they're basically rehashes of old stories, but with more gritty atmosphere and so on. Statements of those writers, whom I admire, are actually a little inconsistent.

  • Fuck Alan Moore, that pretentiuos piece of shit who is so full of shit, it isn't even funny. Fuck Todd Mcfarlane, hack who created spawn, a second rate/dark ghost rider wannabe who is almost as boring as his douchebag creator.

Batman is a great character. These two guys talking about him are closet gaylords and dicks.

  • @awarlock82 Haha. Check out the mentality of your caped crusader fan! Listen to them sqirm over the facts shoved in their face of how elaboratly silly their dumb batman character is.

Thank you warlock for establishing how immature and TROLLISH you are - and how you can't take criticism. Like every other batman fan you only want to hear POSITIVE opinions about your crap character.

And once again, nice to see yet another person not DEBUNKING the statements, no, you just attack.

  • @EndlessLaymon

These aren't true facts, just the perception from two overrated comic writers who are social misfits as much as the Batman. YOu obviuosly have some personal hate towards batman, and you are using these petty little statements from two assholes to your advantage. You are boring, and this video shows what a follower you are. Nothing trollish about me. You have something against batman's mythos. Why don't you bash superman and fucking lobo instead.

  • @awarlock82 Their perceptions are based on logic and you know that.

Batman's mythos are silly, he is a pretty goofy character when you analyse him.

Yeah, you keep calling Moore and McFarlane assholes, doesn't make any difference.

Alan Moore especially is a wonderfully talented writer - Batman with his rehashed and predictable storylines and outcomes is what is overrated.

Your problem is that you have such a hardon for Batman that you only want to hear positive opinions about him.

  • lol interesting. Alan Moore and Mcfarlene aren't saying batman sucks tho, there just saying although people think batman is more realistic he's really not cause his motivations are not realistic, making him crazy then a lot of other heroes/freaks in comics because of the extra lengths he goes to.

  • @dannydesktop No they are mocking him. Alan is taking the piss out of him. they are pointing out how daft and goofy the character is. And this whole Batman is crazy shit is overplayed. Batman is not that dark or psychotic which is why it is a comic for teens not adult like PunisherMAX. Spawn and Punisher are dark character Batman is just a goofy and frankly shit character.

  • @EndlessLaymon Hold up now. Spawn was, is, and forever shall be a shit character.

  • @allthatisandeverwas

    1. that is your opinion - not fact

    2. i don't know why you're saying that as in no way am I a hardcore spawn fan or anything, though I do think Spawn is better written and a more dimensional and interesting character over Batman and has more balls

    3. Once again, I love how nobody tries to debunk or counter Moore's or McFarlane's statements....they just get worked up and attack

  • @EndlessLaymon Opinion, not fact. Kind of like your whole argument? Alan Moore takes the piss out of the entire superhero genre because none of it makes any sense. MacFarlane just wants to jam Spawn down everyone's throat because that's his bread and butter. And if anyone's getting worked up, it's you logging on every day so you can argue with people on the internet to feed your raging anti-Batman hard-on. Keep on trollin, dude, you rock.

  • @allthatisandeverwas Yeah...I'm trolling... It's fuckwits like you who don't understand the definition of terms because of your limited vocabulary and apply overused terms like "troll" when they don't fit the definition or person you're applying it to.

Of course I am going to sign in everyday and RESPOND to people I am debating with, that's why I have a Youtube account so I can...USE it.

And what Moore and McFarlane are saying is fact to everyone else BUT batman fans.

  • @EndlessLaymon shit character huh so is this all you do is talk bad shit to classic heros

  • Batman could use his money to hire armies of vigilantes/private police. He is crazy.

  • @kryptonbornson Batman is not crazy or dark he is just goofy.

  • @EndlessLaymon goofy? no he's not he is dark have you even read Arkhan asylum and the dark knight returns?

  • @SuperHorrormovies LMFAO!! Batman is dark, huh>! Based on ARKHAM ASYLUM?!

Oh my Lord you must by taking the piss.

