I personally love halo more then gears cause of the music makes me feel like I need to live up to something and the timless laughs I've had in multiplyer ie plasma grending a banshy, trying to snipe someone that is flying thought the air with a gravlift running someone over with a ghost or warthog while gears is more serious and in my opinion less develped multiplayer and is more redundent in multiplayer and is less free roam

But yea there are some good mysteries, not good as halo's. When halo came out everyone was like o shit whats gonna happen next, why, when, where, how. I didnt get that reaction on Gears.
