que pecho frio que son ese publico, que culo de ver a esta leyenda y tienen un tempano en el pechito, en Argentina ese estadio explotaba de la emocion !!!!
@osip78 Unless medical science changes considerably, I don't recon there is much chance of Joe going back to germany. Then again, his corpse may have more energy than that audience.
hahahah people didn't listen to Joe when he said : "ok, Rock with us"
i'm from Chile(southamerica) and my friends and I always talk about HOW BORING are europeans in concerts... it seems like they don't really enjoy music at all... we don't understand why they bother to go to gigs... Here in Chile and southamerica in general, we're so passionate, we really enjoy watching bands alive

No wonder germans are very boring people! They don't know that not all people get to watch joe perform live! If i were there I'd throw a stink bomb at these boring krauts!
i saw Joe and the Mesca's in Australia January 2000....them (and us) went completely wild....i remember it being so bloody hot that Joe dropped a pick and it stuck to his black jeans...he must have been drenched. I will never ever forget watching the mighty Joe Strummer from a few metres away.
you are looking at the real thing, never comprimised, hit you with it ,right between the eyes, though sad he is gone, i rejoice in what he left us to see, hear, feel.
I saw them open for the Who in 2000 at Wembley Arena. I had no idea they were going to be there. What a great surprise for an American who journeyed to London just to catch the Who. I enjoyed the Mescaleros as much as the Who that night. God bless you Joe. We miss you every day.
seen them at glastonbury in 99 . i did not even know they were playing when i went, turned out to be the best band that weekend. .for me anyway ! . .RIP Joe . .
Sorry if I shock anyone but I hate The Mescaleros. Joe letting those choir boys in their pretty clothes and with their fancy instrumental techniques play some of The Clash's mythical sounds is almost a sacrilege to music overall, not just punk.
Bring back Jones' mad eyes, Paul's stoner dancing, Topper's heroin-based drumming and resurrect Joe please! Apart from Mick Jones, they weren't great musicians but they had "it" and they kicked ass performing live.
Objection: The 1999 Mescaleros sucked. When he rightly fired his awful guitarist/drummer and brought in Tymon Dogg and Luke Bullen, the band got literally a thousand times better. Watch some of the Bridgewater 2002 videos Aristotlekh uploaded and be in awe of how much better they were. Specifically, Police & Thieves and Get Down Moses. They were hot shit on stage toward the end. And very energetic.
you got that spot on. couldn't have said it better mate.. seeing the clash for the first time changed everything for me ! ! music, politics, attitude, the lot ! !
Joe just put up one of the best performances and the audience is just standing there like its a jazz concert, and even those have a supportive audience. I feel bad for Joe, hes always playing his heart out.
thats what im sayin hes a legend i mean come on the front man for the clash which started alot of who we listen to today and everyone was just standin
@KCVROCKS2008 Well he is healthy and alive here. The same thing happened to John Ritter. Alive, vibrant and kicking butt then gone. It was a nice way for Joe to leave a life that was actually pretty hard on him. Really, what a way to go. Take the dog for a walk, sit at the kitchen table and die instantly. That's the way I want to go. Need to get a dog first...
I didn't like much that choirs, they weren't doing it right with Joe, as someone said before, maybe they played right but there's no passion along with the real artist. Good material anyway
