Anyone else notice he's mis-transformed in city mode. Why on Primus' good grey Cybertron, can't these photographers check to make sure they did it right before shooting these?
I had Metroplex, Fortress Maximus and Scorponok, but never Trypticon for some reason. I even remember the birthdays--Metro was when I was 6, Scorponok when I turned seven and Maximus for the following Christmas.
As big as he may be, Abominus went straight up to Fortress Maximus and easily ripped off his large cannon while Computron with his "computational ability of 200 supercomputers" couldn't just simply get out of the way and got smashed in the face with a mountain thrown by Scorponok.

he is the greatest but sadly he is so expensive today and i thing i will find instead brave maxi mus repaint because he is a lot cheap even he is takara toy and the only thing brave maximus does not have is two guns and mini vehicle sixgun .

hasbro should reissue fortress maximus so that we all could access to him. They might as well since the world is ending in couple of years any how. They might as well make people feel good before the rich and elite go hiding in there bunkers like cowards they r.
i could see fortress maximus falling over on that kid causing him to go to the hospital. not a good idea to duck down like that with a giant toy above your head... lol.
They did make a reissue of Fortress Maximus... Grand Maximus and Brave Maximus released in 2000. Same mold and same transformation, just different colors.

You were a lucky kid to get a Fortress. Real lucky!! It sold to $124.99 at Toysrus. I was an adult before I got one. Cool for me but not the same. I now have 500 transformers from age 13 - 35 now.
I wish they would reissue him as they are with Metroplex. He is just too expensive whether it be this version or Brave Maximus. I could go for Skorponok as well.
@dirtypirate79 I got scorponok he used to my dad's but hes mine now i used to have so many but he doesnt have all the ones he used to or i would have all predacons, dinobots, terrorcon, technobots, skylynx, ultra magnus, kup, and many more to bad some got broke and missing peices and cuz of that they got thrown away. ):
