But still I think you did a good job, and that you shall keep up working :) I am not experienced enough to advise you precisely, but maybe you should try to start the piaff from standstill or even backing to make it less jumpy. And watch the tact! This is most important! Good luck :)

  • I see your point and I totally agree with you. Being the first horse I ever trained I'm happy, but I am starting to train other even better horses and I will pursue what you so clearly explain. A more even and steady passage must be somewhere along my future.... Thanks a lot!

  • Hi! I was so pleased when I saw your first video because your horse had a very pure tact! Even if I suspected you could get some problems teaching a horse piaff from passage (they might learn a very jumpy piaff, which is more a standstill passage than a piaff). Now your horse has learned this standstill passage, but not really a piaff yet. He jumps from side to side with his backlegs and does not get the energy properly through his back. (I write more in another comment, no more characters)
