  • lol It doesn't matter how many disclaimers you put on your video, you will still have 1,000 more idiots "enlighten" you without even bothering to read the damn description. Cute ferret btw

  • Tubey! Awh such a cute name! ;D

  • I would never trust such huge dogs around my precious babies. Doesn't matter how "well trained", accidents can happen. Good luck to your ferret.

  • around my house next to my garbage cans i saw at leaste 20 ferrets eating and going a bag of sour patch kids

  • lol at 1.05 the other ferret watching from a safe distance

  • I may be being stupid with it, but I have read that ferrets almost make a "dook" sound, and mine rarely does it, so is it just the "personality" that defines the sounds they make, or is the few books I have on it (all on one author) just saying it, or is it, like I said, the personality. :l

  • @TheDeathbreeze we have a total of 4 ferrets, and 2 are more vocal then the others they'll chatter almost the entire time they are out. They are all such little individuals :)

  • Mine! Mine!(thoughts of the ferret)

  • That's so adorable! I am a ferret lover!

  • you do know it can damage the ferret picking them up off the ground while they are bitten onto somthing you cruel fuck

  • @makkapakkka LMAO do you tell that to every dog owner whom plays tug a war with their dogs, or every cat owner whose cat claws at the toys they are playing with. Not that it's any of your business, but Tubey is a live and well, with all her teeth, and diabetes free and it's 3 yrs later. So are we the "cruel fuck" you claim we are... or are you just a dumbass?

  • @makkapakkka stop being so ricdulous! thats like saying cat's shouldn't use scratching posts incase they break their nails

  • @makkapakkka Oh, settle down.

  • "Give Me It....Give Me It" "HA I GOT" "NO NO NO MINE MINE BITCH MINE!"

  • You do know you can rip a ferrets teeth out doing that ?

  • @comvet262 and did you know you can break a tooth eating popcorn balls, or get hit by a car crossing the street, or break a nail closing the door, break a toe while walking...pull a ligament lifting, break a leg while sking. I suggest we all stay home in bed and not move!

  • Man how do you keep your house clean with them . I have to keep my ferrets in my room during playtime and it looks like a mess. :P Bed sheets always excavated.

  • DEMON FERRET AT 1:14 hahahaha

  • Thats not even real licorice so I wouldnt worry too much.

  • Do u have a parrot?

  • omg okay that dog at :55 looks exactly like the dog my grandma sold and the collar to.

  • @max3783 Neat! But no they must have just been twins we had her since she was a puppy :)

  • I miss my ferrets! :'(

  • :23 Irish Jig.

  • L O L she tried to run away just like someone running on ice & so cute ;-)

  • Haha 1:05 the other ferret is all like O_O whats going on over there?!?!

  • wow what a determined little girl! bet she's the boss of the household =D

  • You are not supposed to feed animals, especially ferrets, any sugar !

  • lol ferrets make the cutest noises :D

  • @cheesecakedeath pretty sure that's the bird shown at the end, ferrets don't usually make noises like that (mostly little grunt-growl things, though I have heard them make much higher pitched sounds when in distress x_x )

  • it's like fishing for ferrets

  • wow two dogs and two ferrets? amazing that they get along :3

  • the older of my 2 ferrets eats chocolate anytime she can steal it. the younger one goes after licorice, im not a fan of it so its rarely around. Ive gotten attacked by people over it and how its "abuse" and its "horrible for them"...blah blah blah...the one is almost 8 and the other is 5...what is unhealthy for them is never giving them anything but ferret food, same goes for most animals.

some people just have to be a know-it-all and have to have things to bitch about. or they cant live

  • mine loves prawns, tuna and tomato.and he takes ham of my sandwiches when i can't see. he's mental for his fishy treats.u can't help it sometimes.they will get what they want when you're not watching :]

  • @kupadupa1984

prawns? thats a new one...ive never heard of one liking them. ill have to try it. mine will take tomatoes but never actualy eats them. haha..my 2 go crazy over the yogie treats!