Is there strong profanity or sex and nudity or disturbing violence or content on the level of Irreversible in Batman? NO! Is Batman under the Vertigo line? No.

Batman's content is dark by TEENAGE standards. Go read so Richard Laymon, Stephen King or Jack Ketchum if you want some DARK content.

Idiot kids. You don't know what dark reading material is.

  • @kryptonbornson maybe your crazy!

  • @SuperHorrormovies If you're insulting someone with a pulse because of a fictional character I KNOW you're crazy.

  • @kryptonbornson I am not crazy, I have no problem with someone liking Batman. But Alan moore and McFarlane make good points and therefore, I will defend them -- and not the Batman character.

  • @EndlessLaymon ? I'm guessing you agree with me...

  • @kryptonbornson I guess I do.

  • they think that's funny huh?

  • @SuperHorrormovies What..?

  • DC's better

  • Well, Batman does have money, looks, and a big fucking mansion and shit, but Spawn doesn't have to have a job to survive, being undead and all. MacFarlane has just confirmed what I have always suspected when Spawn first came out: Spawn is MacFarlane's idea of a new and improved Batman.

  • @moatwog I love how all you batman lovers just attack alan or todd or project your own speculations or try to say which character is better "Spawn" or "Batman"...everything apart from disproving what Todd or Alan say. Because you know what they say is true.

Even if McFarlane did try to make Spawn an improved Batman....at least he succeeded! lol

  • @EndlessLaymon ORLY? BATMAN WOULD KICK SPAWN'S ASS. J/K I don't give a shit. lol

  • @moatwog If you don't give a shit why respond in the first place. Seems like a big waste of time to me.

Oh, and even though you're "joking", if you knew about either character then you'd know that in a crossover Spawn destroyed Batman and Batman said something along the lines of "...and he was holding back.." after having his ass handed to him.

  • @EndlessLaymon that's the joke!

  • batman is not a superhero he is a detective a pulp detective based on other pulp detectives the phantom, black mask, and especially the shadow. batman is crime fiction fantasy.

  • Alan Moore was joking around.

Todd McFarlane makes some good points, but despite his character with its supposedly better conception, Spawn sucks and doesn't really hold a candle to Batman.

  • @MrLunitunz Lol, keep believing that.

  • Comment removed

  • @EndlessLaymon Don't worry. I will.

    McFarlane's work speaks for itself.

  • @MrLunitunz Yes, you're correct. He is a very successful person. ;)

  • @EndlessLaymon Yes. I very much enjoy the toys he makes. And I very much enjoyed his work on Spider-Man, he defined Spidey's look for a new generation.

  • @EndlessLaymon By producing toys which have nothing to do with his original creation, and his Spawn series mostly operating in the reds nowaday? I'm not one of those people who simply hate on McFarlane because it seems to be the "cool thing to do" nowadays. I highly enjoy watching and reading interviews with him, and although he definitely is a lil' bit too full of himself, I consider him to be a very intelligent businessman with interesting opinions. But you need to keep the facts straight.

  • @EndlessLaymon The last time Spawn was relevent in the industry was almost 12 years ago when the book hit #100 (I actually think that the first couple of issues after 100 were the best Spawn books in the regular series). Even up to that number, Spawn was mostly known for his convoluted Storyline that went nowhere, for a character who spent 80% of the issues that came before sitting in the rain whing.

  • @EndlessLaymon And it's side-projects which were so much better than the series written by it's creator (especially HellSpawn and Spawn: the undead, not to forget the Animated Series). The problem with Spawn is the fact that Todd wrote himself very early into a corner. He tried to built up a franchise on a character whose whole storyline should've had a definitive conclusion with #100 (or earlier). A character who would've worked best if it was written in form a limited series. "Vertigo-Style".

  • While McFarlane's criticisms of Batman are astute, I don't think that necessarily makes Spawn a good character. Spawn is black the way the third Deathlok is black. That is, you can't tell that he's black by looking at him. It's part of a long history of science fiction and fantasy to take a black man and mess up his appearance.

  • 'He didn't even like girl.'

