@7fires7trumpets Antares isn't even nearly the largest. That would be VY Canis Majoris with a diameter of 3 trillion km. Sitting where our Sun is, the edge would be between Saturn and Neptune.

Like a lot of folks here, I'd love to think we could make a journey into the cosmos at some point in our future, though considering it would take about 10,000 years just to reach the edge of our own solar system (based on the fastest speed we can currently go), it ain't going to happen soon and probably never. Space is just too bloody big!

What if life isn't something unique? I mean we were basicly created by a mix of chemicals and particles. I'm sure there are thousand of other things that are way more unique than life it self. And as we got this mix. It means that mix must've happened in our solarsystem. And as we're alone I'm 83% sure that there is no other life in the universe. Maybe we will find something that acts like a lifeform but it isn't. Believe me. We are special but far far away from being the most special.