  • LOL The Other Ferrets All Sneeky And Lookin Like WO O-O

  • curious, yer dog that keeps poking in, s/he is a boxer, yes? has s/he taken to making the ferrets his/her babies? XD

my old boxer used to make my guinea pigs her babies cuz she thought that their chittering and whining were puppy sounds XD

just curious to see if its like a boxer thing ;)

  • @vampirebatlord4ever they are pitbulls :) Naw they are not that attached to the ferrets, lol. That is cute about your dog though.

  • @vividcrystal1

pitties are just as lovable as boxers :D

wish i'd gotten footage of my dog doing that while we had both her and the guinea pigs XD (guineas had to be sold and given away, dog passed away this last october. in case the 'what happened to them?' question pops up :p)

  • My ferret enjoys twizzlers she smells them all the way from her room and runs out in a frenzy and starts attacking whoever has the twizzler:) ferrets are flippin crazy

  • so sweet!!! is this red thing a treat?

  • oh dear god this is just too cute

  • Plus, not that the red stuff is good for them, but the REALLY bad stuff is the black stuff. The REAL licorice, isn't it? i don't have a ferret (yet...really want one tho) but I thought I read that about the black licorice. Anyways, cute vid.

  • cute

  • its good to have more than one

  • I have some ferrets that LOVE licorice too!! I usally give them a few small pieces now and then.

  • fuzzy has a serious set of jaws on her! sooocute <3

  • hey everyone my ferret loves ginger lollies he stole a whol bag outa my partners handbag and hid them and ate them ginger babies

  • "Thats my Licorice! MEIN Gimmee NAO!"

Never stand in the way of a Ferret who wants their Licorice. >:3

  • this feeret eating the licorce is adoable lol. im dying over here. trying to escape with the licorce but it cant lol. what kind of feeret is this black footed someinthg? carmel sable?? im not sure how the mixes work. also ur ferrets fur or hair looks really really soft. do ferrets have really soft fur?? some more than others??

  • all ferrets have the potential to be soft if you feed them really good foods and give them ferretone and oil mixture regularly. My babies have perfect coats.

  • Vivid, if i could ask u one thing:

do u strongly recommend having more than one ferret in ur house? because i was originally planning to only get one, but now that i'm seeing everyone's videos, they have at least one other ferret in the house. from the looks of it, u guys have 3 dogs, 2 ferrets and 2 birds. do they better with other animals around or can they be as easily entertained by mommy and daddy (me and my faincee)?

    thanks for ur time.

  • That's a hard question. Tubesock the one in the video, sleeps alone in her own cage, and is the more "stuck up pampered princess". When they're out she plays with the ferrets a bit then likes to be left alone. The other ferrets thrive in eachothers company and LOVE to play and cuddle together.

I feel as long as you spend quality time several times a day with your ferret, one will be just fine :)

    Hope that helps.

  • i think i know what ur driving at, and yes i do plan to spend more time in the day than i actually have with it. i haven't taken care of another being as free and as vulnerable to the world as a ferret. i'm looking for a companion to travel with me on road trips (very) occasionally and also because i desire to nurse and raise a pet like a ferret since i'm not old enough for an actual human baby. i'm months away from getting one yet i'm still overwhelmingly thrilled to welcome it in my family.

  • @ballsauce2 what usually tends to happen regardless of whether or not you think your ferret buddy needs a ferret buddy of his own... they tend to multiply because YOU want more. xD it's called "ferret math" ^__^

and yes, a second ferret (unless they flat-out don't get along for some strange reason) is a good idea in general, same with rats. they're very social and having another buddy around is a good way to not get bored and have a longer lifespan... and just generally be happier.

  • @ballsauce2 I suggest more than one ferret if you can't have someone at the house for most of the day, like if you or you and everyone else in the house has an 8 hour a day job, it's best to get a pair.

If you people you can trust with the ferret at home, as long as they let it out, or give it attention several ties aday as VividCrystal suggests, then its fine.

  • THATS AWESOME!

I want a Ferret so bad!

And the Licorice thing is so funny. She seemed so determined. Love that she tried to run away with it. :)

    Cutest thing.

  • I think that's really cute, i really wanna have a ferret. But arent you hurting it's teeth when pulling it up like that, i can see the ferret's arms are shaking when you pull the licorice up. Not wanna sound like a moron but...

P.S That ferret is really cute!