    Eloquently put, Todd.

  • Um people take Alan Moore seriously? he's a bitter old guy who likes to complain.Mcfarlane has no clue about what Batman is,he sounds like a complete moron.

  • @darkseidpwns This is a mock. Characters can be mocked. As for if Moore can do the mocking, sure. Everyone can, especially one of the greastest comic writers the industry ever had.

Batman is just a Phantom wannabe with Zorro`s cape and playboy act. See, i mock him too :p

  • @MisterWhat, Alan Moore is the genius who wrote the graphic novel "Watchmen" which, I read a little to some of it and loved it. I also, watched the movie and loved it as well. Tood McFarlane being the creative genius artist of Spawn, Venom artwork he did, and even Spiderman as well shouldn't discredit Batman like that. Batman is not a Phantom wannabe, of Zorro. Batman was created by Bob Kane a genius and he came from Zorro's vigilante heroic character of Mexico.

  • @MrKevinlclayjr Bill Finger's responsible for Batman, he's the genius, Kane just took the credit and the money.

Plus, if we're talking about people Batman is most like, he was based on The Shadow and there are several similarities. The first Batman story was an adaptation of a Shadow story.

  • @darkseidpwns, I totally disagree with what Todd McFarlane said, about Batman being the cooky fake compared to his Spawn character. He said, that Spawn didn't have anything which, is not true. Before Spawn was even thought of, he was government agent Al Simmons husband of Wanda Fitzgerald Simmons. After Al Simmons accident he became the supernatureal vigilante "Spawn". Spawn is just like Batman except he was created to kill from his creator Malbogia. Spawn kills by choice now.

  • McFarlane pulls the race card? Does he think his crappy comic was better because he made his main character black?

  • @Mootaku No, nothing to do with race. His comic was better because it was more mature than Batman and doesn't repeat itself like Batman does. Batman is one of the most repetetive comics of recycled storylines that you could ever come across. And unlike Batman [the wannabe dark character] Spawn doesn't fuck around, he doesn't pretend to be dark - he IS and just runs with it.

  • @EndlessLaymon Although I agree in general that Indie comics can take more longterm risks than Marvel/DC, I disagree there. In Recent Spawn issues a guy is thrown into that weird world, introduced to the clown etc, it's almost like a remake of early Spawn issues. Overkill I find Batman the stronger book. Now, Savage Dragon, there's a book.

  • @EndlessLaymon BATMAN doesnt pretend to be dark what are you talking about? some writers write him perfect some screw him up but spawn is bullshit a cop out character..This hopelessly redundant action gross-out aspires to a form of hip vacuousness -- and may achieve it.TODD is a dick for saying that bout batman..he did not think that when he was drawing him? SPAWN definitely lost something in the translation.

  • @theartistwhocrys So Todd is a dick for having an opinion? Get real will ya, numnuts.

If Batman is so dark why isn't he under the Vertigo title? lol.

Batman is a silly, goofy, repetitive character. He isn't dark because there is no real adult oriented dark content in his book. Just dark for teenagers who the comic appeals to.

And if spawn is redundant...that what does that make Batman?? At least Spawn brings up universal/social issues. Batman is the boring action comic here!

  • @EndlessLaymon i agree batman should be in the vertico line...i just said DUDE....i said there are good writers who write him good and some bad..but hes better then spawn..and and batman's a household name spawn people go what the fuck is a spawn..lol.....i just prefer to read good batman stories thats all..im not gonna argue on line about todds reverse on white characters...YOUR WRONG DOUCHE BAG...GET OVER IT.......lol...

  • @EndlessLaymon It's simply a parade of toys and tricks, without a jot of playfulness, knowing humour or campery to endear itself. YOUR BOY todd , needs to think about how to tell a story.:) I WIN

  • @theartistwhocrys Why are you obsesse with winning? You haven't won anything, maybe in your deluded mind you have though.

Todd is not my boy. I don't really care for his work or any "crime fighting costumed hero" stories, thank you. But Spawn is darker than Batman in every way. Which is why he had an R rating HBO show. Batman will always be PG-13 caped crusader continuous recycled family rubbish.

