  • this make up is good i have acne scars and it covers everything!!

  • 29847859247235 layers of foundation.

    totally natural.

  • Love the foundation, hate the brushes, great to use foundation with wet brush for better concealing, then use dry over it.

  • why can't you have foundation on the outside of the brush?

  • I am literally crying right now because this is so good!!! NEVER GOING BACK TO LIQUID!!!

Recommended for students that have to go to school in the morning, or people who have to go to work!! REAL flawless coverage if you want to build up!!

  • It doesn't feel good when you buff it in, that brush hurt -.- seriously it HURTS

  • This is the best foundation - I'm never going back to liquid.

  • Funny how the model already has a ''beautiful complexion''.

  • I have this and its amazing! I have lots of freckles and it covers them well!

  • "she says that u do't need omre than what's in the lid and then she goes and dumps some more in it"

She means you don't need much on your brush- if you put too much on your brush at one time, you can't blend the makeup in, and you look blochy. Of course, depending on your skin tone or whether you get a tan you may need more or less makeup.

  • Is it just me or is she just brushing it onto the skin, she's not actually buffing it in?!

  • I actually have this and it does work for about a 1/2 hour on me anyways. I have very oily skin and as much as I like using less foundation I also like to know it's on:) I don't recommend this for anyone with oily skin such as myself. Also, the brush always seems to leave a few bristles? on my face, almost like hair! I hate that.

  • @Doreen075 If you have oily skin, you should use their Matte foundation instead of the original, that's what its for. & I don't recommend the Bare Minerals brush; invest in a good Mac face powder brush or a Sigma brush. The quality is almost as good as Mac, but way cheaper.

  • I got my kit for 60 at sephora b.m. is thee shit

  • I heard alot of reviews that dont buy matte if u have dry skin but does this brand "original" foundation helps your dry flaky skin which i know it does for redness? I know should always moisturized first which i do but does it help fix/smooth dry skin like it claims for acne/redness medical problems? Thanx :)

  • With all the money she's got you'd think she could film in HD...jeez

  • @hamster209 i got mine for 60 dollars at sephora

  • what blemishes and brown spots?!

  • @Zhan1960 hahha ommgg

  • i feel like it doesnt really cover my acne scares and acne bumps like the commercials says it suppose to :(

  • @12colormeblue yeah, something annoying about her

  • unless you are a 14 year old with perfect skin, you need at least 3 times what she dumped in that lid.

  • this stuff didn't work for me :/ i think i have to use the concealer too

  • I was very sceptical myself, as I have a lot of acne scars. I cannot believe how beautiful this make-up is, and how well is covers. Such a small amount is needed to cover even the most troubled complexion. I found that the dvd that came with the kit needs to be updated, however. There should be woman participating with more of a skin tone range, and a larger age range. This make-up is so worth the money.

  • Duhh she already has perfect skin ladddy.

  • @12colormeblue Haha. . . me too!

  • how on earth did that work for her? i still see darkness under her eyes even after the lady put on so much of that stuff from the brush.

  • how do u wash the brushes and clean your makeup off all the makeup after ?

  • This is the best foundation! I tried it yesterday. I thought this commercial was lying but it actually works...I didn't use as much as she's using on her face.

  • I do like Bare Minerals a lot but I find that I have to use a "real" concealer for my problem areas (under eye darkness and red pimples). :(

  • what coverage does that woman need?

she already has good skin so i don't see what she needs "extra coverage" for

and she said you don't need much but she went back to the foundation like 5 times.

  • @ayooxgina if you see this video in high quality, or you have the cd you revieve when you buy the starter kit you can actually see the un-eveness in her skin, she does not have acne brake outs, but her skin is discolored. I have acne, and a LOT of un-even skin tones, red marks ect. and it covers on my skin beautifully.

  • @ayooxgina you don't need much to fill up the brush, you don't want a lot in the brush, there's nothing wrong with putting more makeup into the lid to fill the brush again.

  • i wanna be a mooodeeelll! but i dont have the skin for it! :(

  • how much does it cost?

  • @hamster209 about 25 for the foundation. I have tried every mineral foundation out there, looking for one just as good but cheaper...try Revlon colorstay mineral foundation. About $12 to $15 and better than BE

  • she said less is more, but she put on a whole bunch just in many increments, and the concealer did nothing

  • love Bare Minerals i went to Bare Essentials yesterday and when i got a shade test the effect was amazing i have acne spots and it covered most of them with light coverage from the foundation.

  • @Zhan1960 Lmao I laughed out loud! That was a good joke!