    Bye

  • I appreciate your concern, but trust me she could have let go at anytime "her little arms were shaking" cause the intensity of her wanting the licorice. It's been well over a year since this video, and I am happy to announce Tubesock is diabetes free, with all of her teeth and is a live and well getting into shinanigans as usual :)

  • your ferret is soooooo cute but I have a question.. has any of your dogs attacked the ferret?? because my cousin wants one and she haves dogs that you have...

  • @ BellaShakurJackson I've never had a problem with it. The dogs have been great with the ferrets and all other small critters in the house. Which is surprising cause they do try to catch and eat the gophers outside, but they must know the ferrets are Mom's and a big No No, lol

  • @platinumguitar

Her arms aren't shaking, she's trying to grab that liquorice, but ferret arms just aren't long enough!

  • What a beautiful ferret!

  • i give all three of mine them and they are liveing long happy lives

  • sweets are good for ferrets if you people didnt know O_O if you think im wrong ask a vet they will tell you to give them a jellybean a day

  • funny my ferrets don't eat any candy or anything but ferret food idk why thou but funny vid

  • My ferret loves twizzlers with a fiery passion, i have the video posted to lol

  • lol ferrets are awesome my friend has 3 of them there especially awesome when a hyper kitten is envolved

  • Lol! Do all farrets have a thing for licorice? What happens if they get a hold of it?

  • Mine like corn on the cob and cell phones i don't let them over do it on either

  • Hmm, does ur dog's play with all ur ferret's.

  • No the ferrets are food for the dog

  • cute video!!!!!!! i lov how the other ferret walks along and was like wtf?? and walks away

  • ROFL my ferret Shane found a bag of licorice in my aunts suitcase, managed to open the suitcase, climb in, and drag out the entire bag that was three times as big as him. I had to chase him all over the house then fight him to get it back!

  • when they chirp they dont like it or are getting hurt.....means

  • That's nice... but it's the birds chirping in the background as I have TWO African Greys... they chirp because they are birds ;)

  • Don'tcha just love all the dumbasses that can't read video descriptions? This is a super cute video....Tubey is absolutely adorable!

  • my sisters ferret is the same way

  • my ferret dose the exact same thing with my purse

  • That is too cute. I also love that how the pups interact with Tubey.

  • lol the other ferret i like wtf

  • I hear a Bird Talking in the background. X3

What Ferrets wouldnt do for Licorice. :D

  • All the people saying what you should and shouldn't do ... I know you think you are being caring animal lovers but also please be aware that ferrets don't just need pellets ... they need variety. The ferrets would probably just lick the liqourice anyway and there's nothing wrong with that. Ferrets also need fun, they need to be played with as often as possible as they are naturally very playful and loving ... if you don't play with them they find it hard to bomd with you.

  • can I ask you something? what did you do when you interduced your ferret and dog to eachother?

  • We immediately put them together. I know my dogs extremely well, and would never risk putting the ferrets or any other animal on our farm in general. So I don't advise this for just anyone to try unless you can accurately predict your dogs behavior.

My dogs know what is expected of them, and I find that quarantining or placing something off limits, only makes them more curious, lol.

  • it's perfectly fine to treat your ferret to red liqourice infrequently. It can be bad in high amounts for a ferrets diet but red liqourice is hardly liqourice anyway. It contains only a fraction of the liqourice extract that normal liqourice does. There are obviously health hazards with high sugar intake and ferrets have been known to develop diabetes after being indulged on high-sugar foods. Just be sure to cut the red liqourice up into small chunks and only give them one or two pieces. :)

  • If you spray a shoelace with ferretone they love it. It's safer than liquorice (I'm not berating you, my girls sometimes get the pepperoni from my pizza lol) and you can play like that all the time without them getting sugar rushes and shit like that.

  • We only did the licorice tug a war that once, but that's cool I am definitely gonna try that out!! Thanks :)

  • Iknow ferretone can be difficult to get hold of so I did a little sarching and found a recipe for a home made equivalent ... my girls love it.

    1/2 part cod liver oil

    1 part sunflower oil

    1 part vegetable oil

2 parts good quality olive oil

  • You're awesome!! I already know they will love it, as Tubesock tries to get in my cupboard to get at the cooking spray, so this sounds right up her alley, lol.

OMG... just thought of it... can't wait for the comments about cholesterol, and clogged arteries.