So go read some boy wonder crap and delude yourself into thinking its dark. lol

  • @EndlessLaymon .The BATMAN is so relentlessly bleak that, paradoxically, its blackness is not given its full due. But this comic-book movie is more disturbing, and has more freakish power, than anything else I've seen all year.

  • @theartistwhocrys Do I have a job & I bet I don't understand characters... hmmm. If you were to check my channel profile you would understand that I am a published author and my book is on amazon with a 5 star rating.

Yes, I am sure you will "own" me...whatever that feeble minded orwellian newspeak term means. I can see what kind of intellect I am dealing with here by your grammar and vocabulary alone.

You don't know what bleak means if you think batman fits that description!!

  • @EndlessLaymon yeah im just saying i work in comics to say it..lol.. man you really need a grip.bro...no ego here...

  • @EndlessLaymon good luck with your 5 points...lol..nice talking to you maybe when you come to NYC we can hook up for coffee and ill give you a copy of my book from IMAGE COMICS...later dude hit me up on Facebook...

  • @theartistwhocrys Piss off, grow up and get a life.

  • @EndlessLaymon yawwwn 5 star rating...please dude. doesn't make you a great writer.. come on now.. i am an artist and writer and i know enough..TRUST ME..you wanna keep at this its no problem..im just saying your opion on the batman is wrong and any writer would know this..i worked with writers.. like NILES BENDIS..ETC..so don't go and brag about your 5 point star ratings..lol..

  • @theartistwhocrys You're just wasting my fucking time now. You are arguing for the sake of arguing just to get the proverbial last word because it means something to your ego.

You are not a comic writer, you are a liar. Nobody would hire an immature person who can't punctuate for shit to write their book.

And none of this is really my opinion [though I have provided my views] it is Alan's and Todds views.

An opinion is an opinion, stop getting worked up over your bumboy batman.

  • @Mootaku well said brother..spawn definitely lost something in the translation. An ugly, ugly book that makes no fucking sense.nothing more then a cop out by the (yawnn )great Todd McFarland...and i work for image comics and i told Todd this...lol...

  • Oh and let's not forget that Moore is no stranger to writing Batman and he didn't seem to have any concerns when he was doing it then. You know this is all still sour grapes over the Watchmen. Which by the way ALSO had grown up in costumes fighting over the top super villains.

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Sweet merciful christ.. Moore understands the industry - he is a fantastic and creative writer. Yes, he worked on Batman but it doesn't mean he has to love Batman.

And no, I am not confusing anything. I know camp when I see it and even modern Batman with its gay CAMPY looking costumes and character designs IS campy. Just look at Superman for fuck sake.

And there is more to comics than superheros. Comic books have evolved with the times and Watchmen is a SATIRE!

  • I think they've both proven the kind of people they are. Moore comes off a pretenious prick totally out of touch with reality and Macfarlen is a good artist but couldn't write a ransom note.

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Lol. Yes...Batman is just so fucking awesome for adults isn't he...

Alan Moore likes to write comic books but he has the intelligence to not just confine himself to a repetetitve formula of costumed hero campy crime fighters. Read more work by him.

  • @EndlessLaymon Firstly, the Batman comics aren't campy that was the 60's tv show and secondly, I've read enough of Moore's work to know he has his own formulas that he runs into the ground so that's not much of an argument. Don't get me wrong Watchmen was really good and I've read it many times but then again Moore as a person comes off a bitter, bitter man who seems like he doesn't understand how the business works sometimes.

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Are you for real. Moore is clearly a very intelligent and well educated man. More than you, guaranteed. Secondly, read From Hell, V for Vendetta and Voices of the fire.