  • Haha, like the joke.

  • First of all, we do NOT care how much you make a year. We dont know you and we dont care about you. Second, we dont care how many kits you have left to open. If you're that well off, we are happy for you. Dont need to tell the whole world!

  • that was obviously a joke. hence the "JUST KIDDING" at the end.

  • I love bare minerals foundation..trying out matte foundation and loving it so far..

  • Wow I can see it flying off of the brush

I can't wait to get my Bare Minerals tomorrow, I hope it helps my skin

  • I love Bare Minerals...but its so expensive....

and I'm going away to college in two years so I won't be able to afford it

  • Try this website or some Macy's have this product....it is made by the same company as Bare Essentials. You will love the price, too and it is not necessary to have the products delivered to you automatically every month and charging it to you.

  • try sheercover i like both sheercover and bare minerals, but sheer cover is a little less costly

  • thank you Leslie! you have amazing products! :)

  • i been using it for this year i still have some left from the started kit and i use every day i really love it i have eye liner eyeshadow, and lip gloss the store is great too it really works great and it last along time too .

  • in the uk debenhams and fenwicks

    i think sephora in america

    x

  • technically, you're not supposed to use so much . if you use to much, you just get way more excess than the actual brush can hold .

  • Sheer Cover,

    I ABSOLOUTLY FRIKIN LOVED!!

It has a neautral undertone, but im thinking it adapted to skin pigments.

i used it up in 1 week in a half tho, cause i was trying to conceal my freckles :P

I would like to try bare minerals, but if you havent tried sheer cover, i recommend!

  • I think that if you need good coverage bare minerals doesn't do a very good job at covering anything but perfect skin. I also have friends that use bare minerals and their blemishes aren't concealed. I have problem skin and sheer cover had much better coverage for me. I think that the type of skin you have really effects the results you get with these two types of mineral make-up

  • LOVE IT! won't put anything else on my face now... and guess what no more acne breakouts either...

    you guys are AWESOME!

  • but doesnt it have glitter in it?

  • Nope, it doesn't have glitter and it looks natural. But it gives you a nice glow.

  • it only looks glittery because of the crushed minerals but it dissolves when it touches your skin

  • damn that lady has dark ass lids:( not leslie but the other one. wtf.

  • I loove Bare Minerals.. It didn't work first time I tried it, because I used one that was too dark. It looks so natural, I love it.

  • i like bar minerals...but i'm adicted. i wear waaaay too much to cover up acne scars and stuff and it just looks like a mask on ym face. i'm sure it works perfect for people with minor imperfections though

  • @jaigurudevaummm really? I use the concealer brush all over my face, but it still looks natural because the oils in my skin melt the foundation onto my face and it looks natural still, but that's just for me.

  • I love Bare Minerals. I used to have really bad acne, but ever since i started using bare minerals a ton of it has cleared up! I think all the chemicals from my old foundation was killing my skin and causing a lot of the break outs. I love how this makes me look. It's a great product. Though i don't think "just a little bit" does it for most people, including myself. !

  • i love bare minerals. i used to use liquid foundation, but this feels so natural on my skin. The reason why the woman in the video, Leslie, the CEO of this company, does it again and again is because she wanted more coverage. it's like layering. some people need more coverage and some need less depending on the condition of their skin.

  • lol homw many times does she apply it? at the beginning she says 'this is all you need' and then she keeps on applying it again and again

  • LOL hahaha

  • lmao i no srsly

  • OMG! I am in LOVE with this makeup! It's the best out there!!! Anyone who does NOT use this...is an idiot!

  • she says that u do't need omre than what's in the lid and then she goes and dumps some more in it -_- whatever

  • Per application..... so you wouldnt dump a lot on and start applying, just a little, apply, then repeat...if u put too much all at once you are not going to get EVEN coverage.

  • @tHiZZlEsTiCKs Lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this stuff is amazinggg. i have it on rite now for the first time & im more than happy with the outcome; what gets me mad is the lady on the video ! your supposed to apply in circular motions. its BUFF not SWIPE on !

  • lol and she's the CEO of bareMinerals

  • i have REALLY bad under eye darkness. Will it cover it up well??

  • no.

    i hate this makeup >:(

  • i agree it didnt really work for me either.

    i wanna try sheer cover

  • SHEER COVER IS PURE SHIT

  • lol

  • i agree

  • I have moderate acne because of the old liquid foundation I used. But now I just started using BareMinerals today and you can see my pimples. How long do I have to use it to have the acne getting better and to show less?