Disclaimer: Please note aikifan77's comment above... you spray it on, you don't saturate the shoelace in it.

  • Don't worry too much .... the girls love it and it's close enough to the actual recipe for commercial ferretone. On top of everything else the od liver oil is good for them, full of vitamins and stuff, they will go mental for it if you rub some on your neck, I used it to train Chade as she was very very nippy, now she doesn't bite at all. Slink is a lot calmer anyway but it helps them put on a little weight when their diet is pellet based.

  • dude.......ignore the rude comments........HUMANS shouldn't eat licorice either, but we do.....a little bit isn't going to kill you.

    ferrets are awesome

  • She is absolutely adorable! I also have 1 out of 3 that looks just like yours. They are so much fun to watch and are so highly intelligent. Love your little video here. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!

  • "i'm not letting go of that licorise its mine"

i bet that was what the ferret was saying.

    he was so cute.

  • WOW your ferret looks just like mine ! So adorable !!! Very cute... mine does that as well, hangs on to something she likes !! CUTE CUTE CUTE !

And your dog seems to get along with your ferrets well :)

  • Thanks :) All 5 of our Bullies get along with our ferrets awesome. Especially with the young ones they like to cling onto the dog's legs and hang on, lol

  • just give it to her although its loaded in sugar and not healthy4 them at all

  • ?????

  • I have 5 ferrets, and you do have to gaurd against too much sugar, but give me a break, this is sweet and funny, and if the ferret didn't want to keep going, believe me, it would stop. My babies are Divot, Belle, Amber, Bear and Sascha. They love yogurt treats, fruit loops, carnivore care, ferretone and anything else they can grab hold of...

  • Heehee wood floors and Ferrets, what a great combination :-D

  • Ferrets are not confined to simply eating ferret pellets folks. My Ferret enjoys a diet very similar to mine, he is always on the table sharing my meals with my (Ferry loves ice cream!) I actually rarely get to the pet store anymore to buy ferret pellets because he is happy and healthy with his human diet.

  • What a cutie... and how she get's mad about not getting the liquorice, gorgeous. :D

  • People are insane about pets. They can impassively watch videos of atrocities abroad but god forbid your ferret ever gets a hold of licorice!!

  • OMG.... how right you are :) But little do those people know, I own a household of animals , and keep them ALL alive on a diet of licorice and sugar .. bwhaha << that's supposed to be evil laughter lol.

Seriously though, I would like to thank all of you who have showed your support, know how to read a video description, know that you can't judge an entire animals life by a 2 min video, and/ or read more into a video then what's there. I love my babies and if people can't see that then....

  • My first ferret was like that with fries from Burger King or McDonalds :)

  • It looks like she really liked it! That's cute!

  • I know ROFL!

  • Haha thats so cool you named your ferret Tubey! It reminds me when my friends first saw my ferrets they said they just looked like long tubes with a head and little feet lol

  • you should just let him have it ........but on the other hand FERRETS SHOULD NOT HAVE SUGAR...........at least i dont think.....

  • ill post a nice comment, unlike most people who have posted [ who clearly must have not read your description ]

love it ! cutest ferrets ever !

  • Thanx :) Very much appreciated !!

  • no problem, i just baught a ferret too, named him Moogan ! hes a little crazy bugger haha

  • ferrets should NEVER have sugar....it leads to insulonoma or adreanal diesease! YOU ARE GOING TO KILL YOUR FERRET!

  • Sorry it would be IMPOSSIBLE to "NEVER" give a ferret sugar, like you are stating.

For one, sugar is an ingredient in many foods, often occuring naturally.

Plus the FERRET TREAT I bought "Yogies" , the first ingredient is sugar. Even then as Simonethegreat stated... Sugar is ok in Moderation.

BUT THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE ANTHRAX270 !

  • Read the f*cking profile dumbass....the ferret was NOT fed the licorice.....

  • Wow, she's so strong! She can just hang on the licorice with her teeth! XD

  • does that ferret beep? weird.

  • The beeping , talking (other then mine) and various other noises in the background, is our African Greys :)

  • awee that's adorable! reminds me of my old ferret, she LOVED juicy fruit, she'd always find a way to sneak into my backpack and steal it and stash it away under my bed [like I didn't know]. haha.

