  • I have high functning autism and was adopted. Aparently my biological mother hung out in a bar all the time and even met my biological father in there. I have to wonder if I could have had FAS as well. I was never said to have it because they took her word that she didn't drink in the bar. I had horrible mood swings and lots of behavior problems so I wonder if my problems were really autism or FAS. I'm an adult now so I guess it dosen't matter, but I am still curious.

  • a friend of mine meets a lot of the criteria concerning FAS, but he does really well in school (he's at a university now) although what he's studying doesn't require much abstract thinking or anything along those lines. my question is this: can someone with FAS make A's in college level courses?? excuse me if that's a dumb question, i just don't much about the syndrome.

  • I noticed some of your prolife videos have been taken down- can you repost them, especially, "not my body but m choice"?

  • @ArionaMew - I will check into it -- thank you for your comments! regards...

  • both of my sisters have this.

  • i have FAS and other disorders because of my adopted mom because of her my twin brother has autism our lives are changed forever because she smoked drinked and used cocaine. how dare she endanger my brothers or mines life and she put us up for adoption. because of what she did, i feel like nobody likes me because my biological parents mustve hated me considering wat they did to me and my brother i hate them they probably had another child and left me and my brother behind.

  • You don't have FAS because of your adoptive parents, you should feel lucky that anyone gave you a chance, because of their sacrifice you have had a better life that you would have otherwise been able to have.

  • hang in there bro, same story here.

  • Very educative and good video, thank you

  • katdanmo2, thank you -- you are welcome!

  • What if a child is just hyperactive but for the rest he is a normal child, would that categorise him as a FAS?

  • katdanmo2, no, but for more details, please see our recently posted FAS training videos (six segments).

  • I have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.I am adopted. And my parents don't know what level I am at. And my birth mom doesn't even know how much alcohol she drank and she also smoked serveral cigarets a day when I was in her tummy. Mothers should stop drinking alcohol and smoking when they are preganant. We all want these children to have a good life.

  • i have FAS to and i never meet my parents couse my mom they died when i whas a baby

  • I'm sorry

  • well i just have to live whit it

  • It's so sad that there are so many stupid mothers out there that drink and smoke during pregnancy. They might as well be called abusers and murders.

  • Absolutely.

  • if a mother is can be charged for using cocaine and other illegal drugs while pregnant, why not alcohol???? I hate alcoholics..

  • what is the point of hating alcoholics all they want to do is enjoy life and feel good the people you should be hating is the corporations and the government people that allow the stuff to be sold

  • the mothers arent murderers the corporations and the government people that allow the stuff to be sold are murderers

  • Although i strongly disagree with your views on marijuana

I support your views on alchohal

  • having an alcoholic father I am convinced that alcohol is pure evil. My father is crazy from it now.

  • same here but wit my mother

  • Well, Tylenol and Advil can kill too but I don't see anyone blaming the gov and corporation for letting us have those.

When you're an adult, you should be smart enough to discern what's good and bad for your health and the health of your children. If you choose to disregard that knowledge and drink while pregnant, the consequences are your fault, not the government, and not the corporation. We're free to make our own choices, don't blame the "higher ups" for your own stupidity.