  • I have a question because this stuff doesn't look like it provides enough coverage.

I have some spots from acne on my cheeks AND undereye circles, do you guys think this'll cover that?

  • Yes it will you just will need to put like 3 layer rather then just 1 or 2. This woman here dosen't even know how to put it on. You dont need it on your eyes and ur suppose to use circular motions....

  • I'm so glad that Bare Minerals has come to the UK. I couldn't find it anywhere apart from online but now it's come to a store near me. I have alot of red acne marks on my skin from a previous bout of severe acne that I had, and this stuff is fantastic at covering it up. And it is non-comeodogenic too so it won't give me more acne woohooooo!!!

I want to be a Bare Minerals shop assistant!!! Love love love it!!!

  • I loooovvveee this stuff. I have really fair skin, and tried everything!! from drugstore foundation to high end brands. I tried this 3 years ago and I never turned back. Not only does it melt onto my skin and cover reddness without any signs of makeup....but it has greatly improved my skin tone, and my pores have shrank. Its well worth the money....you use so little, but get great coverage. I still have the same one from a year ago.

  • bare minerals divine'ssss!!! mdr!! TAPE OF OF THE EXXESS!!! lool

  • omg i looooooooooooove this stufffff. it's like acne clenser meets makeup. it's good for oyur skin and you get that good coverage. it's worth the money.

i have scars and an uneven skin tone. it hides EVERYTHING!!!

  • here is another one you might wanna cover???? that girl has flawless skin!!!...i wish they had used a model with some real skin problems...:S

  • thank you...that's what I said!

  • Bare Minerals is not exactly "healthy" makeup. It has a filler called Bismuth Oxychloride; which irritated many peoples' skin; including mine. I've also read that even if Bismuth doesn't effect some people's skin, it can still be harmful as they get older.

  • What are Broken Capillaries?

  • Acne

  • i see absolutely no different in this video. she looks exactly the same at the end as she did in the beginning. not worth sixty bucks if ya ask me... but i dont have it so i guess i wouldnt no

  • I think it looks not much different because the model already has really good skin anyways! If they done a model with acne and stuff, hopefully it would look different but natural! :)

  • this is quite tricky to apply when you first get it but it does look really natural (i have v.v.v.oily acne prone skin so its hard for me to look like im not wearing a mask)

only thing is the sifter annoys the living hell out of me, i took mine out..

  • do u know where can i buy this?.. not online?... thanx!

  • sephora

  • best makeup ever covers all of your imperfections on the skin and doesnt feel like your wearing any makeup love it

  • i think i saw an ad before but could this possible cover up scars? i have tons of brown patches on my leg from mosquito bites last year..

  • yep... i get brown spots on my face from old blemishes, and the bare minerals cover it up... actually, i use the blemish treatment and it actually takes away not only present blemishes, but old scars from old OLD blemishes... it's AMAZING

  • I haven't tried this product yet, but my friend uses it on a regular basis and looks amazing.

    Alvira Khan

    Florida Atlantic University

    FAU Alumna

  • this wroks amazing! only thing that covers my acne ;] and still looks natural

  • African American 51 year old have been using for 5 years. It is the BEST makeup I've ever used. I get compliments *all* the time on my skin -- not my makeup. Go to Sephora and you can play with the foundation colors to find the right mix. They've added more shades for women of color. Try it. Also go to QVC to order once you figure out what you need.

  • I started to use Bare Minerals 4 years ago, it's a great product.

  • This is the number one seller at Sephora. I bought it for the first time today. I have heard that too it works better on lighter skin tones than darker. However they are trying to come out with more shades.

  • I love this stuff. Never going back to liquid.

  • i need to get this stuff! i don't think i can match my skin color very well though. is there a way to get someone experienced to match it for me? or is there only one shade?

  • its really good stuff when you learn how to use it right on applying <333

  • User since 2006!

  • does anyone use the bisque too?? i use the summer bisque with the concealer brush under my eyes and on spots i want to cover

  • I love bisque, it really does cover my blemishes.loveeeeeeee it:)

  • I've used all different kinds of make-up, but this is really something else. I recommend EVERYONE to try this product. I've had "problem skin" since I was 13 and started using make-up. But since I started using I.D bare minerals my skin got clearer and free from pimples and it feels so good/fresh to have it on your face. I.d bare minerals foundation is so pure you can actually sleep in it(I dont though). It really covers blemishes, scars and prevents pimples..