Don't worry though, she didn't actually eat any of it, just liked to take it and hide it, then after she hid it and was off looking for somewhere to sleep I'd get it back so she wouldn't eat it or nothing. xD

    I miss her...

  • There is nothing funnier then checking the ferrets stash spots to see what the deemed as "treasures" . I am probably gonna get some bad comments about this but... dare I say sometimes we forget to lock up the lunch snack cupboard, and Tubey always seems to know ... we realize our mistake when we see her race under the couch with something crinkly. Usually a bag of sponge bobs, or fruit roll ups, sometimes poptarts, but she can't run so fast dragging them, lol.

    Sorry about your loss sweetie

  • sure its all for fun but be careful not to hurt the poor thing

  • It's been well over a year since this video was made. Tubey is alive and well , still getting into shinanigans . This is no different then a person playing tug a war with a dog :)

  • One ferrets are not suppose to have sugars. And dos that is just cruel, let him have it. And also the name of the person sending this is the name of my ferret tske off the 101

  • lol so like the from the golden compass?

  • You are a fucking moron. Your first point is that ferrets shouldn't have sugar, and then you make a second point that they should have given the piece to the ferret. Make up your mind, dipshit.

  • you are right that ferrets should not have very much sugar, but every now and then it does not matter. A small treat of sugar is fine. I don't think licorice was the best thing. And they are just playin with it. this is not cruel at any point the ferret could have left. They did not let it have the WHOLE thing that is the only thing to worry about. and they did not let that happen. So stop fussing and shut up. I have 14 ferrets I think I might know a little better then you!

  • omg give it the god damn ffffooooooooooooooooooooood

  • My girl ferret auna goes CRAZY if she finds chocolate! Girls. Go figure :-p

  • LOL what a dedicated little girl ferret.. So cute!

  • lol when it had the licorice it tried to escape X]

  • "Tubey" is by far the best name I've ever heard for a ferret.

  • That is the funniest thing I've ever seen! So cute!!! I have a sable ferret too! Her name is Mocha! I also have a partially white ferret, his name is Gizmo!

  • lol she must like the licorice a lot. or she might just want to use the licorice to play tug of war with u.

  • just give it da licorice!plus simplewimsy i dont really let my ferrets out they live in a big cage in our garden and we beg our parents to keep them inside the house but they say where would we put them and we are allergic plus we made the conserfatory a lot nicer so they cant come in....

  • Mine do that with socks. No sock is safe when the ferts are on the loose, hehe.

  • how difficult are ferrets to deal with whats the pros and cons of ferret ownership?

  • I encourage other ferret owners to reply as well, as I will probably be missing a bunch of things.

    PROS

mischievous, entertaining, unique, cute, some are cuddly (mine are not), hilarious, pretty easy to litter train (even then accidents are easily cleaned up). They really are such characters :)

    CONS

For some the smell, can be destructive, mischievous, not a lot of vets know how to treat them if they are ill, they never seem to live long enough (but that seems to be the case with all pets) :(

  • Ferrets are high maintenance. They are not cage animals, and must be let out for at LEAST four hours daily. They need a lot of attention, and they need toys and you to interact with. I recommend buying Ferrets for dummies, or checking it out at your local library. Ferrets are smart, and cute and very worthwhile pets IF you're willing to put in the time and the learning for them.

  • You have to ferret proof everywhere you will allow them to run around. Which means somtimes modifying doors, windows, air vents.

  • OMG YOUR CRUEL CRUEL PERSON how can you give Tubey LICORICE!.... just joking =]

Aww Tubey is addorable! and your dog 2! <3

  • I know .... I'm going to hell in a handbasket... that's all there is to it :)

Thanks, with a face that cute, she definitely runs this house!!

  • You don't need to take it to the vet if you don't get it sick moron

  • I wish it was that easy, but saddly ferrets and domestic rats are very prone to a variety of illnesses. I believe it's due to the limited Gene pool :(

  • my ferretsdo that!!!! LOL!!!!!:)

  • Goddamn California and their laws... :( I'd get one anyways but in the case it needed medical care, I couldn't go to the vet without them reporting me and destroying my ferret. I'll kill the vet instead...

