Hi, Thegamedude. Sorrow is something even more ubiquitous than the PC, than electricity. Yet, when each of us feels sorrow we often also feel alone and disconnected. My advice is to avoid any low vibrations (certain TV content, certain friends, etc...) into your mind while you are in sorrow. Allow yourself to feel all aspects of the sorrow completely, not suppressing any of it. It may grow to an overwhelming intensity, but breaking down is sometimes critical to advancement of the soul.

Also, don't push yourself to "think positive". That doesn't work unless thinking positive becomes "believing positive". There comes a point where you must completely accept the pain and that which you perceive to be its cause; surrender completely to it, like the leaves surrender to the autumn wind. Give up the will to push it away. We're are all essentially together and the same. Don't forget. I pray for your quick healing. Peace to you, my friend.

You must forgive the sorrors, the people who caused them.... is your sorrow based in love or on personal loss? If its ego based....well ... some sorrows are just meant to be experienced, possibly paying a karmic debt. You can forgive the people who gave you the lessons by looking at them as if they are one with you, or God. (same thing, as the divine is in you.)

I myself am dealing with ego issues. The process of elevating consciousness seems apparent when you engage in critical thought about history, humans, and the relations of our world, earth, and spirituality. I can believe in myself that I understand it, but the processes of my daily life do not reflect peacefulness and oneness of my thoughts. It's hard knowing ego is the main cause of my sorrow but it just wont go away. But, like you said, I suppose karma pushed me into this process.

The expectations you have ...... expectations don't exactly vibrate with the love energy, they vibrate with the ego. Expecting peacefulness and oneness is our goal. Yet there is an acceptance of being willing to experience whatever the Creator sends your way. So its no on the expectations, yes on the service to others.
