Just bought a Leader Hooks Prime.

The batteries had to come out immediately.

The only problem I have with it is the front half wants to split apart on me.

Of the three movie Optimus', this one is the best. Wife picked this one up for me as a surprise. It's the closest in resembling the movie model, articulation, and detail...lots of detail that has me drooling since I want to paint over the metal bits and some of the smaller stuff. DotM Leader Class OP is a step back to me. Don't know why. Just don't like the figure. The trailer is friggin awesome, tho'. As far as the 2007 Leader OP, it's not the most accurate to the movie but I like it

because it's like having the "boxy" g1 Optimus mixed in with the live action design. Really hefty toy and detailed.

When I viewed your review of the ROTF Ldr Op a month or so ago, I knew it was big (it towered over the Voyager class by almost two times) but man, having it in your hands, you really get a sense of how good this figure really is. I almost made it all the way through the transformation into truck mode but got stuck on the cab of the truck, which would be the chest windows.

@farihinman Possibly the battle damage repaint. It's from the Hunt for the Decepticons line. At least I think, cuz i have that one myself. Orange box? If yes, it's the HFTD one, it has snap-out battle hooks instead of the swords.

Also do you know if a crafts store like Michaels caries gold and silver spray paint, because I plan on doing some paint mods on my figure when I get my hands on one? Are the pieces like the windshield visors and what not easy to take off or should I also invest in some painters tape? And by that logic, would spray paint be the best route or should I hand paint the pieces with a brush?

these are so much tougher to transform nowadays xD I used to have two transformers a red truck im guessing optimus, and a blue truck that could carry toy cars, they transformed super easily (bit stiff looking though) BUT you could combine the two together adn you'd have this massive awesome looking robot which also had a different voice button that appeared when transformed that way, i gotta look that thing up again tomorrow..

I saw this one amazon and seen it was like $90 then I went to a kmart and they still had some for the regular price so I picked one up.
