this completly almost the same as Sorani. They said he sang this sonm in Xaneqini Kurdish (which can be Gurani or Kalhuri) but i guess Laki,Gurani,Kalhuri = almost 1 and very easy for us to understand. SOrani is closer to them than to Kurmanji. We all are the same.
I am lak from Iran...I should say that none of laks has been lurified or persionfied!!! how do you say that??? In lak cities, all people speak in Laki...about Lurs...most of lurs in these cities undrestand laki and the luri that they speak is very similar to laki. However, I believe that Kurd, Laks, and Lurs have the same root and are a unit nation.
First of all I was very happy to see that there exists other laks outside turkey..
How many Lakis do live in Iran and in what cities?
In turkish part of turkey there is about 4 small cities and about 100 laki villages and in kurdish part there is about 40-50 that I know about there is probably more but most have forgotten their language and speak kurmanji in kurdish part of turkey..
I am looking forward for more info about lakis in iran
My name is Saman Zaki, residing in Copenhagen, Denmark. I am a Feyli Kurd from Baghdad but my forefathers are from Ilam in Iranian Kurdistan. In my family we have many Laks, so in a way I am a Lak too:-)
With respect to the of Laks in Iran their total number is estimated to at least 1.5 mio. Unfortunately most of them have become lurified or persianized. Besides these Laks there are at least 3 mio kurds whose language is classified as Laki/Kirmanshani or Feyli.
