Like I said before I'm no fan of Bush or fundamentalism of any kind. I actually agree with some of what you said. Humans will always have bad guys and we have to take responsibility for our Democracy's. Sometimes when people have it good they get lazy and fall asleep. My point is that we have today and we have had in the past countries that are officially atheist, & they are are not bastions of freedom. I don't see atheist flocking to the five or six countries that are still officially atheist.

It is equally valid NOT to believe in god and to remove oneself from the religion one grew up in and was made a member of as a baby.