I own many Batman comics, grew up with them, all the GN you can name... It is campy. Goofy villains, a costumed crime fighter, silly story-lines, and ridiculous elaborate costumes [penguin, Robin, mr freeze] so don't give me that shit. Read some adult novels and then compare it to the Batman premise.lol

  • @EndlessLaymon Okay firstly you're confusing camp with the stables of comics. Camp it's what you described. What you described is the core of what comics are (super hero comics anyway). If what you're saying is that super hero comics are childish or stupid or whatever then that's fine. Everyone has their own thing and it's not like I haven't read non-super hero comics (as it happens I'm not reading any new comics right now and haven't in a few years).

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Secondly, as for Moore I never said he wasn't educated or that he was stupid. What I'm saying is that, in every interview I've seen, he comes off as a grumpy old guy who's always complaining about this thing or that thing about how the industry is run (how it has always been run). For example he was always going on about he feels DC cheated him becasue they keep the Watchmen in print and the way his deal is worded as long as it's in print they own

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited it and he can't do anything with it on his own. Well duh. You were a writing doing a work for hire and that's how the game is played and he should have known that. It's not like he was a nube when he made that deal and surely he had an agent so what's with the complaining now. In any case without the likes of Batman and Superman there wouldn't be a comic industry and where would that leave him? If he hates it all so much why doesn't he

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited just quit and write novels or something?

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited, You are 100% correct Todd McFarlane and Alan Moore two genius's should never mock and discredit Batman like that and definitely, not ever Superman. These guys are "The World's Finest" as they became later because of their long history of heroism and dedication against injustice and corruption. Bruce Wayne became Batman because of the injustice and malicious deed done by Joseph Chill. Clark Kent became Superman to stand for truth and justice.

  • @EndlessLaymon, Batman's comics are not all ridiculously goofy, silly, and ridiculous. This is a legendary crimefighting character that became Batman to seek justice and peace against those that prey on the innocents. Superman is the symbol of hope, and light against a world full of darkness and corruption. Put these two things together man and you have :The World's Finest" as Superman and Batman were known as. You have no right to bash Batman like that as if he is nothing.

  • @EndlessLaymon, I have looked at some adult comics and novels and they are taken too seriously, and the material I would not recommend to teenagers, young adults, and older adults. The material in the adult novels don't make you smile, cry, and act heroic like the regular comics of the heroes we gew up with. The material in the adult novels are very violent, more sexually explicit, and the grammar speeches are too profane, and vulgar. Do you want people reading stuff like that?

  • @EndlessLaymon no thanks but i'll read batman, superman and many more classics

  • McFarlane is an arrogant prick. Everyone knows this. Sure, he created Venom and Spawn, one of the biggest comic book characters of the 90's, but Spawn hasn't been relevant for better than 10 years and I don't know anyone who still reads it. In fact, I don't think the comic shop I go to even carries the series anymore. I love how he tries using racial politics to justify his argument. Hack. Don't get me started on Moore. His latest work had woman gang-raped by psycho's and Man-Fish...

  • @johnnyhorror92182 And yet you don't try to refute their points... Batman is a story about a full grown man who dresses up in an elaborate costume as he attempts to scare his opposition by trying to be a six foot BAT! As he proceeds to beat criminals during the night hours... c'mon, buddy. This is silly kids stuff. Why anyone over 12-14 would want to keep reading the caped crusader is beyond me.

  • @EndlessLaymon I don't feel like their point was even that: whether it is silly or interesting to adults, but rather that there is nothing for the reader, regardless of his or her age, to get and learn from the character.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 What book from Alan Moore are you talking about?

  • @MGTGR123 Neonomicon

  • i hope you burn in hell for saying batman sucks you hater i hope bats get you

  • Fuck yous DC RULES!!!

  • Batman is great. Also damn silly.

  • WOW talk about disrespect ....fucking asshole Alan is ..he thinks his shit the best he not...the best i think he sucks...English cock suckers..

  • todd mcfarlane doesn't even understand batman

  • Batman likes girls. Quite a bit. Vicki Vale, Jezebel Jet, Catwoman, Zatanna, Silver, etc. I mean, he's certainly crazy, but he likes girls.

  • @Vadergeek Todd McFarland is stupid...spawn is just a rip off of ghost rider and other marvel characters..he worked on...talk about disrespect

  • @theartistwhocrys Batman is a silly character, get over it. It's very goofy but trying to be dark and mature.

