thanks for taking the time. p.s. the only thing I was missing were the surgical gloves LOL. really? that 440 big block double pumper cant be that greasy.
@Highrise408 that's very unfortunate name in Poland - in polish "sram" means "i am shiting" :) so, many people in Poland prefers to pronounce "s-ram" :D
Great demo, the simplest explanation on Youtube. But Goddamn it, don't you DARE tell me to have a great day! That's just way too much pressure on me. Isn't it enough I make it out of bed to join this tragic sad carnival we call life? You expect greatness too? My stars and garters, don't you just think you're the cat's ass?!
@jimmyhartley it might be that your rear derailleur's spring is getting old and there is poor tension, not the likliest of causes though, are you running a 9 speed chain on an 8 speed perhaps, more slack in the chain = more chance of it coming off
½ turn, ¼ turn, and micro turn was very helpful. I have been missing the mark over and over by making too big a turn of the barrel, despite the barrel being indented to help me feel the increments. This video helped me understand that the process is a delicate one, not one that can be rushed. Thanks.
i have a question about my gears when i pedal exceptionally hard on my bike in gear 7 the chain skips and makes it harder to pedal. this also happens in my gear 8. should i tighten or loosen the cable like u said or do you think my derailleur hanger is bent. thanks for your video james.
Thank you very much, I've just made my gears perfect thanks to this video

Can anyone help?
2wk old bike, gear changes are OK on the bench but when I load the pedals on the road: the chain jumps the rear cogs = vasectomy-gear-change..oucha!
MrSHAJW 6 months ago
@MrSHAJW Ok,I'm answering my own question:
I've now found that the rear gear cluster is in an eccentric orbit around the rear spindle???
2 Week old bike is kaput ...don't buy a muddy fox..it was knackered from the factory!!

Where's that

Same principle applies to any bike. It's a matter of turning the adjuster barrels.
