At least Lauren can sing. Scotty is good for country but I feel that he doesn't represent American Idol (in regards to the past winners and their albums, etc.). Haley sounds like she has been smoking since the womb and I can't stand her shrieking, yelling and growling.

@controvesorry Totally right about Don't stop beliving, but he had THE voice that couldn't be stopped. And the guy is so genuine too. And among all the contestants, I believe he was the one who needed to win the most. Scotty is already a big star on his own, Lauren is magnificent and Haley has got all that's needed to become a star too. James is a diamond in the rough, and winning AL would have helped develop all that talent.

yeah, Lauren did very well with this, and not because i live in the south, and about 75 feet where one of the tornado's touched down. she really nailed this one, she probably has the best pure voice of all the contestants, but learning how to best utilize that voice, with more experience she is going to be a superstar, shes easily another kelly clarkson quality talent.