  • do ferrets smell very bad??

will it stink up the hole house?

  • You can give them a bath.

  • ferrets are descented when they are young.kind of like how a skunk has a scent they take that out. my parents and i figured out it is their food that causes the smell. Oh and their water dish has to be cleaned every time you give them more water because their diet is high fat so it has a residue

  • people exaggerate the smell.. honestly if u clean up after them, give them baths every second week, its completely fine.

  • We also use Bi-Odor. Ferret Waste Deodorizer in their water. It's made with 100% natural ingredients, and is made for ferrets.

Now if only I could make it so my dogs weren't so smelly... lol.

  • ferrets are os cute! if ferrets like licorice theyl like m family, i cant wait untill christmas im getting kit ferret i cant wait theyre so cute!

  • i love pop tarts lol:P i like the chocolate ones but hate the rest lol

  • cute ferret...5 stars

  • My ferrets loved the filled licorice ^_^ they had so many pieces stashed in my livingroom =D

  • Oh my god, that is so cute :D

  • how OLD is she??

  • She's about 2 now :)

  • I think she is about 2 now :)

  • Oh yes, Tubey is also a fellow poptart Conisour. I don't know what attrects her more the smell or the sound of the crinkly wrapper, lol

  • aww too cute! that's so funny, my baby girl Mika goes crazy like that only for her squeaky ball and grape flavored pez (go figure!)! And my little boy Logan is batty for milk, especially choco-milk. Why do they only want the stuff that's bad for them? Lol! You have a beautiful furbaby :)

  • Isn't that the truth, lol !!

  • Is she your only one? She looks like a furball of fun!

  • no we have 3 :)

  • My largest ferret has an obsession like this, except the food is peach rings, and he got really violent when he grabbed a hold of it.

He hissed and squealed, but I stopped him from eating it.

  • ROFL! that is the funniest thing ive seen all day! lol

  • nice video! i miss my babies, hope to get more next year. gotta be carefull with that licorish though. my little boy, rascal once got into a tug of war with over a bit of licorish. he knew he wouldent win so he let go of te candy and attacked dads hand, and made off with his prize, it was hilarious! FERRETS RULE!

  • lol. I don't know what it is about licorice.... maybe the smell. They do rule... they are just packed full of personality in such a tiny weasely body :)

  • you have lot of pets

  • lol! he was reaching for it. the albino ferret was like "what's going on?"

  • so, I was looking well your ferret and it's so cute, how old is your baby? the sounds that make is really funny, so, does your baby make a sound like giggling or laugh?

  • Tubesock is 1 1/2 - 2 yrs old.

I think I would go with giggling :)

  • Tuby looks like my ferret, who once attempted to climb walls to get into a garbage bin with cold, nasty French fries in it. He loves potatoes, and they are horrible for him. He managed to steal ONE fry years ago, ran behind my friend's fridge (we were visiting), ate it, proclaimed it delicious, and has been trying to duplicate his feat ever since. He'll try to lick my fingerprints smooth if I have touched a French fry and then gotten near him before washing my hands first!

  • uummmmm you shoudnt be teasing your ferret so dang long especially with that crap candy which can clog its intestines and kill it horribly

  • Sweet, thanks for the info. It's a good thing we don't feed it to her, therefor we know she isn't going to die a horrible death by licorice. We have 5 pitbulls , 3 ferrets and numerous other pets, and rescues, and all are alive and well, but I appreciate the advice. Cheers.

  • yea, i read below that you guys got a heck of alot of animals and i think thats pretty cool

  • Licorice is not the best thing for ferrets. Sugar causes numerous heath problems in them. Just thought you'd like to know. ;o)

  • Thanks for the info... it must also be added that ferrets are at risk for diabetes. Just cause she loves it doesn't mean we feed it to her. But thanks again :)

  • Ummm 5 horses (2 of which were action rescues), 5 pitbulls ( one of which was headed to the SPCA) 2 cats, 2 African Greys, 2 ferrets (WE took in Socky who was on deaths door when we got him), 2 wild skunks ( we rescued as babies) they will be released this spring, chickens , a chinchilla, and a corn snake. I think I covered everyone :)

  • Nice vid, he really likes licorice. How many animals do you have? I counted 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and a parrot...
