'Where's Wally?', I thought, always had vague similarities with 'Inspector Gadget' although with more differences:
1. Both were produced by DIC.
2. Both protagonists have dog companions, although the equivalent of 'Wally''s Penny is missing.
3. Both Quimby and Whitebeard act as both protagonists' bosses respectively; the former attempts to uncover Claw, the latter solves mysteries.
4. Claw and Odlaw are both everpresent antagonists, although Odlaw is more of a comic relief.