  • the people who do not like bare minerals are probably just used to the pressed, waxy crap they used before. It takes a while for your skin to adapt

  • i've been using bareMinerals for a little over 2 years now.. and i love it :)

  • none of ur colors match my skin...im mixed..and the light is to light and the dark is to dark :-( </3

  • so wear the medium :P

  • i love this make up but i always tend to need more than the video says....

  • I used Proactiv for years, and it improved my acne, to an extent. We, who suffer from acne, will probably suffer with acne for the majority of our lives, regardless of treatment. There is no cure for acne, yet.

I developed a more serious skin condition, and my doctor wrote me a prescription for 1% clindamyacin gel that when applied as a thin layer onto clean skin daily, is the best thing I have used so far. It's an antibiotic, just to warn you. It may work for some of you too. Worth a try.

  • Am I missing something? It's a powder! I've gotten the foundation at a Sephora's with the help of an employee, and all it did was highlight the blackheads on my nose. My cheap tinted moisturizer does a better job. Maybe it's only for oily/acne-prone types.

  • I tried Bare Minerals and I was not impressed with it. I returned it to the store. I have tried other mineral foundations such as "Philosophy", which I love. Also, I like "PurMinerals", "Jane Iredale" and "Senna Cosmetics", because they offer it in a "compact" form, which is very convenient. I don't care for the loose powder foundations. I have also read that you have to be careful with loose minerals, because the fine powder can be inhaled into the lungs (WebMD).

  • Well I havent herd anyone having any problems with their lungs with it yet. Oh please Ive been using for years and my lungs are above the normal breathing...

  • LOVE THIS! I usd to have an oily nose, and bare minerals stopped the oilyness!

  • It's hard to pick the right tone from the site. The first time I ordered it it was too dark and orangey. If you have a sephora, get it from there cause they'll help you pick the right shade.

  • I tried Proactiv and it made my acne worse. :(

  • thats because it surfaces the pimples, in order to eliminate them....you have to keep using it. :P

  • best foundation ever...can't go back to anything else.

  • question-if i don't have the fglawless application brush, what kind of brush should i use?

  • defintiely. it will make you glow.

  • I've heard of this stuff but I'm not sure whether to buy it or not because I still have acne. I don't want to make it worse.

  • It should be okay. Loads of reviews from ppl suffering from acne said that it was the best thing they've tried foundationwise. If you don't want to invest too much to start with, try the ones in lower price range like L'oreal. It's really worth trying!

  • And yes, the BISQUE concealer is a must have! I also have the typical Jewish circles under the eyes, and between the foundation and bisque, everything is covered up without EVER looking caked! :)

  • You also might want to check out RareMinerals. It's a nighttime skin treatment, also a powder, & amazing! It seems expensive at first, but it lasts a long time, and it works better than anything else I've ever tried.... and I've always had a complexion with acne, acne scars, circles under the eyes, large pores, and discoloration. RareMinerals helps this, and BareMinerals makeup actually also does; not only while wearing it, but it actually *can* improve your complexion with regular use!

  • I got a "thumbs down" for recommending RareMinerals, which is a product made by Bare Escentuals? I wasn't promoting another company. SHEESH! lol

  • i had bad acne too when i started using it, but my acne got alot better after switching to it. i mean, yeah my acne showed alot for the first like 2 weeks of using it, but it's worth it b/c then you're not just covering us acne, you're making it better.

  • Yes. There's foundation for people of color and even people with darker skin tones.

  • I used bare minerals for two years and absolutely LOVED the product. I will never-ever go back to normal make-up again, but after college money got very tight. I agree There are ALOT of copy cats out there and most of them are trash. For those of you who are interested in Mineral Makeup and cant affod BE try Everyday Minerals. In my opinion its just as good if not better for less than half the price.

  • wow really nice demo, i can't wait to get my get started kit!

  • I love bareMinerals! <3 It is great because it feels like you're wearing no make-up at all but you get great coverage.

  • you have no idea how much i love this product :o)

  • It's fabulous!

  • i just ordered this, it's coming in like a week

    i can't wait! :)

  • i love it... i swear 2 god i look like one of those models in magazines with glowing skin. i don't use any blush or mascra. i finish off my make up with victorias secret lip gloss cherry bomb

  • Where did you order your makeup from? I am trying to determine the cheapest place to order it from.

  • sephora ($60 dollars) or or the bare minerals website :o) hope that helps-- and it works sooo well!

  • You can get the Get Started kit from Sephora. It comes with everything you need for a great price.

  • yes i also ordered it. seems like a good invenstment to me.

  • can you use a model who has acne etc?