Todd is a smart person, his character isn't a rip off at all. Todd has admitted anyway that Spawn was inspired by many great characters he loved so he used those characters to help him when he was trying to come up with his character, Spawn/ which he created when he was in high school or college.

Batman is a bitch. Spawn is the real deal. He don't fuck around or act like a pussy.

  • @EndlessLaymon Batman's not a silly character, your thinking of the 60s batman

the Real Batman's Fuckin dark and fights crime, so Fuck you, superman fan

  • @SuperHorrormovies, I love both Batman and Superman two of DC's biggest and most iconic superheroes. The females are Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Batgirl. For a third most popular DC superhero after Batman and Superman I would go between Flash and Green Lantern. Superhorrormovies don't even dare bash Superman buddy, Superman is one of the greatest superheroes of all time. His history is almost quarter away from 100 years old so is Batmans. Leave our heroes alone if you hate i

  • Two words for you = GROW UP! Read your comments back to yourself. Seriously, this is an honest statement, okay - you come off as a creepy obsessed mother fucker. As a very sad person. You talk of these fucking fictional campy costumed heroic CHARACTERS as though they are Jesus or something. THEY DON'T EXIST! For fuck sake.

And yes! i DO want people reading vulgar stuff, because THEY'RE ADULTS - People grow up and read dark and mature stuff! They don't read silly kiddie stuff. lol

  • @EndlessLaymon, I never said, that the fictional characters you call campy costumed heroic characters were Jesus. I and billions of fans out there see realistic characters eventhough they are fictional characters. What you think is stupid are heroes that have inspired us to be heroes reading about them. There are stories of fact from these characters that you are not ware of.

EndlessLaymon you are not a positive example for anyone pushing negative lifestyles in people.

  • @EndlessLaymon, I am not a creepy obsessed anything that would be you putting so much obsession in getting adults to read graphic novels 100% of the time. That is not healthy for anybody EndlessLaymon. You don't think like an adult at all but a teenager thinking he knows people's desires and by exploiting mature profane, and vulgar stuff that is okay.

I call that barbaric, unethical, and immoral influence to destroy someone's life. Not all comics are not good to read. Wake Up.!

  • @MrKevinlclayjr sorry i didn't mean to say superman sucks

superman's cool but batman cooler so i like batman and superman after all they are from dc

    marvel can go to hell

i'm not here to talk tash about are heroes

  • @SuperHorrormovies or maybe not a superman fan

  • @EndlessLaymon you know nothing of batman

  • @SuperHorrormovies, You are exactly right buddy. EndlessLaymon believes adults should read graphic novels more than comics we grew up on like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Hulk, and XMEN. Spawn is cool and okay but too much of anything that is filled with violence, drug material, sex material and so can destroy the readers reality of enjoying comics. EndlessLaymon doesn't know anything about Batman discrediting him like that.

  • @MrKevinlclayjr Wake up...I am awake, what the fuck are you talking about.

    1. You grew up with baby shows...do you still watch them too?

    2. The world is a killing field. Nature is not human hearted. So presenting people with a care bear rainbow earth ISN'T helping anyone. The real world is violent and agressive and can kick your ass. Adults understand the real world more than anyone, so reading material that reflects reality HELPS you no matter how "vulgar" it is.

  • @MrKevinlclayjr Obsessing [as you clearly are] over silly characters who wears campy elaborate costumes when you're over 16 is what is creepy and not good for you. Grow up. You'll never see the word "cunt" or "fuck" dropped in a batmn comic because it reflects the age group it is aimed at.

And what the hell is wrong with sexuality? lol, what kinda fruit are you? I want more sex and tits and ass in my stories - I'm an adult and I like that content because it's fun!

    ...child..

  • @theartistwhocrys "English cock suckers". Hmmm, who's making your "great" batman films at the moment> You disrespectful cunt.

  • hey you mocking batman!

  • @SuperHorrormovies No I'm not. Mcfarlane and Moore are..
