I remember watching this when it was on (I'm old). I never figured out if they were stoned or the whole thing was a put-on. Still cracks me up, though. Right around this time I saw Beck play on the tiny stage at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. Even though he had written lyrics, while performing he looked like he was picking words and phrases out of an imaginary stream that was flowing by above the audience. Great stuff.
