@spyglassash Wow a Treo 300. That is a very old model. You can buy a charger off of eBay for a good price. I think you can charge it via the computer but I am not sure.

Hi There, Did a hard reset with the Treo 600 and when I get to step 3 and place the stylus on the target nothing happens. The phone is stuck at step 3 and will not move on. Suggestions? Thanks!

@curtmarkjack1 If it is doing nothing after the intial reset, try remove the battery. DO NOT remove the battery if you see any of the Palm logos, this could mess up the firmware in the phone but once you have to tap the stylus, it is already done with the intital hard reset process. This happened to me on my Palm Treo 650 and it was just fine.

@TheSDFilms You would need to send that in to the Palm Repair Department. If you have already tried a hard reset and soft reset and the device still will not boot up, then most likely chance is that the Palm OS on your phone is probably corrupted and would need to reinstalled by Palm. Also you may consider upgrading to a new Palm smartphone as well because the repair charge would probably equal the cost of a new Palm smartphone.

Please only post ONE comment. No, there is specific firmware software for those specific models only. Installing other models firmware into another model other than the one it is specified for could completely ruin the operating system.

Hi, I have a 700p from sprint and today It started to freeze up. It just says network search up top and has a little red t next to it. I guess the t stands for tty or tdd whatever it is. I did the hard restart and no luck. I options phone preferences to turn off tty and it says phone has to be on to perform procedure. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch

I have a sprint 755p I bought it used and don't have the disk for it and when I go to the palm website to do the upgrade it tells me I need the disk. How can I solve that problem? Also when my phone loses signal it will shut off or reset itself. Is this normal?

You need the desktop software to update the firmware in your 755p. What you need to do is download the Palm Desktop software. I will send you a message with the link.

Well, I've done numerous soft, warm, and hard resets on the machine (TX). I've even tried to run the battery out and then recharged it, which fixed the distorted grey splash screen, but still in a reset loop. What is/how do you perform a system reset? Thanks.

My TX in a reset loop with the gray PALM splashscreen looking much like the screen shown in YT video "Palm Tx Bricked!" Have tried hard reset # of times w/o result (device still loops). Any suggestions on what to try next?

Your device is probably busted. You might have to send it into Palm for repair and they could reinstall the Palm OS on the device. Have you tried a system reset?

I can't reset my treo 650, because I get a notice "Low battery shutdown" "Your battery is almost empty, shutting down in 29 seconds..." What should I do?

Your manual should tell you what to do if you are getting that indication.

Manual tells me to do a system reset (=safe or warm reset), but when treo starts after that, the "Low battery shutdown" pops up and treo restarts again.

I take it that you charged the battery right?. If you did, leave the battery out for a day. Your Treo may be broken and might have to be sent in for repair but the cost for a repair could equal a new Treo or Centro.

Yes the quality is better and louder on the Centro than the Treo 650.

my treo 650 will turn on but it is always acting like it is connecting with the computer. it will not let me access any other function. it worked great until my daughter got ahold of it and did something and i cant figure out what she did. do you know of any way to fix this

Try preforming a soft reset simply by removing the battery and reinserting it or press the reset button near the the battery compartment to preform a soft reset. A soft reset is like resetting your computer. Anymore questions PLEASE REPLY!!!

I don't think its possible to do this becuase the motherboard in the device is specificially made to run Palm OS, not Windows Mobile.If you need anymore help, please reply!

I bought an unlocked treo 650 from the net, my service is ATT, but my phone keeps freezing up! it happens mostly in the middle of the night. Is this because of the unlocking software? I hope its not hardware but how do I fix this? Please help!

on the palm 600, how do you free up the RAM?

also, i downloaded an emulator and when i launch the rom it crashes and says:

- infos: cannot sys_alloc 131100 bytes

then when i click ok, it says:

- free ram: 82/68

and then repeats the codes but the numbers change... the get spaller.

any help would be great

There is not much we can do to free RAM on the device. However, you can try some of the following options, reinstall it or preform a hard reset which will basically delete everything and set it to factory default. Please see how to reset a Palm Centro/Treo. Anymore questions be sure to reply!

If you want to do music and take hours and thousands of pictures. Maybe your internal memory is full, you may need to delete some stuff. When your in the camera application, look off to the bottom left and you should see an idicator on how many pictures you can take. It should say like 60 Left or something like that. If you see 0 Left, then that means your internal memory is full. I would get an expansion card(memory card) If i were you! Anymore questions please reply!

If you use a mac, then I can't help you because I have not tried it on a mac. The following is for Windows only!

You want to install the Palm hotsync software, you can download it from palm if you don't have the CD. After you install the sofware, you want to click on the Palm quick install and add your video files. If that doesent work please reply and I will be happy to help you further

On the phone application, Tap the upper left hand corner of the screen, go to edit favorites pages, then select the page you want the speeDial to be, there you can create a speedDial with a hot key that you can dial at anytime your on the phone application! Anymore questions please reply!

Yes with a program called minitones. if your songs are not mp3 then there is a program called musictones.
