  • Why you show only android devices in all your videos? You no longer deal with apple? However, a few months ago I got a 3009 receiver with "А" logo which means that it works with AirPlay

  • @GlobalaudioRussia The iPod/iPhone app was actually the first app we developed to provide access to our AV receivers by smartphone - Android followed quite a while later. In the meantime, we even provided Onkyo Remote 2 for iPod/iPhone, to catch up with the newer Android app. This should clearly show our support for iPod/iPhone based access. With regards to AirPlay: currently, the T-4070 Network Tuner is the only product with AirPlay support. More info on eu.onkyo.com.

  • @OnkyoEU I clearly see the "air play" label on my 3009 box and a model index is Onkyo TX-NR3009AE

You want to say that this model of AV-receiver with AirPlay support is no longer produced?

  • thanks for that onkyoEU, i suspected that alright, think ill just get a wireless adaptor.

  • I've got a wireless pc behind my tv, can i connect the reciver to the pc via ethernet and work the app this way? ( this would save me running another ethernet cable to the reciever, or buying another wireless adaptor). Its the tx sr609 i have and windows xp.

  • @cabbott101 In principle, yes - but the PC will have to be configured in a way to do the routing of network packages between the AVR and the existing wireless adapter. This can be very tricky and might require some more indepth knowledge of networking.

  • can you browse your media server files thru this app?

  • @tolsonmn Yes, as long as your media server (or NAS / network storage etc.) is DLNA compatible, you can easily browse the music on your media server - and playing it back on your Onkyo AVR.

  • Does it works with ONKYO TX-NR 509B same way? Thanks

  • @dzesbadjes Hi, TX-NR509 is also supported!

  • Does this work when the receiver is connected to a router via ethernet and the phone communicates via wireless to the same router?

  • @diogoLTR Yes - what you described would be a typical setup for using the app.
